A stand-alone USA Today bestselling comedy from your favorite snort-laughing duo! LiamThe moment Sadie Matthews walks through the daycare center door, I feel my world tilt in her direction. Again. I fell for her when I was fourteen, and I’m still not over her. Problem: she still thinks of me as a teen she used to babysit. But I’ve learned a few things about pleasing a woman in the last fifteen … a woman in the last fifteen years. I can’t wait to show her how good it could be. I need to move quickly before I lose her again. This is more than a game to me, but I still plan to win.
Sadie
I’ve just survived the worst year of my life. As a single mom of twin toddlers, I don’t have time for a man. I barely have time to finish a thought. Who knew that Liam McAllister would grow up to be so devastating? He’s everything my husband was not: tall, built, and willing to have a tea party with my girls.
I can’t possibly get involved with him. He’s too young for me. Too handsome. But he’s so persuasive…

Q & A about Boy Toy
Q: Is this really a stand-alone?
A: It really, really is. No experience necessary. Jump in anywhere.
Q: Will the age difference between Sadie and Liam vast?
A: Not at all! It’s only weird to Sadie because she’s going through some things. Funny things. And Liam’s take is… You’ll see. His inner teenager has a few things to say about the situation and you will not want to miss them.more
Ok, so – you know how when authors review each other, they give these great one-liners for the book?
I did that. I emailed Sarina and Tanya and gave them some witty (if I do say so myself…) quotes.
But I’m not going to post those. Ok. I will. At the end. BUT FIRST —
I’m going to post the ACTUAL EMAIL I SENT THEM, instead.
Here’s what I wrote:
—–
YOU TWO! I don’t laugh out loud at many books but OMG. From Brynn and Ash convos to the ranch dressing/Hidden Valley to OMG LIAM IS SO HOT I am dying here.
AND THEN YOU MADE IT ALL HEARTWARMING AND SH!T!! Dang. I teared up at the baby scene.

The OFFICIAL quote is:
Eby and Bowen unleashed my inner reader-cougar. Didn’t know I had one. Well played, authors. Well played. — Julia Kent, New York Times bestselling author
But now you know what I really told them. <3
Read this book. Seriously.
This book was delicious, warm-hearted, and so funny! It’s the type of book you read with a smile on your face and it’s a sure-fire remedy for bad moods.
Sadie is recently divorced, and after several failed attempts at using at-home nannies for her two-year-old twins, she has finally decided to give a try to day care. As a trained therapist, she knows the girls will benefit from the social interaction of a day care, but the mother in her feels the guilt. Once she gets to the day care, however, her mind goes on a 180 degrees twist when she finds who the nanny to her girls will be.
Enter Liam McAllister, the boy she used to babysit when he was a pimply fourteen-year-old and she was twenty, but who is now a very muscly tall hunky guy of 6’3” inches of dreaminess. She was drooling and her girls were fascinated by this new best friend. The scene where Liam handles the girls’ arrival on their first day settles the score on this book: it’s going to be sweet, and Liam is a sweetheart. It also settles Sadie’s trepidation because he is so sensitive to the girls’ feelings and handles them like a pro.
Liam fell in love with Sadie when he was fourteen, and his feelings haven’t changed. Now that Sadie is single, he acts on his feelings and gets close to her. It helps a lot that the twins adore him. Sadie is very attracted but conflicted: he’s younger than her, gorgeous, and has a bright future ahead of him. He’s also a psychologist and has traveling plans to pursue his investigations on child development.
Sadie lost her husband to the first nanny she contracted. After giving birth, her husband was not physically attracted to her anymore, he found her post-partum figure disgusting and let her know very clearly. Apart from realizing that he’s a jerk, her self-image took a beating and she now feels unattractive, not enough to hold the attention of an Adonis like Liam.
The process as Liam courts Sadie and wins over her love and the girls’ love is endearing. Sometimes I felt that Sadie didn’t value his attentions as she should, but I also understood she was dealing with her insecurities. Liam needed to show her he was steadfast and here for the staying. The girls are adorable, feisty Kate who needs a helmet because she’s so impulsive, and quiet Amy who sucks vigorously on her pacifier and hugs Piggypoo hard whenever she’s stressed.
This story is fantastic; sexy times with the couple, fun times with the twins, nasty times with the douchey ex-husband. Also include Liam’s parents, the never-present parents who now demand their children’s attention to their professional goals. Kate’s first encounter with the elder Mr. McAllister is priceless. So many tender and funny scenes. The level of angst in this book is low but present. There are close besties for Sadie, younger siblings who look up to Liam, and you have a warm-hearted story of love, family and friends. Totally recommend!

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.
This is the 3rd book in the Man Hands series by Sarina and Tanya, and it’s definitely my favourite one! I had a permanent smile on my face as I was reading this one. I must’ve looked like a loon when I was reading on my lunch break at work, with this silly smirk on my face because of the shenanigans in this story.
Both Liam and Sadie are characters that I adored. And also, can we take a minute to appreciate how loveable Kate and Amy are with their respective helmet and Piggypoo? (And how much I want to punch Decker in the face?)
I sped through this book so fast, because it was just so much fun. Whilst Sadie has some series confidence issues, she’s a fun person to get to know once you get down to it. And a hard-working and great mother. Liam is just damned adorable – like – c’mon, who doesn’t want that hot piece of man candy, who is not only so damned good with kids, but also a sexy and perfect partner? I think my ovaries may have exploded a few times during the scenes of him with the girls. *fans self*
Of course Brynn and Ash are back in this book too, and their scenes with Sadie are of course fun too. This whole book for me was just so much fun because of Sadie and her girls, and how Liam is with them, and all the funny and adorable and swoon-worthy moments in between.
I highly recommend this one, fast, fun, sexy, swoony – everything you can want in a nice and easy read!
Note: Can be read as a standalone.
This is a standalone book, but the third book in the Man Hands series. I’ve read a lot of Sarina Bowen books, and her collaboration with Tanya Eby is simply fabulous! This is a delightful read about second chance love mixed with a bit of lost puppy love. Don’t be fooled by me mentioning puppy love, this book is all adult and well worth the read!
I think my favorite part of this plot was the little tidbits brought to us by fourteen year old Liam. He interjects his fourteen year opinions despite the fifteen years that have passed…which reminds us all we’re all a little bit of all our ages. Liam finds Sadie after fifteen years, her having been their family babysitter when he was fourteen and she was nineteen. Teenage fantasies and puppy love collide with adult situations and troubles and meld in a most hilarious fashion.
I was excited to read about Sadie after meeting her in the previous two Man Hand books. As a wife and mother, she’s a character I hope I never have to experience…but can still relate to as a woman who does her best for her kids and needs to be loved as a woman and rediscover herself. She’s fun, and in need of someoen to remind her she’s a beautiful and sexy woman as well as strong and caring mother. Liam is her “calm in the center of toddler-induced mayhem.” He reminds Sadie that she’s not a borken divorcee, she’s an woman on the cusp of a new stage of life, and he’s there to remind her of their younger days and sweep her off her feet. Where can I get a Liam?
Have faith moms everywhere, there’s someone out there to light your fire. Sadie’s is Liam, and while she’s hesitant to their age difference, Liam proves age is just a number and they can set the sheets on fire (even if they have to be quiet to keep toddles sleeping. “This is some serious mommy porm I’m watching. Shirtless guy feeds toddlers before eight a.m.”
This may be my favorite book from the Man Hands series. Sadie is such a relatable character for me, with Liam being such a fantastic person as a whole and the sexy man she needs. I devoured this book in a night and loved the range of emotions the authors evoked the whole way through the book. The chapter titles are hilarious.
I’ve binged myself on almost every book Sarina Bowen has written. I’m going to have to add Tanya Eby to my list of authors to follow and read. The books are all sexy keep me from despairing at my own boring life with the contemporary romances they write. I’m sad the series is over since all three friends have now found their happily ever afters.

This was pretty darn cute.
Sadie and Liam have history. She used to babysit for him when they were younger. The age gap isn’t as big as you might think, but it adds to the scandal of it.
Sadie isn’t having the best of times, since she’s going through a divorce (her husband is a bit of a Dbag, tbh)
Boy Toy is cute. Funny. Down right adorable.
Boy Toy is everything you want in a romantic comedy. First, you have a great storyline. Second, you have amazing characters. Third, it is hot. HOT. And four, it couldn’t be funnier. Boy Toy is the real deal. It doesn’t get any better than this. Seriously.
First of all, Boy Toy can be read as a standalone. You don’t need to have read either of the previous two books to enjoy it. Having said that, I totally recommend reading the other books in the Man Hands series because they are freaking awesome.
I loved Boy Toy. Don’t get me wrong, this book is hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing. But it is so much more. It has so much depth. You feel for Sadie because her issues are relatable to many women. Even if you are not a mother (single or otherwise), you can empathize with her situation. The age difference is not that great, 6 years is not something to frown upon, but it can be daunting for a woman dealing with body-image issues and low self-esteem. And Liam is just the sweetest book boyfriend you’ll ever find. He’s hot, sexy, empathetic, and great with kids. He’s the nanny, but you’ll find soon enough that he’s not a regular one.
Boy Toy is a beautiful and hilarious story about healing, the meaning of family, and love. It is exceptionally well written, steamy and smart. Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby have written one of the best romantic comedies I have ever read. It is really great. Wonderful. It is freaking amazing. If you like to laugh, you should read Boy Toy. You will never regret it.
Too funny. I love the inner monologues. The characters are memorable, the romance hot. I couldn’t put it down and immediately bought another in the series. Really, I read upwards of 200 books a year and this was the most fun read I had all year.
Must confess I’ve loved everything but Sarina Bowen, and this is another winner.
I love every book Sarina writes!!
Laughed my head off! Excellent narration!
This book is the one i couldn’t wait to get too, i don’t usually get excited for the older women younger man kind of books but i couldn’t put this down to the point i read this in one sitting and that hasn’t happened to me in a long time.
I loved this story and of course the girls Amy and Kate stole the show for me i love it when the story has kids and this one was no different at all. I loved this story and it really showed that just because one person can put you down doesn’t mean the next person that comes into your life will love you just the way you are.
Again the thing i loved about this book was the friendship between ash, Brynn and Sadie, they are always there for each other and really there to be your best friends and love you for who you are.
Liam was every woman’s dream i felt well he was definitely my dream man, hot, sexy and the whole package. This story wasn’t a conventional one but the way Liam was with Sadie and the girls made you forget everything.
Of course this story did have its rough times and took a lot to get to where they wanted to be but i just loved Liam and Sadies story and i am so interested to see what Sadies sister is up to in the next book.
This is becoming one of my favourite series/standalone books this year and i just love that we get the previous characters to know how there life is going.
Looking forward to mancuffed now this is a series of books that you need to pick up if you haven’t already it’s funny, loving and book you can get lost in. Big Boy Stars for this book
Loved this one: I laughed so hard my ribs ached!
Boy Toy was sweet, sexy, fun & I loved it!
Sadie is a divorced mother of twins, still adjusting to her new single life. Between work and taking care of two toddlers, she barely has time for herself, let alone to date. But when she runs into someone from her past, he might be just what she needs. She just has to get over the age thing first.
Liam has been harboring a crush on his old babysitter for 15 years, and when she walks into his daycare all those teenage hormones come rushing back. Once he finds out she’s single, he’s on a mission to get the girl he’s fantasized about for half his life.
When I first read the blurb for this book I figured I would be getting a light, flirty romcom. But this book was so much more! Sadie’s struggles as a single mother were written perfectly, and I loved the “second chance” aspect of this book. The characters had amazing chemistry, and Liam was perfect. Seriously, he had me swooning the entire time! Throw in some great supporting characters & a pair of adorable toddlers, and this book was definitely a hit!
I love anything Sarina Bowen writes or co-writes. This was a cute story!
BOY TOY is the third book in the Man Hands series but can be read as a standalone. I actually have not read the first two (shame on me!) but had no problems jumping right in!
Sadie is the single mother of two vivacious and adorable twin girls. On their very first day of daycare, she finds that the hunky caregiver is none other than Liam, a boy she used to babysit. Liam crushed hard on Sadie when he was 14 and when he sees her again fifteen years later, he knows he has to make his move. But Sadie is six years older than Liam. That makes her a cougar and him just a Boy Toy, right?
This is my first read from this duo and I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised by it! The story was entertaining and light with fun-loving characters. Sadie deserved a gold star! I mean, not only was she a single mama to twin toddlers, she was an AWESOME mama and she put up with a douche of an ex-husband. It was a little harder to connect with Liam, especially in the very beginning. Some of the things he said and did seemed a tad bit immature to me but in the end, he caught my heart. On a side note, I floved that he was a caregiver and a great one at that! SWOON!
This one is a pretty drama free story but it’s sunshiny and amusing, a humorous little tale that’ll bring a smile to your face! Told from dual POVs with a sweet ending. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book.
Boy Toy was a fantastic romance with just the right amount of funny and a whole lot of sweet. This is the third book in the Man Hands series and focuses on Sadie.
Sadie starts a bit of a romp let’s say with a man that she used to babysit which gives this book has a little bit of that scandalous element to it. The age gap however isn’t that big and what I loved about this book is the fact that she’s older then him and it just so happens that I myself happen to be older then my hubby as well. So of course immediately I’m all heck yeah Sadie get it girl.
She’s been through a divorce and I’ll be honest her ex seems like a bit of a douche so when she connects with Liam I’m all for it.
And Liam, oh my goodness this man is just a swoon worthy heroine. He’s sweet, and caring and fun not to mention how great he is with Sadie’s girls. Just completely ovary exploding hotness with Liam.
Boy Toy was a fun, exciting and adorable read with a hero that will make you melt and a heroine that will have you saying yasssss girl do your thing.
Can every single mom put in a request for a Liam? Why not right?! It’s what they all deserve! This book was so much more than a romantic comedy-everything about it was just so “feel good” that it really was just simply beautiful.
Sadie works hard being a mother to twin girls (who are absolutely hysterical through the Book) so when she finds herself working and having to send her children to daycare after finding her husband cheating, it’s definitely a game changer. She’s put completely at ease when greeted at the daycare by Liam, someone she herself used to babysit. Liam, who had hid a crush on Sadie, encompasses how each and every man should be to a child, and a woman. I adored everything about his character and enjoyed the part he played in complimenting Sadie and her children.
I would absolutely recommend this book to any romance reader-it’s completely well written and the story itself is so unique that I know everyone will adore it as much as I did. Is a complete stand-alone. _ by Victoria
This was so FUN! The perfect mix of entertaining and sweet. Extremely witty with likable characters. I’m totally crushing on Liam. I loved it!
I absolutely LOVED this hilarious romcom! I’m *still* swooning for Liam! Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby had me laughing out loud so much that I swear I had to stop, wipe the tears from my eyes, and catch my breath a few times! Boy Toy is the 3rd book in the interconnected stand alone Man Hands series, but you don’t have to read any of the other books to enjoy this one (though I HIGHLY recommend that you do since they’re equally hilarious!)
Liam. Sigh. Seriously, he was adorkably amazing. I loved him right from the start and his inner monologue (especially 14 year old Liam) was THE BEST! He was everything you hope a book boyfriend will be and then some. Not only was he kind, loving, intelligent, protective, loyal, and sexy, but he was also amazing with children and could cook! The authors weren’t lying when they said readers would be calling dibs on this hero!
I’ve loved Sadie since I met her in Man Hands and couldn’t wait to read this book. Her story has been the most realistic of the three, and I found her fears and concerns regarding starting a relationship with Liam to be honest and valid. There was a certain element of taboo since she used to babysit for Liam’s family, but it was easily overlooked since the age gap wasn’t too big (6 years) and Liam’s maturity (unless he was channeling 14 year old Liam) made him seem a lot older. Kate and Amy also added some great comic relief and I really enjoyed Kate’s linebacker skills. LOL
If you’re looking for a fun, low on drama, snort because it’s so damn funny rom com, you do not want to miss Boy Toy!
*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*
Everyone wants the bad boy, the a-holes. But not me. I love the good guy. I crave him. The good guy doesn’t get nearly the credit he deserves, and there just aren’t enough of them out there. But if readers stopped and gave the good guy a chance, they would find their future lies with men like Liam McAllister.
Liam and Sadie have an interesting backstory. When Liam was fourteen, Sadie was the family babysitter. And while there are no flashbacks, we are treated to fourteen-year-old Liam’s brain, and he is fabulous. He had me laughing so hard I can’t count the number of spit takes I had. Twenty-nine-year-old Liam was all grown up and just plain HOT. His dirty mouth was a lovely addition to the story. Sadie Mathews is struggling as a single mom. Not as a mother, but with her self-worth. Her ex-husband has her thinking someone like her could never keep the attention of super sexy Liam. Thankfully, her best friends Brynn and Ash are there to coach her through. It was so much fun to spend time with them again. The three of them are hysterical. Sadie’s girls are an added bonus to the story. They are simply adorable.
Boy Toy is a story that covers all the bases. It’s full of uproarious moments, swoon-worthy dialogue, and characters you find yourself rooting for from the very first chapter. This book isn’t going to bring about world peace or cure cancer, but what it will give you is a few hours to lose yourself in a flawlessly written story that will check all of your boxes.
