I really enjoyed this story. The teenager and her wolf and friends are all interesting and their adventures have really inspired me with determination to continue with the series. l like the way this author writes and the narration for these teenagers is well done. Recommended.
I enjoy reading each installment of this series and as I finish one, I immediately have to buy the next book. You can’t help but love and relate to each of the characters in the book and become entangled in their stories. It is books such as these that pop off the page and become the movies in your mind.
Another addictive read that I couldn’t put down. In this latest instalment Ylva tries to get control of her new powers, and try to escape the bunker.
Valkyrie 103 is a great third instalment in the Afterlife Academy: Valkyrie series. There’s a lot of focus on building the relationships and friendships in the book, and Ylva growing as a person. I love the chemistry between Sim and Flavia too, the two of them are adorable. Plus, who doesn’t love the amazing familiars at the Afterlife Academy – not only do we get more of Pickles and Hyde, but we also get to meet Flavia’s dusk wolf! If you haven’t started this series yet, then I recommend you start!

Our heroine is attending the Afterlife Academy and dealing with the dead and the supernatural in addition to all the normal high school drama. Needless to say, things do not go smoothly.
This is book three in the series and it does a pretty good job as a standalone. But as we get further into the series, there are more references and back story from the earlier series. At this point, it is probably best to start at the beginning.
This story features an interesting blend of elements with urban fantasy as a base. The story continues to be well written and the author blends the various elements into a fast paced story that kept me engaged and turning pages. The plot has lots of twists and turns which keep you guessing. The characters are also learning and growing as we proceed, which is really nice to watch. The story does end on a bit of a cliffhanger, but I was going to read the next one anyway, so no matter. Overall, a highly enjoyable read.
Highly recommended.

Ylva’s journey continues and she’s as determined as ever to figure out about herself. This author has created an amazing paranormal world filled with drama, mystery, action, suspense and twists that kept me turning the pages. Even though we got some questions answered this book ends in a cliffhanger and now I anxiously await the next book in this series.
Well, I read this book pretty fast! That’s because i needed to know if Ylva and her class mates where free from the cave in. I also need to know if she finally got her feelings sorted out when it comes to Ryoko. Ylva has a tendency to insert foot in mouth when it comes to Ryoko. Ylva still faces animosity from some class mates however something does happen and it makes you wonder if things will change. Ylva also starts to learn shadow magic but at what cost.
Overall this book kept me reading till the end which left with a cliffy. A few questions answered and a few not. If you want a quick, easy to read book, then this is a series to dive into.
