The “heartstopping” conclusion to the USA Today bestselling White Monarch series.I’ve become a queen to the forsaken, a leader to thieves, and the wife of a man who instills fear in all who cross his path. He was the husband I didn’t want. Now, I can’t fathom life without my king.I should’ve been ready for anything. Like the caterpillar that feeds on poison during metamorphosis, I was raised in … feeds on poison during metamorphosis, I was raised in the dangerous world of cartel crime. But nothing could’ve prepared me for Cristiano de la Rosa, his brother’s poison, or the Calavera cartel.
This is still a story about a love strong enough to topple households, unite enemies, and divide brothers. Resilient enough to bring down those who would try to destroy it . . . and selfless enough to make the ultimate sacrifice.
But I was warned, and so were you. Death’s day always comes. This time, it will find what was once a caterpillar is now a butterfly—and hell hath no fury like the White Monarch.

I liked the series for the most part. The heroine was a bit naive throughout the three books. Topics were repeated often. it took until the third book for them to consummate the marriage. But I did cry a time or two and enjoyed the epilogue.
Oh my goodness! I thought my heart was going to come out of my mouth with desperation. What an unexpected conclusion to the series and I just found it so perfect. Wow!! Cristiano and Natalia have that connection in a couple that I love to read about and that Jessica Hawkins never misses when she gives her hero and heroine life. Full of passion not just for each other but for everything around them. I always finish her series hungry for the next one.
This book had me glues to it’s pages! It’s the type of book where you tell yourself you will stop at the end of a paragraph to do silly things, such as take a shower–like any mundane thing to do. But one paragraph becomes two, then three, and the next thing you know you have finished two chapters! And the shower becomes almost an afterthought.
Such an amazing series! To be honest, I think this third book was the best one of the three! I did not understand how great a love story the fortune teller meant it would be until this very last book. I could have sunk myself into Cristiano if I could. That man is the perfect specimen created in a world full of words on pages! I fell so hard for these characters that reaching the end is tearing me apart! I don’t want to say goodbye to them! I have grown uncomfortably attached to them and I will grieve the absence of not being able to read anything more on them. Cristiano and Natalia have to be one of my favorite couple of all time!
A book well written with a love story that will last a lifetime!
What a way to end this series!!!
Book two had us thinking all sorts of things, like
what happened to Cristiano? Is Natalia ok? And how
did this happen…!?!? Violent Triumphs gave us everything
and a little more. The character growth between C+N was
amazing, they really came together, they fought for the
the love that they both knew was there. It was AMAZING from
beginning to end
This final book in the White Monarch Series! What can I say? I am still in a de la Rosa induced fog. I loved Christiano and Natalia! She grew so much in this book, becoming the Queen to his Kingdom. They were perfection together, meshing together like two lost puzzle pieces that have been lost from the box and finally found their way back together.
The twists this book takes, the turns, you are on the ledge, then off the deep end, floundering! There were villains (especially one!) to hate, family to love (some by blood, others by hearts). I was glued to the pages, not knowing how things were going to turn out for this star crossed couple. Nails were chewed, kindle was thrown down, tears were cried. This book was EVERYTHING!!!
If you have not read this series by Jessica, you are missing a Love Story that is EPIC! All her books and series will remain with you long after you finish the last page. They are so real they live on in your heart and mind. I would give this book SO many more stars if I could!
Oooh, I’ve been impatiently waiting for the final instalment of Natalia and Cristiano’s dangerous tale!! And I was not disappointed. I devoured it, inhaled it – all while knowing the end was coming closer and closer … It was bittersweet. Their love story is as much sensual and beautiful as it is scary and thrilling.
Passion, twists and crazy mafia madness galore. That delicious sweet slow-burn turning into a raging blistering inferno once Natalia finally realized what was directly in front of her. After all she’s been through, she finally comes out so much stronger in the end – from sheltered and innocent girl to this fierce fighting – unstoppable – queen – all thanks to Cristiano.
And Cristiano. Lord, this man. I fell even deeper for him than I thought possible. He’s amazing – perfectly imperfect. Swoon-worthy, gloriously dark perfection.
These two were truly destined for one another. And true happiness never comes easy. These two have to fight for it tooth and nail in this mind-blowing, insanely intense emotional rollercoaster ride of an enemies to lovers story. Angst, betrayal, suspense and danger all packed into phenomenal writing, making this one of my absolute favorite mafia series out there. Read it now!!
The first book in this series is slow placed but I really liked it because it gave me a detailed background story, character development, understanding of the relationships and most importantly a good plot. I couldn’t think if anything negative to write so i gave it five stars.
The second book, i found it really boring. As I mentioned in that review, the same argument kept on repeating itself between both the main characters for half of the book. I got tired if reading about the same argument again and again, but after reading half the book the story finally starting becoming interesting again so i gave it 3 stars for the second half of the book and how well written everything is.
Now the third book, this is my personal opinion some of you may disagree or agree with me that this book was completely pointless. The plot became so unpredictable when i read ”He’s already dead.” I literally rolled my eyes. Like seriously? He was completely MIA since the start of the second book and now suddenly he just ends up being dead?
And OMG i was so shocked when they were celebrating their six weeks anniversary! Like TWO BOOKS, I READ EVENTS FROM TWO VERY DETAILED BOOKS, EVENTS THAT TOOK PLAce ONLY DURING 6 WEEKS! I thought maybe 5 months had passed by during everything that was happening.
And the ending god, I did not like it all. You either kill someone or you don’t okay?
Someone dies here and then comes back to life and then dies again but Ha spoiler alert is actually still alive.
How many times are you going to kill someone?
I can not believe this is a book from the same series I gave a five star review too.
The only I’m giving this one is 2 stars is because again the writing was good and out of respect for the first book.
Wow! Wow! WOW! What an amazing love story! I’m so impressed with this trilogy! My love for Jessica Hawkins has soared way beyond what I thought it could. I’ve loved every single one of her books but this Trilogy was amazing! I couldn’t put any of them down and completely binge read all 3 books in just 2 days. A beautifully written story! Just BEAUTIFUL!
This series is at the top of my favorites list, for sure. Jessica really got me in this book. The love story between Natalia and Cristiano is like no other. This is a must read! I don’t want to give spoilers, but trust me when I say, Read this!
The making of a queen while others would’ve kept her a princess.
Cristiano was more than a husband to Natalia, he was the protector, provider and educator. When Natalia lost her mother at a very young age she relied on her father to guide her and protect her. As the years went by and Natalia was old enough to wed, an arrangement was made. Cristiano became her protector and the man who would train her for the role of queen.
This enemy to lovers saga continues with Violent Triumphs being the last and final book.
Overall:
I still felt disconnected with these characters. Even though a change was made between them I still had limited to no interest in there union.
I was disappointed at how long I had to wait for answers regarding Natalia’s mother’s murder, almost the halfway mark.
Jessica focused on building a romantic suspense while I focused on the truth.
Natalie finally transformed and came into her role as queen which was a blessing considering her mindset was weak before and now its strong.
I liked how Jessica proceeded forward with answers and providing closure regarding her mother’s death, even if it took reading half the book.
This isn’t your run of the mill cartel story. Jessica put her spin on it by changing it up by focusing on molding Natalia into a queen. I do appreciate the effort Jessica put in creating a unique cartel story I just wish the delivery had a steadier pace of entertainment.
This was a true to fashion Jessica Hawkins story with long stretches of angst, some dirty sexy scenes, and a plethora of details. What I would’ve liked more of was story based solely on dialogue something to help move the story along at a more steady pace. As it was it was slow on more than one occasion with heavy action in some areas then back to the slow pace. I found myself feeling weary and too tired to read the slower sections. This story isn’t progressing at the rate I need to stay attached. My mind wanders periodically awaiting some form of entertainment.
Unfortunately this story didn’t sing to me like I would’ve liked. There was little to no action or suspense. I wasn’t invested in these characters the way I usually am with Jessica’s characters. The caliber of writing was nothing when compared to Slip of the Tongue which will always be my favorite.
Although, I didn’t love reading this book I am curious about the audiobook and who will narrate Cristiano and Natalia. I might be inclined to give it a listen.
Violent Triumphs is the long awaited conclusion to the White Monarch Trilogy. We’ve seen the crazy ups and downs, deception, danger, alliances being built and watching a couple fall in love throughout a chaos. This series gave us a bit of everything and even though i was expecting things to go a little differently, I still enjoyed this series overall.
Picking up right where Violent Ends left us with heart stopping cliffhanger, Natalia and Cristiano are facing threats from every angle while trying to continue running their empire and staying on top. Natalia went from being a princess to a Queen and having the love and devotion to one of the most powerful man in Mexico. Their union started off rocky but they always had respect for each other and it showed in their actions going forward.
I like the fact that this series gave us a taste of the underground cruel world to the Cartel business and this author did a really good job of showing us some of the day by day operation and the sacrifices that were done in order to be a part of that kind of lifestyle. I was never a fan of the heroine if I’m being completely honest but she was tolerable for this final chapter and I liked that she held her own in certain situations.
Cristiano was the epitome of a bad MOFO and I loved that he gave it his all in everything. He loved with a passion that you couldn’t fake, he protected the people around him like his life depended on it, and he ruled his empire with grit and a determination that made you had no doubt about why he was a King.
I have to say that I was expecting a bit more from this final book and I was a little disappointed with some of the outcomes and OTT cheesy lines. I wanted to see more retaliations and know about a few more characters and what was going to happen moving forward and I didn’t really get that. But putting that aside, I liked how the author put a few things into play and she gave us a ending that was best for the story overall and I appreciated that.
If you haven’t started this series yet, it’s definitely worth a try to start it.
*Arc received for an honest review
What an amazing conclusion to this series. I am super sad to see it end though. I absolutely loved Cristiano and Natalia! Jessica will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout the book. Fantastic series, it’s a must read. You are missing out if you dont read the White Monarch series.
The conclusion to this series was absolutely epic! The story picks up right where book 2 leaves off.
Natalia and Cristiano continue to work through their relationship and the tests due to their shared past. Their life is in the Badlands but other cartels are still out there and not happy with decisions Cristiano has made.
There is so much I want to say about this book but truly feel like it will spoil it! I was fulfilled with this story and how it played out through the course of the trilogy. You won’t be disappointed!
This review is harder to write without giving anything away, so I’ll keep it short and sweet. What a ride that was. Jessica sure knows how to jerk my emotions around.
I loved how Natalia transformed throughout the series, she was frustrating sometimes but I really enjoyed her growth. Cristiano remains the dreamy Alpha I was salivating over in books 1&2. And their fire and chemistry only grew in this book. I did see certain things coming but regardless I truly enjoyed this book.
I always enjoy Jessica’s writing style, this was very entertaining and I really liked diving into the cartel world she’s built.
Violent Triumphs is the final book of the White Monarch trilogy. You must read these books in order.
This saga tells the story of young, naïve Natalia Cruz, and her love for two brothers, Cristiano and Diego.
Violent Triumphs picks up right book two, Violent Ends concluded.
I continued to find it difficult to connect with the main characters in the series. I saw very little growth in Natalia, and I did not see Cristiano being true to the character he was in the first two books.
Jessica’s writing, as always, is fantastic. Her writing style and how much of herself she puts into her stories are clear reasons why she is one of my favorite authors.
It’s clear others who have read the series have really enjoyed it, I just had trouble finding that connection, and that makes me really sad.
When I finished the second book, Violent Ends, I didn’t know were the third and last book, Violent Triumphs, would take me. Of course I could guess, but some of my guesses was way off. But, wow what an ending!
I enjoyed reading how Natalie de la Rosa grew, both physically and mentally. Though, the transformation to queen went a bit too fast for my liking.
The connection between Natalie and Cristiano was electric and lovable!

What an absolute fantastic third edition to this series. So much is going on in this story that keeps you on the edge of your seat, but always dying for more. More Natalia, Diego and Cristiano, more questions, more heat….. just more!
This is another slow burn series, and another example of this authors best writing to date. Cristiano has been one red hot alpha male from the beginning. We’ve just been put through so much fore-play in the beginning of the series and it was all to lead up to the big bang of an explosion between these characters. Brothers vying for the same girl, mysterious and thrilling story line and dialogue, and just good writing all around. The covers have been pretty darn amazing also.
Definitely one of the best series of 2019 that you won’t want to miss!
This is the conclusion of Cristiano and Natalia’s story. They are still navigating their relationship. Tragedy brings them close, only to have old ghosts try to rip them apart. It is an action packed ride to the end!
Santa mierda! This series proves why Jessica Hawkins is a must read author for me. The the push and pull between Cristiano and Natalia. The fight between right and wrong. How one act can affect people in different ways. I would read Jessica’s grocery list! I’ll just leave this quote from the book:
“Love is I’d die for you, not would you die for me?” – Cristiano
Jessica Hawkins has done it again with this incredible and captivating conclusion to her White Monarch trilogy. I have to admit that I wasn’t sure I would love this series as I’m not a big fan of the whole mafia genre, but boy did she prove me wrong! Natalia and Christiano had a slow burn of a relationship but I was completely invested in and rooting for them to get their happy ending and end up together by the end. They were put through every test and challenge possible, but I loved how we saw them grow throughout the course of the series. Natalia grew from a meek young adult who pretty much listened to everything Diego and her Papa told her into this amazingly strong cartel queen. And Christiano learned to be caring and loving and more human. Christiano was everything! He was ruthless and dangerous, cunning and clever, but most of all he was completely devoted to Natalia. I loved seeing that softer side of him. Jessica has a reputation of being the queen of angst and she did not disappoint her readers one bit. I loved everything about this book and cannot wait to see what she has in store for us next!
