Emotional, endearing, and full of romance, don’t miss this brand new standalone heart-wrenching story by USA Today Bestselling author Claudia Burgoa!Tucker Decker is an infamous billionaire. He’s ruthless, impulsive, cold-hearted, and hot as sin.He likes his relationships casual and his commitments without strings. But when it comes to his former bandmates, he’d do anything for them.Tragedy demands … he’d do anything for them.
Tragedy demands sacrifice.
I’m an independent woman.
I’ve learned never to ask for help.
And I certainly didn’t want it from Tucker.
When my sister left us both to care for my niece,
we realize co-parenting may be harder than we thought.
Especially when we’re fighting a desire for each other.
When the ghosts of our past come back to haunt us, will we find that there’s still an us after all?

Passion and romantic does not even begin to explain this amazing book. This story is one filled with compassion, partnership, love and family. Tucker and Sages journey with Mae is one that will have you filled with more love than you ever thought you were capable of feeling.
Us After You, was a powerful read that brought the whole sinners group together. Showing a bond that was stronger than blood a bond that was more than the strongest family could ever wish to have.
The pain and sorrow felt by this group is palpable, jumping off the pages. A must read for all romance lovers. A must have on book shelves around the romance community.
A definite 10 star read!
This book is full of love, pain, disappointment, and hope. Us After You starts with a painful letter from Rocco to Tucker, brothers of the heart, if not by blood, and sets the tone for the book. They were members of a band which was formed by a group of teenagers with troubled childhoods, Rocco was one of the two members who were in and out of rehab; Tucker has always tried to help his brothers in the band.
Sage is from a wealthy, dysfunctional family that expects her to be the responsible one while blaming her for anything that goes wrong. She leaves Manhattan after a painful divorce to help out her grandparents in a small Oregon town. When Sage and Tucker are thrown together, there is mistrust, anger, attraction, and a wild ride.
I loved seeing Tucker surrounded by all his mixed, extended family and friends. This is a group that comes together when anyone is in need. Sage seemed to act as a doormat, but she grew and found herself through her experiences with Tucker and the people in his life. Loved this book, and was so happy to see Tucker in his own story.
I received an ARC from the author and this is my honest review.
4* Taking Chances Stars
This is Tuckers Story and he was the lead singer of the Sinners of Seattle. Even though the band broke up he is still very close to his former bandmates as they are like brothers to him. When tragedy strikes Tucker is the first to step in and together with his former band mates, they unite to fight for what is right. This is where he meets Sage who like the Sinners of Seattle has also had a tough childhood and past. Together they have to put their pasts behind them to enable them to navigate the future which includes a little girl who has lost both her parents.
This is an angsty slow burn romance and it will have your emotions all over the place. The cover of the book is gorgeous.
Where to begin.. Like others have stated the book started off a little hard to follow, but having read Ms. Burgoa before I knew there had to be a reason it was written as it was. Yep, by half way through it was all clicking together and I ended up reading another amazing story from this author. You can read the synopsis and get a really good grasp of what the storyline is about, but what it doesn’t say is how emotional and heartfelt the book is. I literally couldn’t put it down once it got going. The book made my heart ache at times and soar in others. The characters (which at times I wanted to bop a on the head) were devine. The story is about things we all face in our lives: Heartbreak, healing, the power of love and forgiveness and so much more.
This is one truly amazing contemporary romance that this reader Highly Recommends grabbing up; by the end of the book, you won’t be sorry you did. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Brilliant Stars.
There are so many emotions in this book. There is the struggle of addiction and seeing how some survive while others don’t. There is tragedy. There is the coming together in order to care for an innocent child and finding that family is what you make it and blood isn’t always the strongest factor in that bond.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching Tucker and Sage navigate all of this and grow as individuals and partners to make the best life for themselves.
Oh my heart! This story moved me to tears and then to laughter and to heartwarming feels! You are going to run the gamut of emotions with this new story from Ms. Burgoa!
This is Tucker and Sage’s story. But it is so much more! It’s the definition of love and choosing your own family. You don’t have to be related by blood to feel that connection, that belonging.
Tucker was the lead singer of the Sinners of Seattle. His history is scarred with not feeling like enough. From being shuffled from family to family and never feeling like he truly belonged until he forged his own family with his bandmates. He is the unofficial leader of the band and he takes his role and responsibilities to his bandmates seriously, too seriously.
Sage also comes from a rocky past and childhood. She has run away from her horrible past and started fresh. She is the glue that keeps her family together as best as she can.
This story flowed through the years, and it flowed beautifully. There is heartache and pain but above all else, there is hope and love in this story! I loved the dialogue, the secondary characters, absolutely everything about this book! You will too!
This is going to be in the running for my “Best Books of 2020!”
Yours to Keep is the sixth book of The Baker’s Creek Billionaire Brothers series by Claudia Burgoa. Vance Aldridge is the brother that we know the least about. What we do know about him is that he is a military man who has retired. He had recently found out that the group that he been working with, he thought were doing good things found out that he was actually working with a mercenary group.
It was when this group he was with took aim at his family and his brother Beacon was injured that he is filled with remorse. All he wants to do is work with his brother in the Organization. But before he can do that he has to be seen and treated by a therapist. They need him to be in the right frame of mind to join the team. There is a lot he’s done with the mercenary group, including executing some of the men that worked with him. This is where Dr. Sanders comes in and he and Vance work at his issues. Dr. Sanders might also hold some secrets too!!
It’s when Hayes needs help with his practice and staffing a new hospital being built in Baker’s Creek that he ends up recruiting Dr. Darren Dare. Dr. Dare is a world renown neurosurgeon but looks at Baker’s Creek as the answer to his meddling family, most specifically his mom and sisters. The afore mentioned mom and sisters are always trying to set him up with a date. And for someone who isn’t looking for or wanting a committed relationship is a real pain in the a$$.
But it’s when Darren meets Vance that there is an immediate attraction between the two. One that neither of them is necessarily ready to act on… although not because of the lack of interest of a flirting by Dr. Dare!! These two are such opposites that it makes for some really funny moments. As playful and flirty as Darren is it was really a striking difference to Vance’s serious, broody and sometimes grumpy personality. And just how do you think these two will finally light a fire for each other? An unexpected visit from Darren’s mom and sister will lead to Vance faking a relationship with Darren to set his family astray. What they hadn’t planned on was ending up with some pretty explosive chemistry!!
I think that one of the things that I loved about this book was how truly awesome to see all these brothers from different mothers bond as a family!!
Also, be ready cause there are going to be some twist and turns that may surprise you, as well as finding out more about William Aldridge!!
There were a lot of touching moments, giggles, support, and love in this story. I really enjoyed how Sage and Tucker found ways to be co-parents despite their pasts and differences. Though forced into the situation, they tried so hard to ignore their feelings for each other so that they would be successful. I fell in love with both of them, and I cried a few times as they made their way through the trials of parenthood and love. I highly recommend this story.
The dual narration by George Newbern and Grace Grant gave life to Sage and Tucker, and they helped me enjoy this story.
I received this audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
Us After You
Tucker and Sage
LOVE LOVE LOVE Tucker’s story!
I read a lot of books, but Ms Burgoa’s books are NEXT LEVEL!
Received this ARC and am leaving an honest review.
Claudia always can give you an ride with her books. This one is no different, we can laugh and cry at all the joys and loss that the Sinners of Seattle and the families go thru. I can’t wait to the next one to visit again with this loving family. I hope Ethan gets his story soon. Tucker and Sage go thru so much to get to their happy place in life. I am so happy to have read this book it is a wonderful story that tugs at your heart but in the end gives you a ton of joy. Thank you Claudia for another wonderful read!
Us after You I found to be a beautiful story of love and what can make a family. I loved reading Sage and Tucker’s story as they discover co-parenting after becoming guardians of Sage’s niece. I love reading Claudia’s characters, they have a depth of emotions that make them seem real. I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next.
What a beautiful book, full of love and heartache for sure. I kept reading and reading, hardly putting it down. I was excited to read Tucker’s story and the author didn’t disappoint. So many feels and emotions. Tucker grows into someone who is beyond lovable and so giving if his love. Times two!
I loved Sage, she’s exactly what’s needed to fill the love that’s missing.
4.5 stars!
Great read and beautifully written by Claudia. An emotional and heartfelt throughout. Tyler and Sage was left to parent Sierra and Rocco baby Mae. But all things to unfold about taking care of the baby according to Sage’s parents.
In my head, there is an island somewhere on the Oregon coast that houses the entire Decker clan and they are real, living people. I adore this family and every member in it.
That being said, if you haven’t read all the other books, this book is easily a standalone, although the beginning of it overlaps with Almost Perfect. The characters are family so there is overlap, even though the stories are independent of each other.
Anyway, Tucker Decker. Tucker is the son of Thea, that she had given up for adoption as a teen but came to live with her when he was a teen and the family found out he had been abused. He is the grandson of Chris and Gabe, patriarchs of this family and subjects of the first book in the Unexpected series which also includes Tucker’s parents.
Grown up Tucker was part of the Sinners of Seattle band, and while they are no longer a band the members are still close. They are family to each other. When tragedy strikes twice in a short time, Tucker is left as guardian for a precious baby girl. Sage is the baby’s aunt, and named by her sister as another guardian. To keep the baby safe from Sage and Sienna’s estranged parents, Sage and Tucker must live together and coparent her while under the scrutiny of the court system.
Ms Burgoa is a master at emotional storytelling. This book will break your heart and put it back together again. These characters are so real and raw, yet there is so much love surrounding this baby girl and the people raising her. Despite whatever conflicts arise between them, the Decker family is all about love and acceptance, and that is just what Tucker, Sage, and the baby all need, and it’s beautiful.
I was a little on the fence when i forst received this book since rockstar romances are not my thing but I love this author’s work so I gave it a whirl it was more about the two characters working through their anger while figuring out how to cope with their new parenting roles as a unit it was funny, heartbreaking, adorable, and at the same time aggravating because you want to talk at them to get over their stubborn egos and just give in to their feelings which took forever but made for good reading
I will try to do this without spoilers.
But just know that I highly recommend this emotional read.
Sage is left to co-parent her niece with Tucker. This is a rather long book and there’s a timeline of three years back and overlaps with another book (but both can be read as stand alones).
Highly recommend.
OMGOODNESS!! Claudia grabs another beautiful story between Tucker, Sage and many amazing Supporting characters. I appreciate the genuineness and love and the bumps along their journey.
5 STARS
I’ve been curious about getting a Tucker story and here we are. Tucker and Sage are thrust together, an unconventional way but I think fate brought these two together.Tucker has always been the one to feel like he was taking care of everyone, making sure they’re ok. This story had a lot of heart, emotions, so much up and downs. Tucker and Sage has so much feelings for each other but it was never the right time. But once they were ready for each other, it was meant to be for these two.
I really liked this story by Claudia, it’s such an emotional up and down but it was definitely a good read. The story was a bit confusing at first but once I got in deeper it was smooth sailing. I’m so looking forward to the next one.
Received in exchange for a honest review.
This book starts with a heartbreaking moment and ends so tenderly and beautifully. Claudia Burgoa has a way of bringing books to life and having you live and experience the emotions and moments of her characters.
Here we have the gang of Sinners of Seattle back and now we get Tucker’s story. We see how he ended up in Colorado as other past books alluded to and why he is there. We get to truly see who Tucker is and just melt into a pile of goo because of this sweet, tender man.
Tucker comes off as arrogant in the past. He is protecting himself more than anything. He is fiercely loyal, a amazing man, sweet, loving, tender and protective. Smart and sexy as well. He is there for his friends at all costs. His journey has him learn so much. He learns about family, loss and love. About finding your lobster and learning to begin a relationship from friendship and trust and go from there. About how family is there no matter what even when you take a long time to realize this. I loved reading his point of view. His humour was great and his banter with Sage is great. So is his closeness to his friends. He comes off as cold at the beginning to outsiders but he really is just a big teddy bear. Him with Mae had me melt.
Sage was cold and stayed that way for awhile. You get why but it has you take a while to warm up to her. I didn’t always like how she judged people before knowing them. Take Tucker for instance, when first meeting him she put him in a box and wouldn’t give him the time of day. With him she would constantly jump to conclusions. And she did this until they were forced into situations and she got to see him in his natural environment with his friends. Even after she got to know him she still sometimes drew the wrong conclusion. I love how it is Tucker’s friends and family that welcome her and show her love, loyalty and friendship. They teach her to trust and let people in. Her moments with Mae are tender.
Mae I fell in love with especially as we got to know the snuggle bug through the whiteboard they had telling her milestones. That little girl you just want to cocoon in love and warmth. She has a rough start to life with what happens and root for her.
The romance was a slow burn and full of tension. attraction tension mainly. Tucker never let Sage’s attitude towards him in the beginning deter him from what he wants. We get the book from both Tucker and Sage’s views and it is Tuckers that i love the most. He is so real and honest and him with Mae just turned me into a pile of goo.
A story filled with emotion and love. Will have you needing tissues and smiling. Angry and sad. A beautifully written book about love, family, friends and life.
This story is full of emotions and brilliantly written, with sweet, sexy moments and a story of love and sacrifices.
Sage and Tucker are the guardians of baby Mae, Sage’s niece. And while they go through this journey of co parents, they must deal with the latent attraction between them. Both are afraid of any involvement, as they have experienced terrible things in their past, but over time they learn that they can trust each other.
The moments between little Mae and Tucker are beautiful and the story is wonderful.
I highly recommend the reading.
