A stand-alone USA Today bestselling comedy from your favorite snort-laughing duo! LiamThe moment Sadie Matthews walks through the daycare center door, I feel my world tilt in her direction. Again. I fell for her when I was fourteen, and I’m still not over her. Problem: she still thinks of me as a teen she used to babysit. But I’ve learned a few things about pleasing a woman in the last fifteen … a woman in the last fifteen years. I can’t wait to show her how good it could be. I need to move quickly before I lose her again. This is more than a game to me, but I still plan to win.
Sadie
I’ve just survived the worst year of my life. As a single mom of twin toddlers, I don’t have time for a man. I barely have time to finish a thought. Who knew that Liam McAllister would grow up to be so devastating? He’s everything my husband was not: tall, built, and willing to have a tea party with my girls.
I can’t possibly get involved with him. He’s too young for me. Too handsome. But he’s so persuasive…

Q & A about Boy Toy
Q: Is this really a stand-alone?
A: It really, really is. No experience necessary. Jump in anywhere.
Q: Will the age difference between Sadie and Liam vast?
A: Not at all! It’s only weird to Sadie because she’s going through some things. Funny things. And Liam’s take is… You’ll see. His inner teenager has a few things to say about the situation and you will not want to miss them.more
“I’ll go home if you want me to. But I’d rather explore every inch of your body. With my tongue.”
Boy Toy by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby is a laugh out loud romantic comedy that will have you blushing, swooning, and giggling in no time! Liam and Sadie were PERFECT together! I loved their flirtatious dynamic. I loved how Liam wouldn’t give up on the stubborn and beautiful single mother of adorable twin girls. My heart broke for the hit that Sadie’s self esteem took with her now ex-husband. But Liam had no problems with taking care of that every chance he could get. When Sadie finally let her walls down to let Liam in, the pages exploded with so much heart and so much heat! I loved every minute of this delightful, hilarious, and entertaining love story. It was fast-paced, easy to read, and I was smiling the whole way through. Sarina and Tanya have proven over and over again what a great team they make and I hope they never stop writing together.
In my circle, I don’t come across a lot of older woman/younger man romances, which is too bad, because after devouring Boy Toy, I kinda crave more of that certain dynamic. Boy Toy is the third book in the ‘Man Hands’ series but it can be read as a complete standalone. It doesn’t matter what order you read these in, but one thing is for certain…you MUST read them all at some point because they are all AMAZING!
I just loved Boy Toy! One hot MILF, one hot younger man with a 14-year-old’s fantasies running through his mind, 2 adorable, precocious tots. Bring them together and what do you get? The hot, sweet and swoony goodness of Boy Toy.
Sadie is a divorced mother of twin toddler girls. She’s a therapist. She’s barely got her life together. And she’s about to get her world rocked by the boy (ahem, MAN) she used to babysit when he was 14, almost 15, and she was 21. She’s dropping her girls off at daycare when she’s astonished to see Liam, the boy she used to babysit. She doesn’t even recognize him at first, instead ogling his Chris Hemsworth-like biceps, but when they start talking and it becomes apparent who he is, she’s dying. And when he tells her later that he wants a hot, no strings kinda thing so he can play out all the fantasies he’s had of her since he was a teenager, who is she to reject the man?!
Of course, we all know it won’t end up being as no-strings as either intends, because of course not. What it ends up being is really a pretty beautiful relationship where Sadie finally finds a partner who’s as all in with her kids as he is with her. Her ex certainly wasn’t all in with either Sadie or their beautiful daughters, so for her to find an amazing partner in Liam, a younger man, is sort of mind-boggling for her. She bumbles and fumbles around, but Sarina and Tanya don’t pull the angst fest on us readers, thank God, and let them resolve her issues without too much time going by or too much back and forth. I love how mature Liam is, (he really is more mature than Sadie!) and how perfectly these two fit each other.
If you’re in the mood for something sexy and swoony with the perfect amount of humor and romance, I highly recommend you dive into Boy Toy today!
Oh my…Boy Toy is EXCEPTIONALLY WONDERFUL! Wow, what a absolute hoot this was! I laughed, I sighed, I think I even dreamed of my VERY own younger man. After reading this hilariously entertaining romantic comedy, I have found myself craving more younger man/older woman rom-coms!
Boy Toy was FANFREAKINGTASTIC. The characters are downright fun and crazy interesting. The story oozes sensuality, charm, with a hint of the forbidden that had me squirming in absolute delight. I freaking LOVED LOVED LOOOOOOOOOOOVED every single freaking thing about this book and enjoyed it IMMENSELY! Highly recommended, this one.
Boy Toy gets a DELICIOUSLY FUNNY FIVE GLORIOUS, HEART STOPPING STARS!
Reading Boy Toy was such an absolute BLAST! There were countless snort-laughs and giggles and happy sighs and curling of toes all throughout.
“I’m a single mom who is six years older than him. He’s a sexy bachelor who has his whole future ahead of him. I’m the cougar. He’s the snack.”
I honestly don’t think I’ve ever read a book where there’s a considerable age gap between the couple, and the woman was the one who’s older. And I sure as hell didn’t think it’s something that’ll ever appeal to me, but Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby has certainly worked their magic because I LOVED this book from cover to cover! Everything was just so real and relatable and thigh-slappingly hilarious!
“‘I have a confession to make,’ Sadie says. Fourteen-year-old Liam immediately reacts. Please say you want to touch my boner! Pleeeeeease!”
I loved Liam McAllister and his inner fourteen-year-old with all my heart. He’s too adorable and sexy and funny and smart and amazing with the twins and Sadie. Winning over his affections is absolutely like scoring a great 10-in-1 deal at a supermarket. Getting him—owning his heart—will utterly make you the luckiest girl in the world. That’s definitely how I’d feel if I were in Sadie’s shoes. He’s just all-around PERFECTION. And seriously, a man that hot and nerdy being super responsible, taking care of and dealing with kids like it’s second nature to him, needs a warning label slapped all over him. It’s just beyond swoon- and drool-worthy.
“Kate! Do not head-butt that tree!” Sadie calls.
Kate stops running and glares at Sadie.
“Why?!”
“What did that tree do to you?”
Although the icing on the cake, I think, were Sadie Mathews’ two-year-old twins. Kate and Amy definitely spiced things up and took this story to a whole other level. They were the sweetest, funniest and quirkiest little humans. I just wanted to reach inside this book and squeeze them both so hard.
“I have, uh, a rather peculiar laugh that I try to conceal, because it’s low. Really low. It’s—fuck it. I have a man-laugh, okay? So I’m man-laughing right now.”
I don’t think I could fully express how much I adored this. I could probably tell you a million times over and it still wouldn’t be enough. It was just too damn good. Sadie and Liam together were so captivating and their history just makes everything all the more entertaining. It truly managed to make me laugh my butt off and tug at my heartstrings like crazy at the same time.
“You and me, we’re going to be a forever thing. I promise.”
Boy Toy was indeed like a happy drug. If you’re craving for a book that’s guaranteed to give you an incredibly delightful time—one that will leave you floating on cloud nine with the goofiest smile and a heart filled to the brim with love and adoration for the cutest family ever—then pick this baby up and dive right in. You wouldn’t regret a second of it!
P. S. Liam (aka the Hottest Manny in Town), is MINE. I’m stamping my name all over that sexy ass.
Ladies and Gentlemen, Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby are romcom gold. I thoroughly enjoyed this story as both Liam and Sadie were so deliciously sexy as they were adorable. I loved the premise of the story and the swoony connection between our hero and heroine.
I thought Boy Toy was a great addition to this series and could not get enough of these two. Brynn and Ash were great but there was something about Sadie’s relateabilty that I loved. A woman in her thirties who is struggling to get her mojo back with a divorce under her belt and a mom of twin toddlers. But when twenty-nine year old Liam Mcallister, a blast from her past, takes one look at Sadie and recognizes her as his babysitter from fifteen years ago, he makes it his mission to show her alll the ways he’s come from being a teenager.
Gah! This was fantastic. Liam was sweet and sexy and hit all the right buttons. I just loved his devotion to Sadie and her girls as it hit me right in the mom feels to see this kind and nurturing man devote himself to babies. Gahh!! All in all this was great and I look forward to more! 4 stars! ~Ratula
I fell A LOT in love with this book. The series is INTENSELY good, and this book is more than a cherry on top (even though it can be read as a standalone). Now let me share just a bit on why I connected so much with this book. The quality of writing and storytelling made my toes curl. As we first meet Liam, the imagery is so clear that you can vividly picture him playing with the kids, the smile on his face, the rivulets of sweat (I have never loved jogging more), and the way he looks at Sadie. You can fully feel and see the depth of his emotions and thoughts. Best of all, Liam’s inner dialogue between his 14-year-old and adult selves is perfection.
As for Sadie, she is beautifully tragic and strong. Your heart breaks with her as a mother and woman. Better off, your ovaries explode right alongside her, too. Her struggle to let herself be more than a mom, to allow herself happiness is so bittersweet. But there are some quality moments of hilarity (because these authors are amazing like that) to balance out the heartache and steaminess factors.
While it’s true that I will ALWAYS read anything by Sarina Bowen, because come on – it’s Sarina Bowen, this is probably one of the best romance books I’ve read this year. I adore the characters, the story, the pace of the book, and how everything shook in just the perfect way. I not only fell for Liam (because it’s LIAM!), but for Liam and Sadie. #RelationshipGoals
I strongly recommend this book. Pick it so you can swoon and get teary-eyed along with the rest of us.
I’m loving this writing duo of Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby because these two very talented authors show know how to write a very funny rom-com together but they also manage to put so much more into it yes Boy Toy is a romantic comedy but there is so much much more to Sadie and Liam’s story.
Sadie a recently divorced mum of twin 2 year olds is putting her little girls in daycare for the first time and she is struggling with it but once she arrives at the centre and sees a welcoming face from her past her mind is put at ease buts that’s not all just one look at Liam McAllister and she gets feelings in parts of her body that she hasn’t used in a while. The problem with all of this is Liam was the 14 year old teenager that crushed on Sadie when she babysat for when she was 19 what will happen now he’s all grown up will he still have those feelings……..
This book had me laughing out loud the twins were adorable and had some brilliant one liners and when I wasn’t laughing I was left smiling like a Cheshire Cat. I loved the story I loved the characters in fact I loved it all and I really hope we get more from this duo.
Oh my gosh, I just loved this one! It’s my new favorite of the series. The plot was original and fun. It was witty, steamy and tugged on the heart strings. Liam and Sadie were adorable and just perfect for each other.
Boy Toy is the third book in the Man Hands series, which revolves around three best friends. I have absolutely adored this series, Sadie and Liam’s story is just the icing on a very delectable cake!
Sadie was the babysitter when Liam was fourteen years old. Well she was more the babysitter to his younger siblings. She was Liams first crush! He never forgot about her or that innocent summer they spent together. Now she’s back in his life and this time he’s going to make sure she knows exactly how he feels about her and plans on her his.
Sadie is a divorced, single mom of adorable twin girls. With a ex who doesn’t leave a lot to be desired and a bad run of home care nannies, she’s forced to resort to daycare. Little does she know, that walking into this daycare will be a change for not only her girls but a life altering change for her too.
Liam is working at a daycare while trying to finish up his graduate degree. He never expected for his childhood crush to walk into the daycare. But from the moment he see’s her, he wants nothing more than to get close to her. He knows Sadie is a mum first, but with the more time he spends with Sadie and her adorable girls. He knows its the whole package he wants.
I loved both of these characters separately but even more together. With great chemistry Liam’s outgoing personality and both of their ability’s to just make the best of every situation. Made them endearing and you just can’t help but fall in love with their story. His love for kids and the natural way he just jumps in and plays a dad role was just perfect. He always put all three of their needs first and foremost. Also the little snippets of Liam’s inner fourteen year old dialog was hilarious.
“Fourteen-year-old Liam runs off to make popcorn and waits to see what happens next.”
Hearing about the boy, who grew into a sexy man, get the girl of his dreams was FANTASTIC!
This story was sweet, funny and I loved it!
I hope you do too!
It’s Sadie’s chance to be free and experience a little something, something. Throw in a wink and a nudge and you get the idea.
Sadie married an ass. That ass was banging the nanny while Sadie was trying to wrangle their twins. So yeah, ass! That ass will never make father of the year, if you have doubts I’m wrong- keep reading the book. (He won’t win!) I could prove his epic assiness (totally a word) but I feel your indignation should be saved for when he opens his mouth.
That ass isn’t her Boy Toy. No, he isn’t even on the same level as the boy toy. Boy Toy is the perfect, perfect man. Sigh. He really is. All judgements aside. Any man that….wait! I can’t tell you! You almost got me to spill. Nope, just know this-
The title says Boy Toy but he is 110% real man. He is just what the doctor ordered. Even if she can’t believe he’s real.
This series had me entertained from book one. These woman feed you; Balls, dips, booze and a sense of humor that can only come from crazy or genius. Enjoy it, I certainly did!
Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
We already met Sadie in the first two books. (But you can totally read this book as a standalone though – but you should also definitely read the amazingly hilarious first 2!!)
Sadie used to be married – more or less happily. Now she’s a single mom to her two adorable 2-year-old twin girls Kate and Amy.
Enter Liam – he’s working at the day care center where Sadie has to park her girls every morning.
Liam used to be madly in love with Sadie. 15 years ago, when he was a pimply 14 year old and Sadie was the hot 20 year old nanny for his younger siblings.
Liam is still mega-attracted to Sadie – he could definitely see something long-term. But Sadie couldn’t start anything with him, right? She’s not a cougar!!! But he’s sooooo hot and nice and amazing with the girls … ugh …..
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO SADIE & LIAM???
WILL THERE BE A HEA??
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT
ADORABLE!
I loved every moment of this story.
The three girlfriends together are hilarious!
The toddlers are mega adorable!
Sadie and Liam together are SPARKAGE!
They would be so amazing together, but of course poor Sadie thinks it would be wrong to date such a young guy. The babysitter of her kids!
But five years younger is nothing! 29 is the perfect age for a guy, right???!!!
And then there’s also the fact that Liam might have to leave the country for his university research stuff for a few months … Added to that are problems with her ex husband and his parents ….Those two definitely have some stuff to overcome until we can ride off into our happily ever after sunset together!
This was such an amazingly adorable and funny and sexy and swoony romance with some serious moments and problems thrown into the mix!
What’s hotter than a sexy guy being all adorable with those two twin girls? Ugh!
Those two little girls are soo cute. I love the little future football player with her helmet! LOL!
I adored this book and I really hope those 2 ladies will bring us something new one day soon!
There’s still Sadie’s sister and Braht’s brother left to find partners for! And I wouldn’t mind reading about Liam’s siblings either! So that’s 5 more possible books by those 2 amazing writing partners! YAY!
Another thing I really like – the setting of these books. We’re in Grand Rapids, Michigan. No book has ever stepped foot into Michigan. I really love it when we’re in a real place. Not some imaginary town in Anywhere, USA.
BOY TOY was such an amazing romance!
• Funny • Sexy • Sweet • Serious • Perfect •
Run to your nearest amazon for your own Liam! This one is MINE!!!!
