If you haven’t read this book, you should. I think that whenever a dog is the protagonist, you probably know how it is going to end. But it is so seldom that you laugh along the way. My dogs, who I lost at 12, 13 and 13 years, were not nearly so entertaining as Marley but their places in my heart were equally secure.
If you have had a pet..you can relate
Loved this. I really appreciated the authenticity of the early days of the couple’s married life. It is so clear from the book how Marley was truely a member of the family. The scene where the author tries to get Marley in the car is priceless and always makes me smile when I think of it.
Wonder dog story. You’ll laugh and cry.
I loved this book, chiefly because I love animals, especially dogs. I laughed through much of it because, as a dog parent, I can relate to some of the shenanigans Marley pulled. What a personality!
Great books for those with dogs or those without. So funny and endearing. That’s why it was a best seller and a movie.
i love the book so i should love the book.
I guess I’m not a true dog lover.
Any one who has love a pet will relate to this wonderfulbook.
As is alwys the case-much better than the movie. Funny and stressful anecdotal read about the worlds most neurotic dog. Only a true dog lover would understand why they didnt give him up.
