I loved a boy.Gavin Lodge. He was sweet, gentle, kind and he made me feel alive. Letting him go was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my life. A hundred times I wished I had done things differently.A thousand times I wished I had gone with him. A million times I wished he had chosen me.I didn’t. Neither did he. Now he’s back. No longer a boy, but a man. I can’t love him again. It almost … back.
No longer a boy, but a man.
I can’t love him again.
It almost destroyed me once and I won’t let that happen again.
That should be the end of it.
And maybe it would have been.
If someone wasn’t trying to kill me…

The latest release from Jordan Marie!
“Whatever else has gone on through the years, when Luna and I are together, it’s like we connect and feel what one another are experiencing. It was like that thirteen years ago, and it’s still like that today.”
I was there when Gavin and Luna fell in love as teenagers and I fell right along with them. He wouldn’t stay. She refused to go. He left and broke all of our hearts. They both had good reasons for their choices, but everyone suffered the consequences of those decisions.
I have to say, I’m a romantic suspense junkie, and I’m really digging the direction Jordan Marie is going with her Stone Lake series. I enjoy straining my brain and trying to figure things out. Action and suspense and surprises are addictive and when you throw a #HotCop or two into the mix it’s a Win/win for us readers, right?
The only thing I can talk about without risking spoilers is the way the story made me feel. I went into this 2nd installment already attached to Gavin and Luna. My heart was broken for both of them and I was so anxious for an opportunity for them to find each other again. But there was so much pain and broken promises between them that I was anticipating and dreading their first meeting, worried that their hurt feelings would cause them to say things that couldn’t be unsaid.
At the same time, I was excited about the case that brought Gavin back to Stone Lake. I’m a self-proclaimed profiler and I was evaluating every single character and making my unprofessional assessment regarding their guilt or innocence. I had my suspicions and it was so fun to wait to either be surprised or to pat myself on the back.
I can’t wait for everyone else to grab their copy of When You Were Mine. I know we can’t give away any details, but I’ll know that you know, and you’ll know that I know and we can wink at each other, right?
This is the second book, the first book, Letting You Go, must be read before reading When You Were Mine. When You Were Mine picks up thirteen years after Gavin left Luna and Stone Lake behind. Having moved on with help from Agent Dern, Gavin is now the FBI agent he had dreamed of becoming. When a case takes him back to Stone Lake, Gavin has no desire to go back there. Back to the town that let him down in his youth, back to Luna who chose that town over him. Going back is hard but having to work with Luna proves harder. When the case that brought Gavin back takes a turn for the worse and is showing the same signs of the same killer from long ago, the two end up working closer than they had hoped. What happens when those feelings prove that what they had isn’t dead? Is there a way to get over the past hurts and make something work? Can they survive the serial killer that has targeted Gavin and all that he loves?
I loved everything about this story. Mystery, suspense, gruesome killings, drama, hot naughty bits; this was an amazing read that had me hooked! I give this 5 stars.
WOW!! I have been waiting for this book for what feels like FOR-EV-ER, but I can promise it was well worth the wait! This may be the greatest book two ever! Just WOW! I was so happy to see Gavin and Luna interacting again. JUST AMAZING! I hate spoilers, but make sure you read Letting You Go before you read this one. You need it to completely understand this book. FIVE HUGE STARS!!
I am not going to lie….I was completely gutted when I read the first book in the Stone Lake series. I couldn’t believe I was left hanging like that…how could I possibly survive lol. I survived and better yet my heart is healed. What a wonderful, satisfying conclusion to Gavin and Luna’s story. Their story picks up years later when Gavin and Luna meet again. Gavin is is back searching for a killer….to a town he swore he would never return to. When he encounters Luna who is now the mayor….Gavin is in for the shock of his life and it knocks him off his axis. Their love for each other never completely faded away. Can they both get past the lies, betrayal, and deceit and grab their second chance at love before its too late. OMG I was hooked from beginning to end….I thoroughly enjoyed their story….it was so worth the wait. I highly recommend this book to all and I can’t wait for the next book she releases next….well done!!!!
4.5 Stars of Awesome!
Now this book had a LOT thrown into it and a lot of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. We met Luna and Gavin in LETTING YOU GO and learned their beginnings as teens. WHEN YOU WERE MINE picks up after thirteen years from their ending … and let me tell you … WOW! There is so much going on that is kind of hard to get into it without giving the story away.
There are numerous betrayals that happen to each character and redemption as well. However, some of the redemption didn’t need to happen as things happened based on other people to cause the situations that happened. But the bounds of trust are totally put to the test with this book.
Overall, I liked this book. The characters were definitely developed from the original book, although I thought Luna was a little bit of a wench at times and I really didn’t like that, but I can totally see where she came from the further I read in the story and had to revise my opinion. But at the same time Gavin was a bit of a butt, so I couldn’t really feel sympathy for him either.
The writer did an awesome job deepening the emotions as the story progressed and she really threw a couple wrenches into the overall plot. There was definitely a lot that had to be overcome by ALL of the characters. But it ended with a HEA that was awesome and helped to show what was coming later down the pike for these characters and this series. I am totally interested to see what comes next!
So, good book with a great and engaging storyline and I really look forward to reading what comes next with this series. I think readers will really enjoy this one! Happy reading!
Absolutely loved it!! It has suspense, mystery, romance. It has all THE FEELS! It completely captured my heart from the very beginning to end with their journey of twists and turns. You will fall more in love with this couple. It continues to have the connection, banter and chemistry is as sexy as ever. I enjoyed reading their journey as they overcome their obstacles for that happy ending. It definitely highly recommended and one click worthy.
I wasn’t sure where Jordan Marie was going with this story. She completely gutted my heart with LYG! Gavin and Luna were so young and vulnerable, so easily led astray.
The second book had me almost afraid to find out any answers. Chapter 1 began clawing its way into my soul immediately. What if Gavin and Luna could never be more than enemies? Not only has time marched on but apparently so has Luna. No, just NO! I fell in love with Gavin immediately. His struggles, his strength, his love for Luna…He just became my Hero. But his past never stayed behind and enemies, demons, and friends conspired to bring him back home, back to Luna. But once again, secrets, or a version thereof seem to push and pull at these two.
Then Jordan Marie went all psycho on me, literally and figuratively. She added in such a dark and aggressive element no one saw coming. Friend vs. Foe, Enemy vs. Lover, all in a disguise of some sort.
All questions from Book 1 are answered but not without a rollercoaster ride with corkscrew turns. Gavin and Luna come out fighting, right to the very end. This duet slays every emotion!
Jordan Marie has done it again! I was left completely broken and in a book funk, I had trouble getting into another book. It’s been days since I finished and not sure what to write still!
I loved Gavin and Luna! I’v been waiting not so patiently for the conclusion of Gavin and Luna’s story and I wasn’t disappointed at all!! I can see myself revisiting this story often! I can’t wait for more by this author!!
Gah this woman blows me away each and every time she writes and this is no exception. Gavin and Luna I swear what this pair has endured has traumatizes me and you’re hoping and praying that they get a chance for redemption. If there was ever a couple made for each other this is it. It’s hard to put into words what this lady writing has done to me. I’m spoiled and I want some grit along with talented storytelling to pull me in. I so proud to know that what I expected from this book was totally turned on its head. Jordan has surprised me more that she knows. This book is so good the action and suspense keeps you on your toes because you think you know and then bam no idea. I loved it and so will you when you PICK THIS UP!!!
Jordan Marie did a wonderful job on this story. When You Were Mine was a strong continue to Luna and Gavin’s story. The story was very well written with a strong plot. This story will take you on an emotional rollercoaster, the story was packed with so many emotions. Gavin and Luna have been through so much, but no matter what these have been through and all those bottled feeling, they are still drawn to each other. That strong connection and chemistry is still there, stronger than ever. Luna and Gavin journey hasn’t been easy, there will secrets that will come out, but these two were perfect together.
This was a great story, I’d recommend reading it.
Thank you, Jordan Marie. Wonderful work 🙂
5 Stars!
I’m not going to lie but I was a bit nervous when I started reading this. I really am not a big fan of huge separations of them not together between the H and h but Jordan Marie did a great job with it. I absolutely love Gavin and Luna and their love story. This book had everything I needed plus more, especially how we were kept guessing who was behind all the murders. Another great book from Jordan Marie and I can’t wait to read the next one.
Get ready to be sucked in….the conclusion to Gavin and Luna’s story is here and oh boy what a ride it is. There’s heartbreak, passion and suspense. We get answers to I’m understandings and watch a love that blossomed years ago rebloom.
Gavin and Luna are both great characters and I love how where before Luna was timid, all grown up she is fierce. She can take care of her own and doesn’t mind letting you know either. I really enjoyed this great story and can’t wait for Bens story next.

Absolutely loved this book! Perfect conclusion to this awesome duet!!!!! Fabulous!!
“I stare into her eyes. The hunger for her that gnaws at me is reflected in her eyes. It would take a half of a second to kiss her like she deserves to be kissed.”
Gavin and Luna’s story are unlike many this Author has written, and that’s why I loved this book so hard. Part second chance romance, and part murder mystery, it kept me on my toes and had my heart skipping beats all over the place!! Picking up where you were dropped on your head in Book 1, 13 years later, I was so incredibly anxious to see if the love that exuded from the pages could be rekindled. The pain, the anguish, the missed chances, and the interference from so many angles made it seem completely impossible. I couldn’t put it down until every question was answered, my kindle burned with the hotness of this couple, and raced to the end to find out the mastermind behind all the carnage, and I never saw it coming!! I thoroughly enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next book!!

Thirteen years later, we find our way back at Stone Lake where Gavin and Luna meet again. It’s a bumpy road for the two ex high school sweethearts, but when they finally get their act together, things escalate quickly.
There are many twists and turns in the second part of this duet. Some hot, some cold, some pain, and some blind-sided moments. But it wouldn’t be a Jordan Marie book if we didn’t have all this goodness wrapped into one amazing story. Five stars from this girl.
Luna and Gavin have completely stolen my heart!! This story takes them into the future after that terrible cliffhanger lol. Gavin is just as swoony as he was as a teenager, but manlier. Luna is a fantastically strong heroine, even stronger than the first book. The storyline is mysterious and a bit angsty. Just when you think you’re got it all, surprises thrown in make for a fantastic ending to this duet.
Just perfectly amazing! It can be hard to describe a book, when there are things you don’t want to give away. Gavin and Luna are such a deeply connected, down to our core, couple, I just love their story. They started in Letting You Go, young and building the intensity they share. So full of emotion. The continuation of their story grabbed my heart, twisted it up a bit and had me flipping pages to devour every second I could. There are twists and turns that will keep you on your toes, strong characters, love, hate and everything in between. This series is a must. Gavin and Luna are a must.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I really like to know how Jordan comes up with some of these twisted story lines? I was just blown away at all that was going on. Know you have to read Letting You Go first to understand what is going on.
My heart goes out to Gavin and Luna. Their road was not a pretty one and so much was trying to keep them apart. I just got to say you really need to read this series you would not regret it. Jordan did a amazing job. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
