Carrie has done it again. Liam and Arden’s story is amazing. These are two people who come from big families so they have support from them. Liam is at a wedding when some scaffolding falls and hits him as he pushed his sister out of the way. Arden is out for a day with her brothers when she gets sick and has to go to the hospital. These two meet for the first time in a hospital room and Arden cannot believe her luck that a handsome man is flirting with her. Liam learns a secret that puts him in a funk so he doesn’t reach out to Arden as quickly as she had hoped. These two are drawn together and I love seeing their families come together.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Carrie Ann Ryan! Liam Montgomery is a former teenage model turned famous writer. Liam is considered the “pretty boy” of the Boulder branch of the Montgomery clan. An accident at a friend’s wedding lands Liam in the hospital where he meets Arden Brady. Arden is the youngest in the Brady family with very protective, older brothers. Arden may not always look sick, but she has been in and out of hospitals dealing with her disease. Liam and Arden have a instant connection and flirt with each other while sharing a room at the hospital. Liam gets Arden’s phone number but an unexpected revelation rocks his world. A chance meeting with Arden leads Liam and Arden to realizing they have a lot in common. What happens when feelings come into play? Will Liam work through his own issues and be the man Arden needs? Will Arden’s own insecurities about people leaving because of her illness have her pushing Liam away? Will Arden and Liam find their happily ever after? I LOVED Wrapped In Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan. Wrapped In Ink is fantastic story with amazing characters! Wrapped In Ink is full of love, family, and humor. Carrie Ann Ryan is a MUST read author! Wrapped In Ink is a great love story of two people who are struggling with their own issues and find they are stronger and better together. I would highly recommend getting Wrapped In Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan! I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
The Montgomery’s are back! We have traveled to Boulder, Colorado with this group of Montgomerys.
Liam Montgomery is the oldest of this branch he has two brothers and a sister. Liam is a best selling author (I love the comparison to Steve Berry, Carrie is very clever) who loves his family. the book starts out with the Montgomerys at a wedding when an accident lands Liam in the hospital. While waiting to be released Liam meets Arden a beautiful woman who is suffering from a heat rash, etc. or so he thinks. The Emergency room might not be the typical place to pick up a woman he knows he cant leave without getting her number.
In the days following the accident a hurtful secret is revealed that upends everything Liam knew or thought of his whole life. Knowing that his parents have kept this secret for 35 years is the most hurtful.
Arden Brady works in the book world which is awesome because she can work from home. She compiles book compendiums for authors as well as does research and some editing. Arden has Lupus which basically sucks! For the most part she is fine but then a flare up will rear its ugly head and she is sick for days at a time. It was during one of these flare ups she meets one handsome man. Arden basically lives a solitary life, most of her friends have moved on except her three very overprotective brothers.
Liam and Arden are amazing people and so good together. Liam is basically a very sweet, caring and Kind man who cant help but fall in love with the sweet, stubborn Arden.
Omfg this book was really good! It took real life problems and handled them awesomely!
Possible SPOILERS
After protecting his sister from a falling scaffolding Liam Montgomery ends up in hospital where he meets Arden Brody. During their temporary stay they find out that they have a lot in common so they exchange numbers. They met again Arden’s dog Jasper decides to chase a bunny and they go out on a date.
Arden’s dealing with health issues all her life and she hopes that Liam won’t act like everyone else when he finds out what is wrong with her…..
Great story!
Arden has dealt with her issues since childhood.
Liam is throw for a loop when he finds something out after a hospital stay.
These two together are great. Love the Boulder Montgomerys.
Oh my god Carrie Ann Ryan has done such a amazing job with this one. The emotional journey and the turns with Liam and Arden was truly emotional. I love being able to read this one. Liam learns and secret and the journey he takes with Arden opens him up to see what is there. Absolutely a amazing read I’m still in turmoil of the good kind if I could be more than five stars.
I love the Montgomery crew so much! The original MI is the first series I had started to read of Carrie Ann’s and it’s always had a special place with me, so I love that she’s gone on to do stories for all of the cousins!!!
I loved Liam before we even truly knew him in Jagged Ink. He played such a special role for Roxie, and it was VERY swoony. Then when I found he was an author? DONE FOR! I think all of these things made him so, unbelievably perfect for Arden. He’s such a giver, and because Arden is the same way, I think that was a lot of what made him perfect for her. And Arden, how can you not adore her? She lives with this horrific disease, yet she is so strong!
The brothers in this book all have such special roles. I loved how Arden’s brothers completely took care of her, and when Liam came in the picture, they instantly knew their place. Another favorite thing of mine is how Liam is exactly like those brothers. He’s one of 3 brothers with a sister. He knew exactly how Arden needed taken care of, but in so many other ways since he was also her lover. I loved how Arden’s brothers really respected Liam and I think that had a lot to do with it. But of course, talking about family, there was a lot of family drama here. Between overbearing and nosy brothers, and crazy family secrets, there was no shortage of family drama, and I think that definitely added another dynamic to this book.
And her dog, EEEKKKKKKK. Jasper was actually my favorite character in this book (LOL)!!! Even though he isn’t a “support” dog, everything he did for Arden was THE BEST! Then add him and Liam together, total trifecta of amazingness. Jasper really helped both Liam and Arden in so many ways, he really deserved his own section for this post.
Above all, Carrie Ann’s writing is always so amazing! She has the perfect amount of depth and her layers in her books and this one is no exception. There was a roller coaster of emotions and drama and the perfect amount of everything. She has me DYING for more from this family. I cannot wait!
Where to start…. first off, BUY IT!!!!!! it is a beautiful, poignant story about how life can go on together despite a chronic debilitating disease. Thank you Carrie for bringing out how day to day life is with Lupus. This is the first book I’ve read to include Lupus. You hear about it named but never the nitty gritty parts of living with it. It expanded my knowledge of this disease.
Liam is a special kind of guy to not only take Arden’s condition in stride but help her when the bad cycles take her down. She is oh so independent and hates to be pitied or accept help from other than her four very protective brothers. She has to take down her own barrier walls to let him into her life. It brings in other Montgomery family members but isn’t focused on a tattoo artist. Very well written and an absolutely enjoyable book to read! Bring tissues and plan on reading it in one sitting. You will not be able to put it down.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
I absolutely loved this story!!! The characters are fantastic and Carrie Ann Ryan does a fantastic job dealing with Arden’s condition. It’s something that she has to deal with for the rest of her life and some days things are fine and others are bad. I love the way that this was handled and Arden has a great outlook on life in the face of dealing with this. Yes, she has some low points in the book, but that was completely to be expected and understandable. I really enjoyed how Liam and Arden interacted with each other. They pushed when needed but not overly so. They are able to build their relationship to the level it is because they continue to get to know each other at the level that they are comfortable at. They don’t push too fast knowing that they’ll share when the time is right. This story flowed very smoothly and it was a great story to end. I was pulled in from beginning to end by the characters and the story. I thought all topics were dealt with and handled very well. I loved the blending of the action with the romance and the sex. The sex is explicit but it is a part of the story, just like it’s a part of life. I can’t wait to get more of these Boulder Montgomery’s and of Arden’s brothers. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and these characters!
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
When I seen that this author had another delicious series coming I had to dive in. Liam and Arden start us off in this one taking us through their story.
With Arden you will become a little perturbed at people with the attitude some can get. She has some grit that keeps her going. Liam also has his challenges and when the two cross paths you are given how some of them can be dealt with. We do not get let off this will be ripe in playing with our emotions charging us up.
There are also others who try to hard with you at times wanting them to do something else. It is very much like that old saying do not judge a book by its cover with in this case the people because more is going on than at what the face hides. You will get into this world and stay awhile being given another one of her best.
What a heart wrenching story. Arden’s strength and Liam’s emotional turmoil really come through. This author reaches into your heart and pulls the strings. It’s so well written I cried in more than one place. Life often sucked punches us but love prevails. I received an advanced copy of this book and freely leave this honest review.
Received an advance copy from the author.
Great story line and I loved Liam and Arden together. I loved that Carrie Ann Ryan shows how debilitating illnesses that aren’t necessarily visible can be. Can’t wait for the next book!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book
Can we say HELLO Liam Montgomery!!!! Ah Liam, the name brings to mind Liam Neeson, Liam Hemsworth, and now Liam Montgomery. I love Liams hee, hee, hee!!
Now with Wrapped in Ink we are onto another branch of the Montgomery tree. I have to say whoever planned that tree must have been a angel because everyone of them, male and female, are as hot as they are talented.
Liam is a former model turned writer and he’s the Boulder branch’s pretty boy because of it.
Arden Brady has been through hell and sometimes she revisits that most awesome of places when she doesn’t want to, lets face it she never wants to.
Liam and Arden meet in the most unlikely of places…….. a hospital.
What happens next is a story of a man trying to deal with a identity crisis and a woman who doesn’t know how to deal with a man who might not go away like has always happened to her in the past.
Liam thinks that he can use Arden as a distraction but soon discovers he needs her as much as she needs him.
Once again Ryan writes of a couple that could be your next door neighbors. While her characters are talented and beautiful, they are also very down to earth and go through things that we here in the real world deal with. With Liam it’s a secret from his parents past that he has to deal with and with Arden it’s her health. Along with the Boulder Montgomerys we meet Arden’s four over protective, over bearing brothers. They are all alpha males, but they make your heart stop every time they are in a scene.
Like with every Montgomery Book you don’t have to have read the series but it helps if you like to get a whole world view of these characters and their family.
I’m excited to see more of the Montgomery’s and to maybe get another glimpse of the Brady Brothers.
Before I head out i forgot to mention one tiny little thing……………….
THE COVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holy cover models Batman, this cover has become one of my favorite covers that Carrie Ann Ryan has.
He captured Liam perfectly!!
Oh my heart! Wrapped in Ink is amazing! Liam and Arden are amazing. They are meant to be. Their journey is sweet, sexy, and just full of feels. You laugh, you cry, you love! I loved everything, everything about this book and can’t wait for more in this series!!!
The first book in the Montgomery Ink Boulder series is here with Liam’s story. I have loved every minute of every Montgomery book in Denver and Colorado Springs and now we are learning and loving the Boulder side of the family. This is an emotionally gripping story from Liam and his discoveries to Arden and her difficulties and then both of them navigating like together. Carrie Ann Ryan has delivered another winner with Liam and Arden and their siblings. I can’t wait to read about all of the siblings on both sides!
I love getting lost in the world of the Montgomery’s and now we have a whole new bunch of them to fall in love with in this new spin-off series located in Boulder Colorado. Wrapped in Ink is Liam Montgomery’s story and it is emotionally charged so be prepared!
Arden Brady has been dealing with an illness that isn’t visible to the naked eye and it has made her a prisoner in her own life. Autoimmune diseases aren’t easy to deal with so she has lost all of her friends and her last boyfriend, now it’s just her online friends and her brothers but she’s happy in her own little world, or so she thought before she met Liam.
Liam and Arden met in the hospital, it’s a chance meeting but they each felt something so when he asked for her number she gave it with the hopes he would actually use it and not just toss it away.
I never like revealing things in my reviews and try to keep them as spoiler free as possible so I won’t go into detail but know things happen to shake Liam’s world and there were plenty of tears shed while reading this book both for Liam and Arden.
For me Liam and Arden are a special couple and truly were fated to meet, you’ll understand why once you read the book. I absolutely loved them and their story. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention Jasper, Arden’s adorable puppy that has a sweet tooth a mile wide, this little fella made me laugh out loud on more than one occasion and deserves to be acknowledged for it.
If you haven’t read any of Carrie Ann Ryan’s books before this is a perfect time to start, grab your copy today and see for yourself how special Liam and Arden are.
Happy Reading!!!
Oh holy sweet cotton candy goodness! I fluffing love this book! I’m a sweet junkie, but I like my sweetness to have some real meat, uh cake?, to it. That’s exactly what you get from Wrapped in Ink. While Liam and Arden have a love that is insanely sweet they also have depth to them. It’s not all fluffy clouds and rainbows, but it is a whole lot of love.
The romance? Next level swoon. The family? Bringing that heartwarming, great big hug feeling. I could not get enough! There’s humor, there’s a bit of tears (my heart seriously hurt for Arden at times) but seriously the sweetness just steals the show. If you’re looking for a book that’s going to go right into your heart and leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy for days to come, this is that book!
This book gives new meaning to the phrase “In sickness and in health”! This book was a beautiful story about a guy sticking by his girl, throughout everything, even when she tries to push him away. I couldn’t help but love Arden and Liam, because theirs is a love that everyone strives for, one that everyone hopes and dreams will be theirs one day.
Arden is a woman who has everything to make her life perfect, but is betrayed by her own body. Her strength to deal with her illness is absolutely amazing. She takes life as it comes, getting through one day at at time. She thinks she can do it all on her own, until she meets the one man that is determined to be there for her, even when she thinks he shouldn’t be.
Liam has a perfect life. A supportive (if annoying!) family. A job he loves. Until one day, everything he thought he knew about himself and his life changes. One little accident changes his life, and leads to his meeting Arden. What begins as a chance meeting has the ability to turn his life around once again, if he lets it.
This story was very emotional because of Arden’s health issues, as well as Liam’s “life crisis”. The author did an amazing job conveying Arden’s feelings and thoughts about what she was dealing with, as well as how she handled things on a day to day basis. I love how supportive Liam is of Arden’s problems, as well as how amazing both of their families are. This was a wonderful introduction to the Boulder Mongomerys and I’m very much looking forward to the other siblings’ stories!
Wrapped in Ink is the first book in the new Montgomery Ink: Boulder series. This book was an amazing start to the series, it was amazing!! Arden and Liam are perfect for each other. I loved that this book brought attention to “invisible” illnesses. There are so many that suffer from things that can’t been seen and I loved how the author brought attention and portrayed it. I can’t wait to see what’s next in the series!
Wow, this book was amazing. I couldn’t put it down once started. I just loved the story and characters.
I loved Arden and Liam together. They may have met in the weirdest of places, but you could tell they cared about each other.
I highly recommend this book.
