#1 NATIONAL BESTSELLERAt twenty-two, Cheryl Strayed thought she had lost everything. In the wake of her mother’s death, her family scattered and her own marriage was soon destroyed. Four years later, with nothing more to lose, she made the most impulsive decision of her life. With no experience or training, driven only by blind will, she would hike more than a thousand miles of the Pacific Crest … the Pacific Crest Trail from the Mojave Desert through California and Oregon to Washington State—and she would do it alone. Told with suspense and style, sparkling with warmth and humor, Wild powerfully captures the terrors and pleasures of one young woman forging ahead against all odds on a journey that maddened, strengthened, and ultimately healed her.
Oprah’s Book Club 2.0 selection: This special eBook edition of Cheryl Strayed’s national best seller, Wild, features exclusive content, including Oprah’s personal notes highlighted within the text, and a reading group guide.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
A book about her problems and recovery, not a great hiking story.
I thoroughly enjoyed every single page of this book! I grew to care about Cheryl, and I felt like I was rooting for all good things to come to this woman.
Cheryl’s bravery in enduring this grueling journey, for the most part alone, is incomparably inspiring as a life-changing endeavor.
This is a must read. Epic journey of self discovery.
Great story of hope and recovery
I liked the beginning and middle of her book but really was disappointed in the abrupt ending of the book! She did a very nice job of bringing you along with her on this very challenging trek that she undertook! I certainly admire her for undertaking such a tough journey!
Read in book club great discussion book.
Thoroughly enjoyed this story as she made her journey very real.
I wanted to love this book. I loved the idea of this book. When I read it however it was just kind of flat. It was slow and there were too many self centered off topic stories that didn’t really fit well.
I like personal stories about someone who ventures out into the unknown.
i did not care for this book
fabulous writer! loved every page of this wonderfully written book
I could hardly put this book down. Once the hooks are in, you’re in for a true journey.
Laughed and cried my way through this one. Those are the best kind.
i’ve read this three times and am still dazzled by both her story and her ability to tell the story.
