Russ and Anne Mathews live in a rural suburb in Tennessee. Regular people, with regular jobs, living a normal life – except for one thing. They are what many people call “preppers”. They have stocked up on supplies to survive any kind of event they can think of that may occur to disrupt life as they know it. When that event comes, they start preparing for the new way of life they will face. Along … face. Along with their teenage son, and their next door neighbors and best friends, they plan their exit from a neighborhood too close to the city to a farm in the country. They just have to get there.
Their faith in their own capabilities and in humankind will be challenged, as they fight to protect and keep their supplies and, quite possibly, their lives.

The post apocalypse from a woman’s perspective. I found this very interesting getting a female prepper POV and am interested in reading the next installment
Be ready to get the sequels – you will want to know what comes next.
I really liked the narrator’s point of view and her humor.
Not bad but it tended to plod along.
Shows what the world (US) would be like if suddenly there was no electricity, and everything using electronic chips was destroyed.
A look at what happens to a group of preppers after an EMP pulse takes out the electronics in the U.S. Enjoyable read
I loved this series. I couldn’t put it down, and read all three in two days. I had a long weekend and spent it lost in a world without power.
Liked the writing, good story, hope it doesn’t happen.
It was a bit corny, but it gave out some great information and insight on prepper ideas and thought.
I enjoyed reading, and read all 3.
I enjoy reading SHTF books and this is a good one can’t wait to read more by this author
Realisti.
Thought provoking as to a possability happing in the future.
Interesting story about what can happen when all electronics are wiped out.
Quick easy read. Might be a good eye opener for anyone who thinks that nothing can happen where they live or that the government will be able to take care of anything that might happen.
Good. Well written.
Enjoyed it. Very plausible story well written. Read all thre books in series.
I love end of the world as we know it books. This was interesting as it was written from a women’s point of view. I really enjoyed it.
Realistic fiction about what could happen if the electric grid totally goes down. Informative, but not preachy. Unique female perspective on many aspects of the situation.
Never A Dul Moment!
This story so far is a good read. Realistic without going overboard. Kept me wondering what is going to happen next.
