When her husband’s push for reform is met with brutal violence, her worlds will collide with a force that will either break her – or the system that brought her to the point of breaking.

Uprising (Tribari Freedom Chronicles #2), my twenty-fifth (193 pages/5-hour 10-minute) read from author Rachel Ford. No matter the genre a Rachel Ford book can be counted on to be entertaining & enjoyable. Now, this is what I expect from a Rachel Ford book, taking off seamlessly from book 1, building speed, and an ending that leaves you panting for the next book. “I received a free review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.” I look forward to Liberation (Tribari Freedom Chronicles #3), the next book in the series. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).
**** SPOILER ALERT ****
I listened to “Uprising: The Tribari Freedom Chronicles, Book 2” via Audible.
Ford delivers another intriguing tale set in the “Tribari” universe with “Uprising: The Tribari Freedom Chronicles, Book 2”
The author continues to world build and develop the characters superbly.
Ford offered some twists and turns as the tale unfolded some joy, but leavened with sadness and betrayal.
I look forward to reading the following books in the series. I encourage you, my fellow readers, to read this book. In any format that you can get your hands on.
I have to commend Ford’s choice of narrator for the audio version of the book. Megan Green turned in another great performance as the narrator.
As a “reader” of audio books for many years, I can assure you that a good narrator is key. Because a not so good narrator can ruin a story for the person listening.
I also have to commend the audio production team, the behind the scenes folks that take the raw audio and turn it into the polished, finished product.
In the interest of transparency: I was given a free review copy of this book and I am voluntarily sharing this review.
It is my own honest opinion.
Nikita was the daughter of a contributor and the wife of a rebel. First her husband loses his job, she finds out she is pregnant and then she loses her mate and her whole world. Now it is her turn to try to change this. Will this formidable person change the tide of the upcoming revolution?
This can be a stand alone book or read as part of the Tribari Freedom Chronicles. This book is based on different characters than the first book.
It is powerful and emotionally charged with dynamic characters that pop off the page and engage you in the story. The storyline is well written and compelling. The narrative gives great description of the scenes, the events and the characters innermost thoughts and motivations. There is detailed descriptions of violence as one would anticipate in a revolution. It is a great book and I can hardly wait until I get a chance to read the next book in the series.
The Revolution Begins!
Engrossing action-packed drama set in Space and a real page turner. The characters are so well written and believable. Great storyline and intriguing descriptions of this world, it’s moons and the culture. Very graphic. Not for the faint of heart. I can’t wait to read more of the series and hope you enjoy it too.
I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
If you enjoy action and adventure in a Space Opera style like I do, then pick up this one and get to reading. I really loved the read and so well you! a story, easy to relate to and become a part of it. You will feel the emotions and at times it will get your heartbeat going faster. I really want to read what happens in the next chapter of the Tribari Freedom Chronicles.
What a ride! This story of revolution was so good! I didn’t want it to end. The characters were so alive and willing to fight and die for what they believed in. Great story.
