Just enough “magic” to be fun, just enough tension to keep it interesting. Love the setting – though I will never visit there, loved reading about a place Down Under.
Love this!! I just couldn’t put it down. Three spinster aunts, a funny little bed and breakfast, witches, wine, and more in a paranormal stew. I finished reading this mystery in one sitting.
witches, vampires, murder, amateur sleuth, law enforcement, humor, bed & breakfast, Australia
Welcome to another view of reality in Australia. Ms Best has a fun new series involving witches, vampires, a rather odd bed and breakfast, a winery, and some really interesting magic. The characters are always interesting, and the tidbits of local lore and flora/fauna really add to the story! The publisher’s blurb gives hints and there is no need for spoilers. There is also no erotica. Once again, the setting is not urban, and I think that’s a good thing. I have enjoyed her other series, and this one looks to be just as much fun!
What a fun read. Morgana Best never disappoints. And it wasn’t exactly what I had anticipated, only better. On to the next.
Lots of fun, definitely a series I want to continue reading

A Marvelous Story Full of Mystery!
A marvelous story full of mystery! This book sends readers to the edge of their seats with thoughts racing over possible suspects, but of course the twists at every corner leaves much for the imagination as more suspicions and clues and surprises arise. The ending is definitely unexpected. And the relationship between Pepper and Lucas is a brilliant addition as it starts out so rocky and full of emotion and confusion.
My issue, which drops a star, is due to repetitiveness. I can’t stand when authors give information over and over and over again. The worst part is when this occurs a handful of times within three pages. There are literally conversations that repeat themselves with various different characters in a short amount of time. I get that all involved with the plot eventually need to be in on the information, but the information can be referenced to rather than repeated.
Also, the kiss was a kiss, not an almost kiss. Lips touched.
