The “heartstopping” conclusion to the USA Today bestselling White Monarch series.I’ve become a queen to the forsaken, a leader to thieves, and the wife of a man who instills fear in all who cross his path. He was the husband I didn’t want. Now, I can’t fathom life without my king.I should’ve been ready for anything. Like the caterpillar that feeds on poison during metamorphosis, I was raised in … feeds on poison during metamorphosis, I was raised in the dangerous world of cartel crime. But nothing could’ve prepared me for Cristiano de la Rosa, his brother’s poison, or the Calavera cartel.
This is still a story about a love strong enough to topple households, unite enemies, and divide brothers. Resilient enough to bring down those who would try to destroy it . . . and selfless enough to make the ultimate sacrifice.
But I was warned, and so were you. Death’s day always comes. This time, it will find what was once a caterpillar is now a butterfly—and hell hath no fury like the White Monarch.

This last book did not disappoint. I loved this series and was excited to get this book. Natalia and Cristiano were bound to be together but it has taken so long for them to finally get to that point. Once Natalia finally realizes who Cristiano really was as a person and not what she has heard from others and his brother Diego has said about him, she finally accepts him and her feelings for him. But past enemies and other cartels are getting bolder and harm comes their way.
There are so many surprises in this book that it just keeps you guessing what is going to happen next and will Natalia and Cristiano survive long enough to get and enjoy their happily ever after. Once they find out that they will be attacked by their enemies, drastic actions are taken and Cristiano and Natalie risks their lives to destroy their enemies but at a great cost to both of them.
Ms. Hawkins can sure write books that wrings all the emotions out of you and gets you so involved in the characters that you either root for them or wish them harm. I can’t wait to see what stories she will come up with next!!!
Finally finished this amazing!!! Series!! And now I’m dad and don’t know what to do with myself!!! Absolutely loved this book! Worth the wait!!!
Oh wow, where do I begin? I finished reading Violent Triumphs several days ago and I’m sitting on it. I’m absorbing. I’m reveling in this grand conclusion to an EPIC series. I know that word is thrown around a lot, but it is completely warranted in describing this story.
VT starts and ends with a bang! The suspense and high velocity action are incredible! Natalia shows so much growth in the final book—not only coming into her role as Cristiano’s cartel queen fiercely and gracefully, but also proving her strength of mind and body. She finally realizes and admits her true feelings for Cristiano and he is waiting with open arms. Cristiano is as dark and dreamy as ever and his steadfast loyalty to Natalia is beautiful. Their love and devotion grows quickly and they soon become an alluringly determined force.
Alas there are nefarious shadows lurking, trying to bring down the golden cartel couple. This entire series has played out like an action-packed, dangerous and sexy movie! The details that Jessica Hawkins has so painstakingly included, along with the secondary characters, add layer upon layer of depth and intrigue to the story. And the ending…well…I think it just might be one of my favorite endings to a book. It’s bittersweet but oh so hopeful. 5 plus stars for Violent Triumphs, a marvelous ending to a must-read series!
What an unbelievable, heart pounding, exciting and intense conclusion!!! Passionate and sultry! Full of angst and chaos!! Phenomenal ending!!
What an intense ending to the series…
It’s often hard to review books later in a series without spoiling anything. Overall, I thought this book wrapped up the series great. I don’t really know how I was expecting this series to end, but this book definitely kept me on my toes. It was wonderful to see everything come to light and justice for Natalia. Portions of this book had me reading with bated breath and the twists thrown in were amazing.
This third, last part of the White Monarch trilogy is perfection! You’re thrust right back into the action where the second story left you hanging. Both Cristiano and Natalia are under attack and it doesn’t look good for them! Did they survive? Their relationship was slowly evolving as time passed, and this third story brings it all together so beautifully! The slow burn and development of these characters with the action packed events happening around them will have any reader addicted to this story!
Jessica Hawkins continues to amaze me with the awesomeness of her stories and characters!
This is the kind of story that book hangovers are made of…a story that will forever stick with you! A story that will grip you from the very first page to the very last page. A story that you crave and can’t get enough of. This conclusion of Natalia and Cristiano was so freaking good that I want to read it all over again. Their story was absolute PERFECTION!!! I was blown away, speechless at times, and torn at times as to who I wanted Natalia to end up with. Even after those jaw dropping moments when my heart was torn, twisted, and broken….it just made me love their story even more. I fell super hard for this series and really no amount of words can explain just how much that I floved this book. It’s a total MUST READ series with some amazing characters and a story that will take your breath away!!!

Ok, I have no words to express how fantastic and incredible this book and series is. I’m completely speechless. My words cannot justify how amazing this story is.
Jessica Hawkins has taken us yet again on a wonderful journey of joy and sadness between two beautiful characters.
Her character description of Natalia and Cristiano was fantastic, as they grew as a couple i felt every morsel in my body. She has given us the perfect amount of angst and heat.
I dont want to give away the story because of spoilers. Everyone needs to experience this story themselves and it is so worth it.
Jessica certainly knows how to string us along begging for more. Because of this she is most definitely the queen of angst.
The wait between books was so worth it. I cannot wait to re read this story. I will be getting the audio once it is released.
I would give this book and series a 10 star if I could, it’s right up there as one of my favourite series ever. This series I believe is her best work yet. It was an Epic conclusion to a fantastic series.
If your new to Jessica her work is fantastic, you will not be disappointed. This series is beyond incredible.
I give Violent Triumphs and the entire White Monarch series a massive 5 stars and most definitely a must read.
Enjoy
Wow, wow, wow. What a conclusion to this amazing trilogy, once I started reading, I could not put this book down, it consumed me.
In book three we start where book two finished and Natalia is under attack. Thankfully she is one tough heroine and manages to fight back and Jaz then leads them to the Panic Room for safety to await news of Cristiano’s welfare as we knew he was attacked also.
When Cristiano is located and brought back to Badlands for medical attention, things start to fall into place for Natalia when she starts to see him in a different light, no longer the enemy, but the protector, especially of her.
I loved the coming together of this pair, the chemistry and sexual tension has been building throughout the books so it was only a matter of time. After the attack they both knew the path they were about to go down. I loved their playful interactions and that they were destiny from the beginning.
I liked the fierce Natalia, ready to take the reigns and become the queen she was destined to be. She’s not the young naive girl she once was, she’s brave, courageous and ready to step up to be who Cristiano needs.
Cristiano, he totally stole my heart. He’s a good man, has done some bad things (I can forgive), but his centre is always been about Natalia and fighting for the greater good. Everything he went through was in one way or another was for her and let’s not forget about his pure alpha sex appeal though, he’s got it going on!
His overwhelming love and loyalty to Natalia and his selfless act at the end of the book sees him with a special place in my heart.
This series was everything, it’s was dark, thrilling, exciting, sexy, there was betrayal, twists, turns and an ending that was so perfect and one that I didn’t see coming, I actually went back and read the last few pages incase I got it wrong. I didn’t, and I loved it!
The series will grip you with Hawkins great ability to suck you into a story with it’s slow build yet delivering in the action and building on the chemistry and angst, my MUST READ favorite series of 2019!

This is the conclusion of Natalia and Christianos story so the previous two books need to be read first.
Natalia has grown so much throughout these books and I really felt like she’s finally where she needs to be, emotionally, mentally and physically. I’ve struggled a bit with Natalias character, the naivety that I hated in the beginning has gone and now Natalia truly is the Queen Christiano saw all along. Christiano was my man from the start and if anything I loved him even more by the end of this book.
The White Monarch series is full of lies, betrayal and revenge. There’s suspense and angst and some fantastic twists that kept me on my toes. This is a story that sucked me in and had me completely engrossed. Highly recommend this series.
Violent Triumphs was the heart pounding and enthralling conclusion to one of my absolute favorite series this year. Passionate, intense, and suspenseful this book was everything plus more that I hoped for Cristiano and Natalia.
The slowburn, tension, and flirtation between these two kept me eagerly awaiting the explosion that was sure to come and boy was it worth the wait! I loved seeing a whole new side to Cristiano that only Natalia was able to reveal. He had me swooning with the way he loved with all that he had. I enjoyed Natalia’s metamorphosis and how she learned to spread her wings and soar like the queen she was always meant to be.
From twists and turns I didn’t see coming to shared moments that made me swoon this book brought out a ton of feels from hate to love and everything in between. The ending of Cristiano and Natalia’s story was a bit bittersweet as I’m still not ready to say goodbye. Violent Triumphs was an amazingly addictive pageturner that kept me mesmerized as everything came together for the perfect conclusion to Cristiano and Natalia’s epic love story.
Before I begin my review, I have to say that this can not be read as a standalone. Violent Triumphs is the third book in the White Monarch series. The highly anticipated conclusion to Cristiano and Natalia’s story. To feel the love that slowly grows from doubt, betrayal and the rivalry of cartel families you have to read the first two books.
This is not my first read by Jessica Hawkins so why should I be surprised at how she claws at my heart and has my head turning 360 with the twist and turns of surprises and heartbreaking moments. There was a second there that I had to check if I was breathing.
If you’re looking to fall in love with a strong alpha man than Cristiano De La Rosa is the man. His love for Natalia is immeasurable, passionate beyond belief, his patience can have you running mad and his loyalty will have you falling to your knees. Natalia. Natalia. Natalia what a spitfire she is, strong as she is beautiful and her love will follow to the ends of the earth. Cristiano and Natalia wormed their way into my heart. This is a must-read series that had me knotted up in emotions.

This it the epic conclusion to the White Monarch series and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. I’m so glad I had the opportunity to read this series and I’m excited to see what’s next from her.
wow what a conclusion. jessica never disappoints and i love the fact that she leaves the reader so satisfied and always wanting the next book already. great book.
Violent Triumphs by Jessica Hawkins is book Three in the White Monarch Series. This continues the story of Natalia and Cristiano, so you really need to read the previous books to completely understand what is going on in this one. This book starts where the other one left us off with Natalia being Cristiano’s wife and her fully entering his world. But of course something happens that keeps the apart string more of their story around in this book. This has been a page turning series for sure. This book wraps up the loose ends for Natalia and Cristiano.
Love is I’d die for you, not would you die for me?
Violent Triumphs, the conclusion of the White Monarch Series by Jessica Hawkins is finally HERE! Gahhh this sexy, suspenseful, cartel romance has been EVERYTHING! I have experienced every emotion possible while reading these three stories, each one just getting better and better. Violent Triumphs is NOT standalone. Violent Delights andViolent Ends (White Monarch, #2) need to be read first and in order. The White Monarch Series has been a tragically beautiful story. If you are a fan of mafia/cartel/crime romances like myself, then trust me you are not going to want to miss this one.
Violent Triumphs picks up right where Violent Ends leaves off.
The last thing that Cristiano de la Rosa hears is his new wife screaming his name into the phone…
It had been Cristiano’s dying wish to hear me scream.
And the heavens had granted him that.
Cristiano has just been attacked while away on business, and so has his home where his wife Natalia is.
Belmonte-Ruiz, Mexico’s human trafficking ring, and the cartel that Cristiano has been putting a dent in have now retaliated, sending him a message that they will no longer allow him to interfere in their business.
Thankfully Cristiano had ensured that Natalie had lessons in protecting herself and she is able to fight off her attacker and get to the panic room along with other members of the house… unfortunately, not everyone was so lucky.
Including Cristiano who was away from the Badlands on a hunt for answers for Natalia while all this is going on, Cristiano doesn’t make it out of his attack unscathed…
I prepared myself to tend to the devil. To fix the monster who’d destroy all other monsters. To bring my husband back to life.
After the assault on the house and Cristiano’s brush with death, something changes.
And your heart?” she asked. “Is it impenetrable, too?” “No, but it wasn’t where he thought it would be,” I said. “Because it was here. With you.
What was once a marriage that resembled a battlefield, has now transformed. Natalia is finally ready to face her growing feelings for Cristiano. The man she thought was a monster is now her protector, her husband, her king.
I could be the woman he thought I was. The queen he’s chosen for his bride.
Cristiano has gotten Natalia the answers that she needs to have closure after the death of her mother and will have no more doubts about her husband’s involvement.
He’d told me many times before—I was his.
And for the first time, a small voice in my head answered back.
He was mine.
But after being lied to for so long, and for so much of her life when Natalia subsequently learns the true extent of Diego’s betrayal, she starts to question everything. If Diego was able to pull the wool over her eyes for years, how can she trust her own judgment, let alone anyone else?
An utter and painstaking betrayal had given me the greatest gift I hadn’t even known possible—the permission to fall in love with my husband.
While recovering Cristiano prepares for war against Belmonte-Ruiz when Belmonte suddenly calls for a truce. As long as Cristiano doesn’t enact revenge against them for the attack on him and his home, then they will stop trafficking and move onto other illegal ventures.
Stopping human trafficking is exactly what Cristiano wants, but how can he just let them get away with attacking him, his home, his wife?
Nobody would get away with hurting you. I’d raise hell to avenge you, and if that meant risking my life to achieve it, I wouldn’t hesitate.
Cristiano—
I wouldn’t be allowed in Heaven, but I swear on all that’s holy—I’d rattle the gates until they let me have you.
Cristiano is willing to start wars if it means protecting the women being sold into human trafficking, but his heroics have caused the Badlands to come under attack and soon the truth about the safe haven the Badlands really is, is at risk of being exposed.
With the help of Max and Natalia, even though it kills him to do so, Cristiano agrees that it is safer for everyone, including those in the Badlands if a war does not happen.
So Cristiano agrees to the truce.
For months, all is calm.
But just when they think the danger is over, that’s when the enemy will strike…
There was more than one way to make the world a better place. Good didn’t always prevail. Sometimes, monsters had to take the reins.
You guys… I finished Violent Triumphs days ago and my jaw is STILL on the floor. I seriously had anxiety during every single book, the entire time I was reading. I was constantly on edge, just waiting for what was going to happen next because you KNOW that SOMETHING is coming… but you have NO IDEA when or what… just when you think you have the story all figured out, be prepared for another twist. You will never guess where this one is going.
You are the White Monarch. Don’t you see that? You’re the weapon, the survivor, the killer. You can do this.
There was so, so much character development with Natalia. I went from really disliking her character to admiring her. In Violent Delights and Violent Ends, we see Natalia as this naive, fragile, foolish, spoiled cartel princess that foolishly accepted anything Diego told her. Now, in Violent Triumphs, Natalia has metamorphosed into the cartel queen that she was always meant to be. With the help of Cristiano, she has learned the truth about Diego and more importantly, she has learned to trust her husband. She’s not a weak little princess anymore, she has wholly embraced and accepted her feelings for her husband, and she is excelling in her role as his queen. She has spread her wings and she WILL fight back against anyone who intends to harm her family.
I’ve waited for you to stop acting like a princess and start thinking like a queen.
Nothing less would do for my king.
I wasn’t a king until you came along. Me coronaste. You crowned me.
Cristiano de la Rosa, druglord, kingpin, ruthless killer, you name it and it probably describes Cristiano. But what you don’t know is that Cristiano’s ruthless Calavera cartel is only a cover. He may do some “bad” things but he’s one of the good guys as far as I’m concerned. He’s protective and beyond loyal to Natalia and to the people in the Badlands that have become more than just a community, but a family. Now that Natalia has finally come around and accepted the love he was trying to give her, we are seeing a whole new side to Cristiano that I NEVER saw coming. Don’t get me wrong even in books one and two I thought highly of Cristiano but in Violent Triumphs, OMG he is totally swoon-worthy! He skipped right on over being the perfect book boyfriend and went straight to being the perfect book husband!
I had run out of reasons not to love him. It had bloomed unexpectedly and brutally. The soil for it had been rich, the foundation laid before I knew what it was to love a man.
Cristiano had been nurturing that seed all along, and the vines had overgrown my heart without my realizing.
The animosity, the sexual tension, the tantalizing flirtations, the anticipation, it all has led up to Violent Triumphs where everything changed with Cristiano and Natalia and we FINALLY have the BIG MOMENT that we have all been waiting for. This has been a slowww burn, but trust me, it was well worth the wait. Cristiano’s dirty mouth has tortured all of us, including Natalia this whole series and with all that buildup, there was sure to be an explosion! With Natalia and Cristiano’s renewed relationship and the fact that the man is sex on a dang stick, Violent Triumphs is SMOKIN’ HOT! Watching Natalia FINALLY come to terms with her feelings, and then watching her admit them to Cristiano was just icing on the cake! *SIGH*
Give me that nectar only good enough for a god; let an unworthy man into the depths of Heaven.
We were warned from the very beginning that death was imminent, but yet I STILL wasn’t ready. I never expected Violent Triumphs to end that way. Never. I wanted Cristiano and Natalia de la Rosa to get their happily ever after. But no matter what, they chose their fate together, and I wouldn’t change a thing about their ending.
He’s made me a queen when others would’ve had me stay a princess forever. To have the choice to go and live or stay and die meant more to me than he knew. I would remain by my king’s side. Now. Always.
I am so happy to finally have the conclusion of Natalia and Cristinao’s story but I still can’t help but wish that there was more to come from them… maybe a story about Pilar, or excuse me, Esmeralda and Alejandro? *COUGH, JESSICA, COUGH!*
Jessica Hawkins is an amazing author, the descriptions, the small details that give the image in your mind just that little extra to submerge you straight into the story. I have been so enthralled since the very first page of Violent Delights, to the very last page of Violent Triumphs. Leave it to Hawkins to leave my jaw on the floor! BRAV-FREAKIN-O Miss Hawkins, you most definitely put my emotions through the wringer with that ending.
What an amazingly epic conclusion to the White Monarch Series. Suspense, romance, betrayal, violence, heartbreak, and a love that will last a lifetime, Violent Triumphs and the rest of the White Monarch Series are not to be missed! I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND this series!
I thanked Cristiano, too, for the devil made his own destiny and crowned his own queen.
.
Sigh
I had high hopes for the conclusion of Natalia and Cristiano’s story. Book #3 started out great for me. It starts off where Book #2 ends (this is by no means a standalone). I loved seeing the transformation of Natalia from the first book until now. I loved the angst and the passion. Cristiano turned out to be the perfect book boyfriend that I never saw coming. Then…. around 2/3 in the story changed. We’re given a piece of information that, honestly, screamed that it was a set up. The story then jumps ahead several months and what I thought would happen… does. From there on out, you completely lost me (I started to skim the sex scenes before this part. I know. I know.). Some parts felt dragged out and others felt rushed.
This ending was perfect!
What a completely amazing story.
Watching Natalia and Cristiano grow into their relationship
was so satisfying after watching where they started from.
All the loose ends get wrapped up in this story and I found myself
holding my breath. I’m not sure how I pictured this to wrap up, but it
was so different from any of my expectations and that’s okay with me. 🙂
This book literally had me in tears. But the good kind. The kind that mean you’re reading a book that is so good, so emotional, so moving that you can’t hold them back.
Cristiano and Natalia’s final book was amazing. It was full of so many things I didn’t see coming. But that ending was probably most surprising of all. It was brilliantly done and absolute perfection.
I can’t say enough about this book or this series without giving things away and this series shouldn’t be spoiled. This is definitely one of Jessica Hawkins best books. I can’t wait for it to come to audio so I can experience it all again.
