Time changes people…and every once in a while it can heal a broken heart. When Abigail’s older brother, Zach, told her that she didn’t belong in the family, she believed him. As soon as she graduated from high school, she left Three Creeks, Montana and never looked back. Twenty years later, against her better judgment, Abigail is coming home. Abigail’s family is set on proving that she belongs … is set on proving that she belongs in Three Creeks with them. Their childhood best friend, Kent Parker is willing to help right the wrongs and give Abigail a proper welcome.
When Abigail returns home, Kent has zero interest in a serious relationship. Who cares that every time he is around Abigail he has the urge to punch anyone in the face that looks at her?
Abigail is okay with having the small town hunk as a pal for her mini-adventures. She’s not so thrilled that he chases away any guy that takes an interest in her.
Will Abigail forgive her family or hold on to the grudges that kept her away? Can Abigail’s friendship heal Kent’s bitter heart? Will Kent and Abigail be a cautionary tale? Or are they destined to be Three Creeks next happily ever after?
Read the story and fall in love with the friends and family of Three Creeks, Montana.

This is the 2nd book I’ve read written by Merri Maywether; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Abigail comes home after her father’s death, her first visit in a while. She’s been hurt – careless remarks from her brother, Zach, made her feel out of place in her family. Her ex-husband bugged out when she had a health crisis and things got complicated. But she gives home another chance. Kent, her brother’s best friend, is charged with making sure that she wants to stay at home. Kent’s ex-wife broke his heart, and he’s sworn off women, but finds himself falling for Abigail. Zach’s attitude does nothing to make her want to stay, and she plots her escape. This is my first book from this author, and it’s a terrific story. There is a wonderful and diverse group of friends in this town. Abigail learns forgiveness – Zach learns to watch his mouth – Kent learns that he wants more than friendship.

A Three Creeks, Montana Novel that is well written and kept me turning pages. Twenty years ago Abigail left Three Creeks, Montana because of something her brother said, now she is back. You know that old rhyme that says sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me? Well, in Welcome Home, we find out that words go deeper than any scar from sticks and stone.
Abigail’s brother, Zach, causes her to leave home and never look back, that is until her father’s death has her coming back to help settle things. When she left, she began a whole new life with new friends. She married and later divorced. Her new world certainly did not include her childhood hometown, nor the folks back there. After all, she left thinking she wasn’t welcome.
But now, the plot thickens, she has to go back. However, her plans are to fly the coop and head back to her ‘real home’ as soon as possible. But that’s a problem. She needs to stay. Zack needs her to stay …. but why? Why is is so important that she stay? You know, the thing about secrets is that when they are revealed, life changes. People need to be forgiven but they need to know that first…. they need to fess up. As they say, the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. It’s time to face truths, seek forgiveness and earn trust…. its time for redemption.
OBERSERVATIONS:
Four stars since I needed a little more depth, more of the characters having to take a good, long, hard look in the mirror.

Abigail comes home after years to visit her hometown and resolve old feelings, and finds herself falling in love with Kent. Will she have a reason to stay this time?
This is a great storyline and I am looking forward to reading the rest in this series. Abigail and Kent are reunited when she moves back to town, however neither realize the impact that their friendship will have.

Complex characters make for good reading. Small towns are great settings for an interesting family dynamic story. Interesting characters and entertaining story.

This is a charming love story that touches on redemption and healing. It’s a well written book with realistic characters that deal with real-life problems. The characters had such great personality and depth. There’s so much healing and forgiveness that is portrayed between the different relationships – it is a story that really pulls at your heartstrings. This is a new to me author and I really enjoyed the style of writing. Not a lot of fluff, just real and believable characters and plot. Great book!

A story line that pulls you in and holds you until you read the last word. Great characters you’ll fall in love with and the story line flows smoothly. It’s a book you’ll have a hard time putting it down once you start reading. With that said, grab your copy, a cup of coffee and curl up in your favorite reading spot and enjoy this wonderful story. Also you may want to ask your husband to take care of the kids and the housework for a day so you can enjoy the story uninterrupted.

I have enjoyed reading Welcome Home by Merri Waywether. Its been twenty years since Abigail has been back home in Three Creeks, Montana. She left because her older brother told her she didn’t belong with the family. But now she is back because her family want to prove to her that her brother was wrong and she is part of the family. Can she forgive her family and heal her heart to become part of the family she should of always been a part of?

Abigail comes home to her small town in Montana to begin a new life, which includes forgiving and strengthening her relationship with her brother and sister. Not much has changed because minding other peoples” business is still a way of life there, which will make you smile. The gossip can make the road to love rocky, but so sweet it is heart-touching.
I loved this book and plan to read more by this author.

Abigail left home when her brother, Zach, told her she didn’t belong. Scarred deeply by his careless and cruel words, she wanted nothing to do with them and led her own life with new friends.
When Abigail comes home again after many years, things haven’t changed much. But Zach needs her to stay for his own reasons. And Kent Parker has no interest in a serious relationship, but he is willing to help Zach repair the damage caused in the past. Where will each of the players in this game end up?
I hope that all learn that communication is key to keeping things honest and true. And secrets have no place among those who care for someone else in any way. This situation was caused by poor, thoughtless comments and almost repeated by secrets. Grab your copy and see how this story resolves. Could there be a HEA in there somewhere?
Three Creeks, Montana felt like somewhere I could call home. Abigail Cahill returns home to handle her father’s things after his death. She feels lured back home to her small town life after feeling forced out years before by her older brother. He has grown as a person and knows what he did was wrong and is trying to repair the relationship with his sister that he damaged. This is also where Kent Parker comes in to play. What is supposed to be a kind and sweet reunion goes awry and lines are once again drawn in the sand. Everyone must finally be completely honest with each other and themselves. Abigail and Kent can finally let their guards down. What the reader is left with is an incredibly heartfelt love story. The characters have depth and personality and the plot is well written.

The storyline was wonderfully written and the characters were so well detailed that I was totally engaged throughout the entire book!
There were a lot of characters in the story, but they were easy to keep track of because they were so well done and so distinct.
Typical small-town fare––everyone is in everyone else’s business.
And, it seems everyone had an agenda.
A year after her father passes away, Abigail moves home and hopes to mend her relationships with her brother, Zach, and her sister, Mary. Grab your copy and see what happens. You’ll get to meet a great bunch of people and feel like you’re a part of their family. You’ll also get to meet Abby’s love interest, Kent.
The book is a good small town romance read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is an enjoyable light romance read.

A story of healing and redemption, Welcome Home is a gentle love story that touches the heart. Abigail is the victim of careless words that she took to heart and as a result, she resolves to live life on her own terms, and never be a burden to any other person. Lured into returning home to sort out her father’s house after his death, Abigail realises that some things never change and she determines to do the necessary and then hightail back to the city, where she has friends that love and understand her. Kent has made an agreement with Abigail’s brother, Zach, to do his part in making sure she comes home and stays home….. that is if they are to fulfill the terms of their father’s bequest. Kent has had his heart broken, but when Abigail comes into his store, he finds he is not at all immune to her. Zach’s gauche attitude and unfortunate word choice cause storm clouds to gather once more, and when the unspoken truce is broken, truths are revealed and the healing in all their lives can start. This is a gentle love story with realistic characters and real-life problems that need to be resolved. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Welcome home is a good small town story. The large number of supporting characters helped give the story depth and gives the reader a chance to catch up with characters from previous books in this series. However, I found this booked jumped about a bit rather than flowed smoothly, maybe it needed to be a bit longer… but that is just my opinion. All in all Welcome Home is a good, easy to read book with a HEA.
Welcome Home – An interesting romance in the brewing between two life long friends. All the characters were interesting and realistic, along with strong personality traits of their own. The only problem, my first with this lovely author, is how quick everyone turned their backs on a close friend, since childhood. The lack of communication between everyone disappointed me. I hope Ms. Maywether doesn’t change her style of her writing, she’s such an interesting writer. Other than my little peeve, this is a lovely romance with touches of humor. 5*
Let The Games Begin – Wow, this story contains so many different stories through the course of its telling. Heartwarming and fun, the plot just continues on while branching into more and more of the stories that make this book. The loving characters just draw the reader to them and their actions and dialog are so realistic; no stupid formula here. Ms. Maywether does a wonderful job with her writing and vivid descriptions; a simple but substantial book. I’ve enjoyed every book I’ve read by her so far.
Just A Friend – Another wonderful, entertaining story by Ms. Maywether. This book is well written, entertaining delight to read. There’s realistic, likable characters with good dialog, no stupid formula and a fun plot to get immersed in for a little while. A nice way to relax for an hour or so. I’ve enjoyed every book I’ve read by this lady. I contacted the author to review her books. 5*
Get Well Soon – Another wonderful, entertaining story by this author. A well written, funny romance and a quick marriage between two best friends of over 30 years. The characters are great and likable, and the dialog is realistic. They work out their new relationship, while remaining best friends, as one thing after another works against their marriage and trust. An enjoyable way to spend an evening is reading this story. 5*
Underneath The Mistletoe – A quickly read, sweet story about a guy trying to get a kiss from a woman who is seven years older than him. A heartwarming and fun Christmas story with her family and a man too far from home for the holidays. This is my first story by this author. 5*
