This book is short but it is filled with awesomeness. Mages, wyverns, humans, royalty, a great battle with lindworms (an imaginative creation by this author), plus a despairing betrayal. But there is hope still for the future which indicates to me a great series is yet to come. And I can hardly wait to devour it.
An exciting beginning to what promises to be an awesome new fantasy series! I loved the characters, world building, and originality! I can’t wait to read more!
Dragons, Mages and the evil that can turn good to bad, what more could you ask for in a book! Even though this is a quick read you are fully drawn into Gaia’s world and captivated by her and all that is going on around her. You get betrayal, heartbreak, courage and determination while Gaia’s world turns on its axis and leaves you needing to know what happen to everyone. If this novella is anything like how the books are going to be it going to be one epic series!
Love Dragons and Magic? Well you are definitely in the right series and of course this author starts it off with a bang and betrayal of the deepest kind. She had no clue. She felt something was off but how could she have known. The war has been escalated and the casualties are already mounting. This is our introduction to an epic confrontation. This author brings it in full on mode from the first page to the last leaving us hungry for more. This is just a tease and it’s not a standalone, but come on no one wants to confine this author to one book. All this madness must be spread out and dealt with. The layers of betrayal are deep and no one is safe. They must be protected at all cost until the time is right.
Absolutely loved it. Hated that it ended but it was the first deep breath I could take. Full of action and keeping you on your toes as this author does so well. Sit back and enjoy the adventure.
Ah, the wonder that is Gaia. The glory that is Thane. Dragons. Shapeshifting. Mages. Action, betrayal, intrigue, war that is to come. So much is so short a book. LJ Andrews’ The War of Ages: A Dragon Shifter Fantasy (Dragon Mage, Prequel) is s true appetizer to wonderment. Yes, this is s fantastic book, and yes it stands alone quite well – but it does what any good prequel is supposed to do. It has triggered my interest, my desire, for the series to come. This appetizer was wonderfully delicious. One can only guess how delicious the meal, that actual series, will be. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises – the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.
