(The Santinos -Novella)An unexpected roommate. An unlikely partner. A match made in wine country.Jake Martelli’s busy-body relatives have pulled a fast one. They’ve humiliated the hunky San Francisco sportscaster by buying him in front of a sold-out crowd at the annual Sweetheart’s Auction. The geriatric mod squad own Jake now, and are forcing him to enter their small-town’s cockamamie dance … small-town’s cockamamie dance competition.
So far, they’ve tricked Jake into staying at their Napa Valley guest house with a beautiful woman from his past.
Poor Scarlett Halle has no idea she’s being set up.
The pretty baker with two left feet was only in town for a business deal. When her good friend offered her a free vacation home in wine country, Scarlett didn’t know Jake Martelli would be staying in the same house.
There isn’t much to do in this sleepy town, so when swoony Jake takes her in his arms and asks her to practice dancing with him, how can she say no?
The temporary roommates aren’t looking for partners, but it seems fate, and two quirky matchmakers have other plans.
Will Jake and Scarlett discover a three-minute tango is the dance of a lifetime?
If you enjoy tropes, Two to Tango covers several: Fish Out of Water, Accidental Roommate, Matchmaker, and Second Chance Romance. (Scarlett and Jake met before, years ago and have never forgotten each other.)
.
If you liked the movie The Holiday (Cameron Diaz & Jude Law) and watch Dancing with the Stars, imagine the setting in Napa Valley wine country and this is the story for you!

Two to Tango is a fabulous stand-alone book from a terrific author. It is also connected to the brilliant Love in the Vineyard series and this book features some familiar and loveable characters from other books. Scarlett is trying to buy the Cupcake Bakery and is offered an empty holiday home to use whilst finding investors. Jake is hiding out after being humiliated by his geriatric relatives who are now forcing him to help them out. They find themselves accidentally sharing the same house. There is so much going on in this fabulous book but it all fits perfectly together. There is chemistry, second chances, romance, dancing and the magnificent duo of grandmother Mimi and great aunt Cha-Cha .. they are hilarious, quirky and adorable. I cannot recommend this book highly enough it is simply wonderful,
I love the romantic comedies of Kate Kisset and every book she excels. This time she brought a sensual, light and fun story with the tango beat and with wonderful characters.
Scarlett wants to start over and Jake has to dance with his grandmother. Neither of them imagined they would find love in Jake’s grandma’s cottage.
Since they met at a wedding, they realized they had affinities but could never find the right time to approach. Now that they are temporarily living together, they will realize how truly the chemistry between them is strong.
I really love the moments they are dancing, the moments that Brady appears and especially ChaCha and Mimi.
I loved the cover that is great for the atmosphere of the book.
5/5 stars
I loved this book for the laugh out loud moments. The match making from the geriatric mod squad and so much more.
It’s envitable that Scarlett and Jake get together.
Wait and see.
Another lovely novella by queen of short & romantic reads, Kate Kisset. This is, as is expected, very well written and packs a huge punch for a short read. A beautiful setting, great characters and our favourite meddlesome regulars lend to a story filled with laughs, frustration and sexy sparks!
This was an excellent book in this series. As soon as I started reading, it was a like taking a breath of fresh air. She writes so well, with great storylines. I only wish it had been longer.
4.5 stars.
A fun, sweet and clean read. H and h had a past attraction which they did not act on but with the ‘interference’ of two seniors who crafted the perfect situation, they couldn’t resist it anymore and took the plunge.
The dirty sexy times were implied. 🙂
I really enjoyed this book from sexy Jake Martelli, who was left at the altar, to Scarlett Halle , whose fiance broke up with her. Finally they are both free to be together. Add to that the fun meddling from Chi Chi and Mimi, who have instigated getting Jake and Scarlett together by having them end up sharing a cottage together to having them become tango dance partners in the first ever Summer Solstice Starlight Dance. As Chi Chi and Mimi would say they “all won because love wins.” I would say Kate Kissett won with this book too. Great characters! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Whoo boy…here we go!
Scarlett is looking to purchase a soon to be up for sale bakery in the valley. She wants to remain incognito until she’s more certain she’ll be relocating, so doesn’t want to stay with her family. Jake is at his Nonna and Great Aunt’s beck and call after a bachelor auction purchase. He’s waiting for the mid-summer dance off, where he’ll help his elderly family members take first place, or will he?
How do Jake and Scarlett end up staying at the same place? Is is just coincidence or is there some kind of interference…celestial or perhaps familial?
Two to Tango is an absolutely fun romantic romp…errrr…tango through the vineyards! Once more we’re entertained by Mimi and Cha Cha, Jake’s Nonna and great aunt. Manipulation should be their middles names. They are the BEST. You’ll want to sit down with a glass of wine, some cheese and crackers, and plan on having a nice afternoon.
A very quick and easy read. Enjoy!
Sweetly sexy, emotionally thrilling and heartwarming romantic journey filled with hope and family…. Love the match making mod squad and all their great intentions. This story was no exception loved this quirky, fun and witty romantic adventure in beautiful wine country.
This was a quick and fun read with some sizzling chemistry!
Jake and Scarlett met several years Agustin a wedding and had an instant connection. Unfortunately, they never managed to get together afterwards. Now fate, or the plotting grannies, bring them together.
There was such a delicious slow burning chemistry between Jake and Scarlett! I definitely did not want this story to end!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Have you ever felt like you want to cry, but you can’t help but laugh? You may be experiencing Kate Kisset syndrome. Kisset speaks to hearts with humor, yet never holds back on emotion. Hidden inside the angst and wit are serious issues wrapped in wisdom and laced with hope. Two to Tango keeps the mood light with mischievous matchmakers, clueless targets and boatload of unforgettable characters.
A fun and light-hearted romance, this story takes us back to the Vineyards in Napa Valley, where the conniving geriatric squad once again get up to mischief. This time they have conned Jake and Scarlett into being unsuspecting room-mates, but somehow know just when to drop in for a visit at the most inopportune times. Furthermore, they manage to manoeuver the couple into practicing dance routines for a competition, one that Scarlett has absolutely no intention of participating in. However, spending time together makes the cautious couple more aware of each other than they would have thought, and as they practice their routine, something more than simple attraction starts brewing. The story is humourous with laugh out loud moments but comes to a happy and satisfactory conclusion. I enjoyed this entertaining romance and meeting up with characters from previous books in this series. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I never want Kate Kisset’s stories to end.
She has a knack of keeping my attention until I finish the book.
I loved this story as it contains humor, and romance and was fun to read.
I can’t wait to read more.
I really liked the chemistry between Jake and Scarlett in this small town, second chance romance. I will say I honestly am not a big fan of the meddling aunts/grandmothers in the series, but they seemed less annoying in this book…or maybe I’m just immune to them!
Cupcakes and dancing just add to the fun! Whether you’ve been a fan of the previous books or are new to St Helena, you’ll love Two To Tango
A Second Chance At Love
Jake and Scarlett are reunited at a guest house in wine country after being set up by his relatives. A sweet romance with a little heat. After being set up by the relatives and sharing the same guest house, things get friendlier. Cute characters and an entertaining story that is read as a standalone. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to write a review.
