A riotously funny, emotionally raw New York Times bestselling novel about love, marriage, divorce, family, and the ties that bind—whether we like it or not. The death of Judd Foxman’s father marks the first time that the entire Foxman clan has congregated in years. There is, however, one conspicuous absence: Judd’s wife, Jen, whose affair with his radio- shock-jock boss has recently become … has recently become painfully public. Simultaneously mourning the demise of his father and his marriage, Judd joins his dysfunctional family as they reluctantly sit shiva and spend seven days and nights under the same roof. The week quickly spins out of control as longstanding grudges resurface, secrets are revealed and old passions are reawakened. Then Jen delivers the clincher: she’s pregnant…

Not as funny as I thought it might be, but an interesting family with believable dysfunctions, and little communication, which is usually at the heart of misunderstandings and incorrect assumptions. I did like it.
A fun read.
Did not like this book at all due to crude language & sex scenes. Could not finish it
Not what I thought the book was going to be about. It was just ok.
Loved it. Funny, sad, real. Ending wasn’t what I expected, which I appreciated. There was a lot more to this book, and the characters, than you would think from the description.
I loved the characters in this book. However, I did think the numerous sex scenes were not necessary and did not do anything to advance the story
Loved this book–I laughed and cried–both!
Funny, and interesting family dynamics. Great escape reading.
Hilarious at the outset but with an increasingly dark undertone. Felt right to me.
I liked it a lot BUT I’ve been thru shiva; it was a wonderful memory of his father (tho padded w/ unnecessary sex scenes… apparently authors believe we NEED this )
But the female characters roles were mostly sexual and not just people
Bad language. Always talking about having sex. Seemed to be the only topic.
Absolutely hilarious!
It was introspective and made the reader reconsider how his/her reactions in any given set of circumstances have a rippling effect on those involved.
I did not read this book because it was way to vulgar for me! I was disappointed .
An interesting soul-searching,self-discovery novel with an emphasis on the importance of sexual fulfillment.
This was a great book! It was very entertaining!
Definitely a page turner. Lots of twists.
Loved this book!
I love everything I’ve read of Tropper’s. Love the character development. Story line was great. Funny. I recommend this book!
