The “heartstopping” conclusion to the USA Today bestselling White Monarch series.I’ve become a queen to the forsaken, a leader to thieves, and the wife of a man who instills fear in all who cross his path. He was the husband I didn’t want. Now, I can’t fathom life without my king.I should’ve been ready for anything. Like the caterpillar that feeds on poison during metamorphosis, I was raised in … feeds on poison during metamorphosis, I was raised in the dangerous world of cartel crime. But nothing could’ve prepared me for Cristiano de la Rosa, his brother’s poison, or the Calavera cartel.
This is still a story about a love strong enough to topple households, unite enemies, and divide brothers. Resilient enough to bring down those who would try to destroy it . . . and selfless enough to make the ultimate sacrifice.
But I was warned, and so were you. Death’s day always comes. This time, it will find what was once a caterpillar is now a butterfly—and hell hath no fury like the White Monarch.

HANDS DOWN, THE BEST SERIES OF THE YEAR!
Violent Triumphs is the epic conclusion of the White Monarch series.
Cristiano and Natalia’s love story is just as beautiful as it is scary.
After everything she went through, since the beginning, Natalia finally saw what was right in front of her eyes and from the sheltered young woman she was, she became a strong woman. A fighter! A queen for her king!
All the doubts are cleared, the secrets revealed and the slow burn extinguished.
I’m keeping this review short because this is one of those series you need to go in blind. Pick it up and binge read on my favorite series of 2019!
Thank you to Jessica Hawkins and Give Me Books for an advanced copy. I voluntarily reviewed this book, and all opinions expressed are mine.
Violent Truimphs
White Monarch #3

*REVIEW*
So, it is time for a book hangover! The White Monarch trilogy has ended, and I do not know what to do without another book in the works. I only recently discovered this series, but I did not have to wait between books-which was awesome. I highly recommend a good ole binge read for the trilogy. Violent Truimphs is not a standalone. It is honestly difficult to say much about the contents of the story without giving anything away. It is an amazing, gritty, sharp, unpredictable, complex and compelling read. I felt the full spectrum of emotions from happy to heartbreaking, and I am glad for it. I lived in this dark world for a little while-it is dark, so do not try to fool yourself into thinking otherwise. Truth told, bad people do horrible things and are not sorry about it at all. Natalia and Cristiano become so real that you actually worry about them. Their characterizations are so well drawn that I know they must exist somewhere in reality. I loved Violent Truimphs, and I will think about this story for a long time. Truly a stunning read!
The wait is over! I cannot tell you how excited I am that the final book in the White Monarch Series is here!
After the cliffhanger we got in book 2, I was dying to know what was going to happen next and how our beloved characters were going to survive what was coming or even if they would. One of the things I was most excited about is reading about the growth of Cristiano and Natalia’s relationship, I wanted to know every detail and every feeling they had. I wanted to know every though that crossed their minds. I wanted to know everything from them as they built their empire and navigate the twists and turns that had me feeling like my heart would burst at any time.
The angst is there, of course. And I loved it. Cristiano and Natalia made me go through hell and back with some of their heartwrecking and life changing decisions, but they also had me in pure bliss when their feelings for each other finally came to light. Their adoration for one another pours out of the pages. They are hot and explosive.
An exciting, swoony and emotional rollercoaster.
I really want to tell everyone every detail about this story because I am riding from a high after reading this book!! Violent Triumphs had my by the throat from beginning to the end. My heart is still pounding hard. I have loved and hated these characters and now, well I am speechless. Jessica Hawkins does these characters right!
So here is my non-spoiler review! You get so much passion and it is not just from lust. Its about traditions and betrayal. Living in the middle of a lie when you thought it was the truth. I whole heartily recommend these series!!!!
YES YES YES, THIS SERIES IS LIFE!!!!!
This is the final book in this epic series. This picks up right where book 2 ended and OMG, I was on the edge of my seat since the second I began the book. Cristiano is my EVERYTHING, I love him so much. I loved how strong he was, how he didn’t let anything or anyone keep him from Natalia. He was that male alpha who runs the world and doesn’t care who gets in his way. Natalia, I loved her in this book so much more. Seeing her fight and be who she is made fire burn stronger, she is the queen Cristiano needed.
I loved how these two ruled together, seeing them grow stronger and brighter was everything. The chemistry and angst was OFF THE CHARTS!!! I cannot described how much I loved this series, Jessica Hawkins went all out with this series. This is a MUST READ, this is a series you do not want to miss.
Natalia and Cristiano’s epic journey all comes to a crazy conclusion here in Violent Triumphs. Their marriage may have been forced, but in Violent Triumphs, they’re moving beyond their beginnings. They’re falling deep, deep in love as forces outside them are ramping up to make a run at Cristiano’s rule. Secrets are coming out and she’s starting to see that some of the things she’s long believed, people she’s believed in, are not quite as solid as she had thought. And it’s forcing her to take a long, hard look at the man she’s fallen in love with.
And now they’re taking one last stand. Will they stand as one, a queen with her king? Or will Cristiano force her away to protect her?
Hot damn, I may have had my doubts about these two as a couple in Violent Delights and Violent Ends, but this time around I fell hard for them as they stood strong, in love. Natalia comes into her own and turns into a fierce, badass queen, ready to take on the criminal underworld alongside her man. And speaking of her man…Cristiano, whew! Talk about a true alpha. He’s come so far from the seemingly evil man forcing Natalia into something she didn’t want, into a possessive yet tender man intent on setting the world on fire for his woman. Swooooon!
I absolutely loved Violent Triumphs. It’s definitely my favorite in this trilogy and my favorite by Jessica. It’s like an episode of Mayans MC if it were on HBO rather than FX, with enough steam and passion to melt your Kindle, along with all the action and intrigue you could possibly ask for in the very best romantic suspense. This is one of the most epic love stories I’ve read in a very long time. I’m going to miss Natalia and Cristiano, but I know I can go back and re-read their story anytime and fall in love with them all over again.
Where to begin? It truly bums me out that I have to give this last and final book a 3 star. Now there nothing wrong with 3 stars, I just expected MORE with this final installment. Does that make sense? Let me try to explain…
1) I couldn’t FEEL the connection between Natalia and Cristiano. Don’t get me wrong, I definitely FELT Cristiano’s struggle. His love and devotion. His desperation for Natalia to open her eyes and see what was right in front of her. THAT, I could see and feel. But I couldn’t 100%, without a doubt, say I felt that from Natalia. (SHE WAS STUBBORN TO THE END. I can give her that much). It was almost as if she pulled a 180 in this book after spending TWO BOOKS fighting against their relationship/him. And I guess because of this, their relationship didn’t feel organic to me. I don’t know how their relationship could’ve been told differently, but something just didn’t 100% work for me. Even when she finally told him, “I love you.” I was like, “HUH? When did that happen?” I definitely LOVED Cristiano and his unwavering desire and devotion for Natalia, that I can say wholeheartedly. His character made this series.
2) It was predictable at times. In their delivery, some “plot twists” were very obvious to me. I don’t know if this was due to the “foundation” that was set from book 1 and 2, or if this was due to the way book 3 was told. Either way, I had predicted certain things were gonna happen at the end of book 2 and they came to fruition in this book. Also, there was a part in the book that seemed very out of character. That characters action didn’t jive with HIM as a character and because of that decision he made, it lead to a plot twist that seemed to add predicable drama vs angst.
Underwhelmed is the best word to describe how I feel right now. I’ve gone back and forth between my feelings with this book. I had such high expectations and MAYBE because of that, that’s why things fell short for me? Who knows. It seemed to be missing that signature angst that we got in book 1 and 2. I just wanted MORE from these two and their relationship! I DID enjoy the story, but I didn’t love it as much as I had hoped. It just unfortunately fell flat for me in a sense. Maybe it was the longer break in between book 2 and 3? Maybe it would’ve been better as a duet? Again, who knows? I will say, I am curious to see if Jessica does a spin off for Alejo, Pilar and Barto! I’m quite intrigued to see where their story and dynamics could go.
So I guess if you want to be read about a series with mafia, revenge and a love triangle, then give this series a go. Jessica can write, I won’t deny that, so maybe YOU’LL love what I didn’t. Who knows, it’s happened before.
3 stars
Violent Triumphs is book three of the White Monarch series. WOW!! What an end it was!! This enemies to lovers book has everything you would want. It is a cartel romance with lots of angst. It was also filled with romance, love, and hot sexiness in all the right ways. Natalia and Christiano’s story is one that will not be easily forgotten. Get your copy today! This is not a stand-alone, so if you haven’t started the series, start Violent Delights today!
EPIC! WOW! This story blew me away it was just that good!! I don’t know what to do with myself now that it’s over.
Cristiano and Natalia have endured so much and it has taken their relationship to a much higher level than either one expected. After the cliffy in Violent Ends, Natalia’s feelings have changed and after her eyes were finally opened, there is no doubt now where her heart belongs.
In Violent Triumphs, there are still threats looming and the events that take place had my heart pumping. This conclusion to the White Monarch series was phenomenal. It has been an exquisite ride through Cristiano and Natalia’s journey. They fight together up until the end and it’s just magnificent to witness their love story. Natalia is the rightful Queen to Cristiano’s powerful King. I love these characters and the steamy connection they exude. Jessica Hawkins weaves a wonderful tale of betrayal, intrigue, suspense, love and heartbreak. The whole plot was amazing. That ending though, OMG! was so unexpected and startling. Wonderful series.
I have been not so patiently waiting to the conclusion on The White Monarch trilogy.
Natalia wasn’t sure what she thought about her new life and her husband. All her life she’s been around danger it’s a whole new world being married to Cristiano. Together they rule the Calabria cartel.
She has become a stronger person and her feelings have changed. She always thought Cristiano to be her enemy now she can’t imagine her life without him. So many questions were answered on this wild ride.
I am sad to see this trilogy come to an end. I was so invested in these characters. If your looking for a book full of angst full of twists and turns grab these books.
Epic emotions.
Nuclear hot passion.
A dark world of lies, deceits, betrayal and danger.
A jawdropping ending that stopped my heart.
The sharp, breathtaking and brilliant writing of Jessica Hawkins.
Violent Triumphs is everything and so much more.
So Natalia finally did what I have been begging her to do from first book. To give Cristiano a chance. Because I do not believe he is a complete monster. Well I find the most dominating, ruthless, merciless, arrogant and crude man in the underworld absoultely attractive. Sue me. But their path is not going to be easy. The rival cartels who do not like what Cristiano is doing. His brother and Natalia’s ex lover Diego. And they have a long way to go, probably through death, before they find their happily ever after.
The chemistry between Cristiano and Natalia has always been explosive but in this book it came out beautifully. The evolution of Natalia’s character is amazing. The old weak, fragile and vulnerable girl is gone. Cristiano’ s love, support, training and protection has created a new person. Stronger inside out and who can stand up for herself. A true queen for the dark king. Their connection will go through fire and become unbreakable. They have become partners rather than participants in a forced marriage of convenience. I am falling in deeper love with Cristiano. This infuriating man is too much and his devotion for Natalia was melting my heart thoroughly. I blushed and fanned myself in the raw intimate moments. I swooned and sighed when he declared his love in so many heartaching ways. Jessica Hawkins was driving me crazy with insane twists and turns till the very end!
Violent Triumphs was an unforgettable ending to a mindblowing series. Jessica Hawkins created an outstanding saga of love, passion, crime and darkness.
Received ARC for Honest review
I need to start this by saying how much I was looking forward to this book. This is the third book in this Author’s White Monarch series, and if you haven’t read the first two you MUST before reading this. I was on pins and needles anxious for this book and it didn’t disappoint.
This is a book that took me for a hell of a ride. I was invested right from the start and once I started reading there was nothing that was going to stop me from finishing it. My emotions were all over the place. I was angry, I was sad, I was anxious. But god, was it all worth it.
I never know what will come next from this Author. She weaves stories that you just can’t predict at all. I certainly didn’t expect much of what happened in this book but it absolutely fit the characters. The writing just sucks you in, and you believe what is happening with these characters.
I finished this book with a big sigh. I loved the ending, but I wasn’t quite ready for the series to end and to say goodbye to these characters. But I will say, it was done perfectly. I won’t spoil this book in any way, but I will say I loved it and absolutely recommend it.
I have been counting down the days until I had this book in my life! As soon as I saw this beauty on my Kindle I was so excited to jump back into this world. The first two books in this series became two of my favorite reads this year and now so has Violent Triumphs! I absolutely loved this installment!
Natalia and Cristiano’s story stays with you. I felt everything with these two! I was glued to my kindle throughout waiting to see what would happen next.
What a book hangover! Ms.Hawkins has created such an addictive and unforgettable journey with the White Monarch books!
*I volunteered to read and review a Copy of this book from the author*
What a perfect conclusion to this trilogy and well worth the wait. Cristiano is the most perfectly imperfect alpha and these two together created for the most epic trilogy in books. Jessica did such an amazing job concluding this story in this book and did not disappoint in this final book. She once again ran me through all my emotions with the perfect amount of suspense and what is going to happen next.
Perfection once again
Fantastic ending to the trilogy! I seriously could not get enough of Cristiano’s filthy mouth. This book really brought everything together nicely and the progression between the books and the way that the characters grew was perfect. The story was raw, gritty, and the twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. Loved every minute of it!
Oh. My. Heavens! From the beginning I was biting my nails; this book held me captive from start to finish! The White Monarch Trilogy is perfection in every sense of the word and Violent Triumphs is a phenomenal ending to a fantastic love story.
I can barely form words for this book, it was that good! This is the last book in this trilogy and the wildest ride out of the three. This book is heart stopping as the plot just keeps twisting. AMAZING conclusion!
This is the last book in the amazing White Monarch Trilogy, a Mafia Romance. I read it before, but the audiobook version brings magnificently this story to life. The story continues where Violent Ends left off. There is a lot going in this last book. The storyline is intense, twisted, captivating, suspenseful, and hot! I love all about it. This is a breathtaking and epic conclusion to this amazing Series. The bonus Deleted Scene was hot! Emma Wilder, Brian Pallino, and Gomez Pugh did an outstanding job with the narration! I enjoyed it and I highly recommend it! This is one of my favorite series! (review updated with the audiobook version)
“I wouldn’t be allowed in Heaven, but I swear on all that’s holy—I’d rattle the gates until they let me have you.”
I CANNOT BELIEVE IT’S OVER!
Once again, Jessica Hawkins held me captivated for almost an entire year with a series. Everything about this world of the cartel was intriguing, and she brought it to life so vividly.
And the characters—I was hopelessly twisted up in them from the start. Cristiano—be still my heart—he is EVERYTHING! His love and protectiveness of Natalia was unwavering. Endless.
With Natalia I’m happy to say, she grew on me. I absolutely LOVED her in Violent Triumphs! She stepped up, listened to her heart, and became the queen I’d hoped she would. Her attitude, sass, and strength kicked this part of their story up a notch.
The full-out passion and action in this installment kept me glued to the pages. You could FEEL the emotions that come with surrendering to desire, love, and the discovery of betrayal.
I’m so incredibly happy with how the White Monarch series ended, but also sad that it ended at all. It’s become one of my absolute favorites ever! And Cristiano de la Rosa now sits in a throne, like the king he is, as my TOP FAVORITE literary hero.
Violent Triumphs, the dramatic and outstanding conclusion to the White Monarch Trilogy is a must read, all consuming book that you won’t want to put down. Cristiano and Natalia were sizzling, phenomenal and resilient characters who blew me away. I was stunned at the secrets that were revealed, the major plot twists, angst, lies, betrayal and unexpected storyline. At no point did this story drag, I was on the edge of my seat and hanging on by a thread with anticipation.
I can without a doubt say that this is one of my absolute favorite trilogies and Cristiano and Natalia will live in my heart forever.
