Russ and Anne Mathews live in a rural suburb in Tennessee. Regular people, with regular jobs, living a normal life – except for one thing. They are what many people call “preppers”. They have stocked up on supplies to survive any kind of event they can think of that may occur to disrupt life as they know it. When that event comes, they start preparing for the new way of life they will face. Along … face. Along with their teenage son, and their next door neighbors and best friends, they plan their exit from a neighborhood too close to the city to a farm in the country. They just have to get there.
Their faith in their own capabilities and in humankind will be challenged, as they fight to protect and keep their supplies and, quite possibly, their lives.

I love post world books. This written from a womans pount of view. Loved how the prople grouped together and shared chores to survive. Made me realize i am not ready for my world to end as i know it.
Good reading for preppers

In series
It was a good read. Not a good instruction manual lol.
I really loved it and couldn’t put it down. Very thought provoking.
Good EMP story about some clueless people who have to learn fast.
This is the first in a dystopian series with an interesting number of twists. It shows the viewpoints of “preppies” — the people who make preparations for end of the world as we know it conditions. The protagonists immediately know what caused a complete loss in electric power in anything that was plugged in or used chips. Now, they have to execute their plans—and it isn’t easy.
From my perspective, the best thing about these books is you can learn a great deal about survival.
This book Is informative about how to cope with world crisis situations
Makes me think I should be a prepper.
I liked this book for the character development and the action.
This was a very good read: it kept me wanting to read more
Entertaining read of life after an EMP pulse.
What would you do if the power went out…for an undetermined length of time?
I’ve enjoyed reading this book. You want to find out what happens next!
This is a solid addition to prep fiction. Lots of good ideas in the narrative.

Easy read, lots of action, nerve racking, makes you really think about what
