The very first chapter gives the reader/listener an idea of what kind of deeply dark and disturbing tale this is going to be. In fact, it almost makes you want to not even read the book. I would suggest that you seriously read the blurb before giving this one a go.
But, if you are a fan of “Criminal Minds” type shows and books, this is a …
A Very good physcothrillet. Subject matter is disturbing.
One of those books you Don’t want to end
I really felt bad for the Mailer family and other victims. I feel psychological fear jerker. Bravado on the ending.
Definitely not for everyone (though everyone SHOULD read this), this is a look into the dark and twisted mind(s) of those in positions of authority that commit the worst acts of child abuse and pedophilia. Though this particular case is fiction, this is happening around the globe every minute of every day and EVERYONE should be aware of the …
Showed us the dark underbelly of pedophilia. Downright terrifying.
A good read
Pretty suspenseful although predictable. Too many characters.
Wow! This was deeply disturbing as to how someone that a person should be able to trust with their children can be so evil. A child psychiatrist conveniences parents that he is so good with children when he is nothing but a pedophile and evil. You get go mad you just have to read on. So realistic, the book is sometimes difficult to read.
I only wish he end had been finished off neatly, like mention about the child’s condition after he was rescued at the end of the book, did the mother recover and did the parents reconcile?
This book is a waste of space and the time it took to read! I do not recommend it!
Not my cup of tea, but if you’re interested in evil, perverted psychos, you’ll love it!
As a parent, this book shook me and haunted my waking moments. A true monster lies within these pages.
Good
touches on the dark evil that is around us…. makes you question everyone…
Too grim for my tastes but well written
This book may be of great interest to many and if the subject is of interest read on. It only took about 5% of it to turn me off. I could not imagine what could follow that would stir my interest and desire to learn the outcome of such sick practices by a doctor no less.
Could not get into story
Did not finish, did not like at all.
