I love a good alpha with a heart of gold. Just what I needed.
Wherever it leads… Such a simple title for a book that was much deeper than I had anticipated.
To begin, I fell in love with many aspects of this book. Let’s start with Brynne’s relationship with her best friend, Presley: everyone should have a friend who supports you through your difficult times, pushes you to be the best person you can, and challenges you like no other. Brynne: she possesses such a capacity to love and demonstrates a strength and positiveness that one would find difficult in her situation. Yet she felt so relatable and likeable. Fenton: OMG, love him. I honestly didn’t think Adriana would be able to write a man better than Crew, but I think she did. Not only was he yummy (cashmere voice- I mean, come on!), but the closeness that he had with his parents really allowed me to understand him. Lastly, the love that flows right from the beginning between Brynne and Fent: you couldn’t help but root for them to succeed. The extent that Fenton went through to demonstrate that he loved Brynne was unlike anything expected.
I highly recommend this book- a top read so far in 2016, and a reread for sure!
And just so you know, I think I might lose my phone with the bananas.
A stand-alone billionaire romance from Adriana Locke!
This is not your average “boy meets girl, falls in love” book. This is the story of Fenton in an unusual place at the right time and the horror stories that could have been if it hadn’t been Fenton. Everyone wants a friendship like Brynne and Presley, where you can say the wrong things and it be right between friends. Kudos to Author Adriana Locke for creativity in how Fenton and Brynne met and for how fitting the title is! Fenton is your alpha male but he doesn’t flaunt it. Brynne’s family situation has her feeling the weight of the world on her shoulders as she still functions thru her daily routine. How can two people from such different worlds have so much in common but it also be the common factor that may destroy them? This story is in-depth with a family situation that could have been written from true events. It seemed as though the news was playing out in Brynne’s family as they wait for any information on the whereabouts of Brady. Who is telling the truth, who is telling lies, who has secrets that could destroy them? Who do you turn to for help and who can you trust? This book has more to the story than just WOW sexual chemistry, and there is a lot of that! I so wanted to hug Brynne and be there to wipe her many tears, but I also wanted to shove her out of the way and be held in the arms of Fenton! There needs to be more Fenton’s in this world!!! After reading Sacrifice by Adriana Locke, I wondered how she could write a more gripping novel. I just read it!
Loved it!!!! Adriana has written another wonderful story. Fenton is a man who is not looking for love, and Brynne is woman whose life has been turned upside down. Brynne is getting over a break up from a man she thought she loved until she finds him with someone else and is also dealing with the disappearance of her brother who was kidnapped. Fenton is a man who has many business interests and no time for a relationship. Who knew bananas could change your life.
What starts out as a love story turns into so much more. Adriana’s storytelling just gets better and better with each book she writes. This is a definite one click. I can’t wait to see what story she writes next.
Another masterpiece by Adriana Locke!!!!
Brynne Calloway has had a string of bad luck and it continues when she loses her phone. Fenton Abbott is incredibly sexy with the body of an Adonis and a cashmere voice. The one time he decides to do his own grocery shopping, he finds a phone in the bananas. The girl in the background photo catches his eyes immediately. When Brynne and meet for the first time, it’s instant attraction and chemistry. Her best friend, Presley, tells her this is just what she needs, a rebound to get back in the game. Of course, what is supposed to be a simple rebound, ends up being so much more, and in ways that Brynne doesn’t expect.
I absolutely loved this book. The characters are well developed and you are immersed in the story from the first page. I found it really hard to put this book down. Brynne doesn’t let her past weaken her. She is still strong, but everyone has a breaking point. Fenton makes her feel so much more alive than she has in forever. Their chemistry is off the charts and their love scenes are HOT!!! I love Adriana Locke’s books and can’t wait for more.
Adriana wrote an amazing story in Wherever it Leads! Definitely my new favorite from her. Lets start with Brynne and Presley, I loved their relationship and Presley is the best kind of best friend! She hilarious, loving, and ready to stab someone with a stiletto if they wrong her Brynne.
This story starts with a chance encounter, and pulls you through an amazing story of finding your other half even when you didn’t think you believed in love. Brynne is challenging and funny to Fentons seriousness and alpha-male tendencies and my heart broke for these two when the problems surrounding them came crashing down. This book is fun, sexy, and keeps you entertained from beginning to end!
5 Fabulous Stars
I loved this book so much. I don’t know that I have enough adverbs to describe my love for this book. I thought I knew what I was getting when I received this book in my kindle, but not only did it have what I was expecting….a rich, suave, alpha male with the cashmere voice, but a twist that I totally WASN’T expecting. It in fact made me cry a little bit!
This book revolves around Fenton Abbott and Brynne Calloway who meet by chance when Brynne loses her phone and Fenton is the lucky finder of said phone. Although, who really is the luckier of the two is up for debate. There is an immediate connection between Fent and Brynne so much so that it sizzled off the pages of my kindle.
Brynne has gone through a bad breakup and Fenton doesn’t believe in love or committed relationships. They go out on a date and while it seemed like a “sure thing,” Fenton is called away for a work emergency that cuts the date short. This work emergency comes into play again in the book… hence the unexpected twist. However, I’ve digressed….Fent convinces Brynne to go away with him and Brynne looks at it as a rebound weekend with a little help from her bestie, Presley.
I don’t think either of them were expecting how great they are together. Ms. Locke did a phenomenal job of writing their interactions. Brynne is a smart and beautiful woman that likes to push Fenton’s buttons because the “punishment” is so worth it!! Fenton on the other hand, loves how Brynne stands up to him and doesn’t take any of his gruff. And let’s talk about how Fenton is always focused on Brynne getting her pleasure first when they have sex. Talk about fogging up my glasses…WOWZA!!!!
As the book progresses, I loved watching these two fall further and further in love with each other even though neither wanted to admit it. However, things are not all roses and sunshine as Brynne’s brother is missing from a humanitarian mission which is causing unbearable stress for Brynne and her family. There’s also her ex, Grant who is acting a little “off” since her brother’s disappearance and in my opinion is hiding something….This is the part when I cried. Reading how broken Brynne was over this situation made me feel the same kind of anger and anxiety which is a testament to Ms. Locke’s writing.
What was Fenton’s work emergency that cuts their date short? Will Fent and Brynne continue to see each other after their trip? Will Brynne’s brother make it home safely? Can Brynne convince Fenton that love truly does exist?
This is a book that is a great read because the story is so well written it kept me enthralled with every page turn. Do yourself a favor, pick up this book and you too can get #BentWithFent
Another great story from the author. This book has a much different feel to it than the others, as it has a bit more suspense than I’m used to from the author. Fenton & Brynne were incredible together – loved the chemistry they had from the beginning.
Wherever It Leads by Adriana Locke….Oh my I felt like being on a roller coaster with all the ups and downs, twists and turns. I fell in love with the characters Brynne aka (Rudo) and Fenton they were so perfect together, the bantering had me laughing and intimate moments were beautiful. Fenton is my new book boyfriend, so hot, rich and perfect, so if you are looking look no further. This is my first book by Adriana and I can’t wait to read more. I am hoping we will get a story for Presley and Brady.
4.5 stars for WIL …you must get #bentwithFent
Adriana has a habit of making male leads .. I fall for .. Fenton is no exception . His voice , swagger and sexual prowess are HOT ! This unique story line has more than a few twists and turns . Fenton and Brynne meet by chance but as the story moves on you see in the end it was fate or was it all set up ? You need to put this on the top of your TBR to find out !
This was my first Adriana Locke story. It will not be my last. The story was written very well.
The story itself was interesting and has some fun twists to it! I would definitely classify this as rom suspense with some angst thrown in here and there.
I also really like how they were described as fated to meet.
Fenton went from a stand-offish, lonely, sad business man to a warm, open, caring soul who showed the world his heart.
Lia Langola narrates this book solo as it’s about 98 percent from the female perspective with just a few glimpses from the male perspective. She did a great job.
Holy hotness! This book is definitely the hidden gem of Adriana Locke’s backlist. There’s romance, suspense and so much heat! It starts with Brynne and Fenton’s meet cute with bananas – not a euphemism – a dinner date and an offer that she tries desperately to refuse. The push and pull between these two is nothing short of scorching with the perfect amount of sassy banter.
‘There’s something entirely sexy about feeling him this close that I close my eyes and anticipate the moment when he starts something he’s going to have to finish.’
Fenton may be an Adonis but he’s also generous and attentive, both in and out of the bedroom. His possessiveness is no match for the fire that sparks inside Brynne. She. Is. Fierce.
It’s obvious that the things tethering them together are the things that can tear them apart. Hearts and lives are on the line and one secret could destroy everything.
Brynne story was heartbreaking yet through it all she was determined to stay strong even if her whole world was crashing down around her. She discovers her longtime boyfriend cheating on her then her brother gets kidnapped while on a humanitarian mission in Africa. The only way she is surviving is strength, fierceness, sheer determination to get her brother back home and her best friend Presley. Then on top of everything else she loses her phone that has everything she holds dear on it which just about pushes her over the edge.
Fenton comes across a phone while shopping and is intrigued when he sees a photo on the phone. When he meets the owner of the phone there is a pull between them. She agrees to go to dinner with him only after her best friend convinces her she needs to get over her ex-boyfriend. Their story wasn’t all happy-go-lucky there was strife, anger, frustration, hurt, heartbreak, betrayal, forgiveness to go along with passion, humor, happiness and love. At times I wanted to shake Fenton and ask him WTH and other times I wanted to hug him. Their back and forth banter was hilarious and I couldn’t get enough. She was a spitfire, strong, determined beautiful woman who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. Her friend Presley is a fantastic secondary character and deserves a book. I loved their relationship and the ending left us needing a book about her and Brynne’s brother Brady. There were so many great quotes from the book that I could fill up pages but I’ll let you experience them without me spoiling them even though I want to sooooo bad.

Love, love loved Fenton and Brynne!
Five
This isn’t my first Adriana Locke book. I normally LOVE her books. This one I didn’t. Probably this is one of those times that the book “just wasn’t for me.” That happens sometimes. I don’t like to DNF a book, so I hung in there and kept reading, slowly and between other books. The book just didn’t grab me immediately, making it hard for me to grab onto something that would draw my attention and keep me reading. It was well-written, the characters were good, the storyline started well. Then it kind of veered off in different directions. Okay, that was fine, but for me, it tended to drag on and on and on. I felt it could have moved along a bit faster, but like I said, that’s probably just me, judging by the fantastic reviews I’ve seen for this book. Ultimately, I finished it. The book had lots of “emotional” times and lots of funny times too. I can’t rave about it. For me it was just okay. Read the blurb and give it a go if it sounds like your kind of book.
I’m kind of mad that it took me so long to read Wherever It Leads. Fenton Abbot is H.O.T….HOT!!!! While he could swoon the pants off me, he could anger me in the next breath. I absolutely loved Brynne! She is the kind of girl I want to be friends with. Their chemistry was fire!
Honestly, I don’t know what to write for fear of giving something away. So for that reason I will leave you with this, read this book!
An emotional must read, these two will resonate within my soul long after the final page has turned.
Really nice story of unexpected love complicated by outside circumstances.
Well edited.
Brynne loses her phone. Fenton finds it. And thus begins their journey together. Fenton convinces Brynne to go to Vegas with him on a business/pleasure trip. They really begin to like each other, but they both have huge drama going on in their individual lives. As they head back to real life, will their new found relationship survive? Will their dramas overlap?
Brynne had been recently hurt, and at first she viewed Fenton as a rebound. She went into their trip as a strictly fun time with a new friend. But the heart had other ideas. For his part, Fenton wasn’t really sure that love was in the cards for him. As a wealthy man, he always wondered if the people in his life liked him for himself or his money. He wasn’t prepared for the emotions that Brynne stirred up in him. Fortunately, these two agreed to just go wherever the relationship led. Great side characters in Brynne’s friend Presley, her missing brother Brady (although his appearance was minimal), and not so great ex Grant.
I will say there was a scene where Brynne said that Presley filled her glass beyond acceptable levels and I found myself wondering if there were such a thing. Ha. Anyway, a really great read. Enjoy.
I love all of Adriana Locke’s books so much, this did not disappoint.
Brynne loses her phone and Fenton finds and calls her, he plays a bit of a game not wanting to give it back but to get to know her. He has secrets and she is dealing with her brother being kidnapped. This was suspenseful and so so good. Great read
A sweet impossible romance from an author I don’t think I have read before!
