A story of survival, humor and true love. And zombies.*****The series is now complete! So Long, Lollipops (Book 1.5 – novella): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ILKGJ6UAnd After (Book 2): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KBWPHA0All the Stars in the Sky (Book 3): http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SW4K268*****Cassie Forrest isn’t surprised to learn that the day she’s decided to get her life together is also the day … decided to get her life together is also the day the world ends. After all, she’s been on a self-imposed losing streak since her survivalist parents died: she’s stopped painting, broken off her engagement to Adrian and dated a real jerk. Rectifying her mistakes has to wait, however, because Cassie and her friends have just enough time to escape Brooklyn for her parents’ cabin before Bornavirus LX turns them into zombies, too.
This is difficult enough, but Cassie’s tag along ex-boyfriend and her friend’s bratty sister have a knack for making everything, even the apocalypse, more unpleasant. When the two attract a threat as deadly as the undead to their safe haven, Cassie’s forced to see how far she’ll go to protect those she loves. And it’s a lot farther than she’d anticipated. This, coupled with Adrian’s distant voice on Safe Zone Radio and, of course, the living dead, threaten to put Cassie right back into the funk she just dragged herself out of.
Survival’s great and all, especially when you have leather armor, good friends and home-brewed beer, but there’s something Cassie must do besides survive: tell Adrian she still loves him. And to do that, Cassie has to find faith that she’s stronger than she thinks, she’s still a crack shot and true love never dies.

I almost gave this book five stars. I was so close! The one thing that stopped me is also a spoiler, so I’ll have to save that until the end. I did ALMOST give extra points since the characters didn’t drive up to a gas station to get gas, though. I hate it when that happens.
I loved the title of this book. I’m notoriously horrible at finding …
A book for people who love post apocalyptic zombie novels…and also for those who don’t. This book is part of a 3 book series (4 if you include the, not necessary to the series, but totally recommended, novella) that I could not put down. Beautifully written with such wonderfully developed characters that I missed them after I finished. I have …
I love Sarah Lyons Fleming’s books! All of them, all the time. This book is perfect for people looking for adventure, zombies, and characters that you grow to love like family.
I LOVED this whole trilogy!! The characters were well developed, and I was engrossed from the start!
wonderful story, well worth the time to read
Series of books that are wonderful!! All about love, friendship and survival!
This is the first book in my absolute favorite series. I have read this book and the series many times, and I rarely re-read books. The author is amazing and interacts with fans.
Loved the series, you can’t just read one book! Roller coaster of emotions in every book!
This is a fantastic post apocalyptic thriller that has amazing characters, lots of action and emotional drama. I really like how the characters coped with the desperate situations, the unreal atrocities and having to do things that they would never otherwise do. Experiencing such a all encompassing shift in the world was life altering, not only in …
The whole series of books are beautifully written. The characters have depth and even though it’s an apocalypse story you find yourself wondering what if there was a lethal pandemic or terrible disaster. Are you prepared?
One of the very best I have ever read.
One of my faves from the zombie lit genre. Relatable characters, thrilling story, and impressive writing.
One of my favorite zombie series of all time!
Truly the best apocalypse book I have ever read. And I have read hundreds of apocalyptic books.
There are 3 books in this series. This is book 1. You definitely need to read them in order. The characters are great. The books in this series drew me in so much that I felt like I was watching a TV show, instead of just reading a book. There were no distracting errors in grammar or timeline. I cried a lot reading this…dropping tears onto …
Another series that is simply amazing. I knew it was a zombie apocalypse type series but it was simply amazing and the characters were amazing and made you root for them. I actually grew to love them and wanted every one to survive and see it to the end of the apocalypse. If you like Walking Dead, you will love this series.
Really enjoyed this book. Couldn’t put it down. Great character development. Underlining romance. Will get the next book in the series to see how this ends.
I wasn’t able to finish this book. I couldn’t seem to get into it.
For female fans of the Walking Dead and zombie apocalypse this is a good choice.
I nearly shed tears over this book. So many moments of happiness, so many moments of sadness. A lot of being angry. So many “but why?!” Moments. I hope some questions are answered once I can read the next few books. Also learned don’t read a zombie book then go to bed. So many horrifying dreams. But I loved the book over all. Would gladly read it …
