The book is not only a lifestyle or diet book, it´s more, much more.
I started reading and was hooked from the first page. I was deeply impressed and intrigued and wanted to start immediatedly with this journey. And I did. I started a 24 hour fasting and it went great !! Yes, I´m only 3 days in, but I got such a pep and enegry by doing something right for my body and soul.
Come on the Wlider Way, you won´t regret it. I recommend to read the books in order and wish I could give more than 5 stars.
“Yes, the ‘f’ word”
I started my journey with You Can Do It as a New Year Resolution in 2017. At that time I gradually started weaning myself off sugar. Since that time I’ve lost 40 lbs and I’ve never gone back to eating sugar. I feel great and I’m so grateful that Jasinda Wilder decided to share her story with her readers. I followed her as a romance author, so when her photos started showing up on social media I was shocked by her amazing transformation. It was just the motivation I needed to get myself on the path to a healthier lifestyle.
I’m sure that we all learn in different ways, but I have to confess that I’m the worst about reading facts instead of fiction. If there’s not an HEA (happily ever after) involved, I’m most likely not gonna be reading it. But, like I said earlier, I was motivated by seeing the proof that #TheWilderWay was successful. And, I’m happy to report that the author didn’t bore me with tons of numbers, facts, and scientific data. Nope, she told me a story using her own personal experiences. She made me laugh and gave me helpful hints and shortcuts to make my life easier as I struggled to make positive changes. She told me of her own struggles and gave examples of what not to do, saving me the frustration of making the same mistakes. She opened the door to her life and welcomed me in, offering hope and encouragement to someone who has been losing the battle for years.
Strangely enough, I’m excited about this new phase in the YOU CAN DO IT program. I’m over 50 yrs old and I’ve lost a lot of weight over the years resulting in sagging skin. I honestly didn’t think there was anything that could be done about that or ‘old fat’ that I’ve carried around for years. I’d never even heard of some of the things the author shared in this book and I can’t wait to try them. She laid everything out so clearly that I know what I need to do to get ready and what steps to take to be successful. And if I don’t get it right the first time, and I decide to break my fast and try another day, that’s okay too. I’m confident that I CAN DO IT!

Having been part of the #wilderway since May 2016, I always look forward to a new book by Jasinda and what new and exciting journey she will take me on this time and this book was no different. As someone who has lost and kept off 30lbs for almost 2 years, I am a firm believer in this lifestyle and will gobble up any knowledge or tips that Jasinda would like to impart on me. My favourite part of all the You Can Do It books is the honesty and even what might be TMI that she and her family are willing to share with us on their journey to better health. Looking forward to starting the new 8 week challenge soon and seeing my health improve even more.
