When she is left all but alone to defend her family’s castle against an army of battle-hardened Viking raiders, nineteen-year-old Princess Aurelie of Donrose fights valiantly but is soon overcome. After her capture by the tall, handsome leader of the northmen, Prince Anders, she is carried away along with the rest of the spoils of conquest.Anders makes it clear to the princess that she is now his … is now his property, to do with as he likes, and he takes pleasure in stripping her bare and putting her on display. When she defies her new master, Aurelie quickly discovers that Anders will not hesitate to spank her soundly, but to her shame the painful, humiliating punishment leaves her deeply aroused.
Bound and helpless yet burning with desire, the princess finds herself longing for the bold, dominant warrior to take her hard and thoroughly, and when she surrenders to his mastery of her body the pleasure is more intense than she would have ever thought possible. Aurelie’s submission to Anders grows more complete with each passing day, but when her brothers arrive with an army to seek vengeance against their old enemy she must make a fateful choice. Will she remain loyal to her family and her people, or come to the aid of her Viking prince?
Publisher’s Note: The Viking’s Conquest includes spankings, sexual scenes and sexual humiliation, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

I have found a new love for the historical kink genre! This story had all the action that the bodice-ripper Medieval romances I used to read have, but it has this extra kick that made everything so much better. I wasn’t surprised since I’m a huge fan of Felicity Brandon, but I still wasn’t sure what to expect. She delivered a magical, sexy, fairy-tale type story that I loved getting lost in. Aurelie was a believable Princess and Prince Anders was the perfect privileged, demanding leader. The story has moments of humiliation, like you would expect from an invading prince, and many sexy scenes, but there are also moments of tenderness and the emotional connection between Anders and Aurelie isn’t skipped over. All in all, I would say this is a fantastic, pleasure-filled read and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one.
Ummm! Hot alpha male viking Prince captures the land and the lady! Anders lays down the law as to his expectations but Princess Aurelie is determined to best him.
But Prince Anders has his ways of dealing with reluctant princesses!
Hot and sexy!
This is a story that will pull you in and keep you captivated till the end. Interesting characters, a great story and lots of chemistry make this a really entertaining read!
This was a great read. Vikings pillage a castle and Prince Anders takes Lady Aurelie as a prize. He is a dominating man and the poor girl don’t know what hit her. The Prince is equally obsessed with his little captive and the fun begins. Lots of spankings and hot steamy scenes and major drama. Totally enjoyed it!
Very intense and riveting. I couldn’t put it down It has surprise twists and turns I recommend this book. Pure enjoyment
A remarkable book. A total page-turner.
A ‘spanking’ hot read
This is very much a spanking/humiliation read, if either of those things would be a ‘no’ for you then please proceed with caution. However if you like a very steamy, erotic romance then this is a pretty decent read. I’ve really enjoyed several other works by this author, so based on author and blurb I decided to give this a try.
I knew that the book would contain a fair amount of spanking, a lot of domination and some very hot sex scenes, I wasn’t too sure what the viking part would entail. To be honest the historical aspect didn’t feel terribly ‘genuine’ but it really didn’t matter. This is a ‘capture/slave’ romance and the setting is very secondary to the ‘action’.
With her father, the King, missing and her brothers off defending their kingdom, Princess Aurelie is the last line of defence in their castle. Whilst fighting the viking invaders, Aurelie is captured and taken as a prize by Prince Anders. Anders treats her as his possession, at times as an object but despite her frequent punishment and almost perpetual humiliation, Aurelie finds his treatment of her both strangely exciting and also arousing.
I enjoyed the story of Aurelie and Anders even though, at times, his treatment made it a little difficult to believe he had feelings for her. However that wasn’t because of poor writing or story telling. I personally struggled with some of the humiliation scenes but that’s ME not the writing/characters/book, I perhaps needed a few more scenes of his gentler side. Their attraction was believable, in fact they had intense chemistry that almost made my kindle melt.
Whilst the story features a LOT of sexual and domination encounters there were some decent sub-plots that added extra depth. There were no dubious or non consent encounters, Aurelie also enjoyed the embarrassing and degrading treatment she was subjected too. I enjoyed the ending and the impact it had on their relationship too.
Who doesn’t love Vikings. I absolutely loved The Viking’s Conquest by Felicity Brandon. The storyline and the characters kept me enthralled throughout the book. The dominant viking prince Anders and the plucky princess Aurelie of Donrose now have a special place in my heart.
This quote sums them up for me “Bound and helpless yet burning with desire, the process finds herself longing for the bold, dominant warrior to take her hard and throughly, and when she surrenders to his mastery of her body the pleasure is more intense than she would have ever thought possible.”
The intrigue, passion and love in this book is what great stories are made of. I devoured this book and I was sorry to see it end. I highly recommend this book to everyone and I cant wait to read the next book in the series.
I’ve followed Felicity Brandon for a while, but this is my first book of hers that I’ve read.
It was different and I enjoyed the internalisera battle that Aurelie had about herself and towards Anders.
I’m looking forward to read the next book in this serie.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This is but the second book by Ms. Brandon that I have read. As with the first, I just cannot believe that anyone can write in such a way as to draw the reader so far into the mind of the heroine that they would feel the torment and beauty of her thoughts.
This is a book about Vikings. And, the action begins immediately with a fierce battle and the capture of princess Aurelie by Prince Anders, a Norse Viking. Once the victorious men and their female prize return to their encampment, Aurelie becomes a captive slave to Anders. She must remember and obey his every order, without delay. Failure to do so results in swift and harsh punishment. As her adjustment to her new circumstance proceeds, we are allowed into Aurelie’s psyche to discern her inner struggles during her sexual awakening. Almost immediately, this young girl becomes aware of her response to Anders discipline, and it embarrasses and confuses her. Through the author’s words, we are allowed to be privy to Aurelie’s innermost thoughts and conflicting emotions as she reacts to her submission and Anders dominance.
Through her skill as a writer, Felicity Brandon was able to magnificently describe her heroine’s feelings and musings during her arousal. For me, this was one long, sensuous exploration of Aurelie as she becomes a woman with her own needs and desires.
Romances about Vikings are always hot. Always. This time is no different. Felicity Brandon’s Vikings, especially Anders, are to die for.
So, Aurelie of Donrose is trying to keep her castle from being overrun by Vikings. In the process, she is almost killed by one of them, but the prince, Anders, steps in and claims her as his prize. He demands that she be taken back to his camp. When there, he tells her that he won’t take anything she won’t consent to, and then comes up with some interesting punishments. But, will Aurelie be able to stand strong as the princess of her kingdom or is Anders just too overpowering?
I love this story. The journey that Aurelie goes on to figure out who she actually is and what she really wants is pretty cool. It can be hard for anyone to figure out what they want and who they are, and under the pressure that Aurelie deals with can make it even harder. I”m sure that there were times when it would have been hard to think at all since Anders was very overwhelming. I love what Felicity Brandon had to write in this story.
I”ve had this on my kindle for awhile and finally decided to read it. I thought it was a very good story but has a bit of darker BDSM details. Aurelie tries to be strong against Anders but will he overpower her and get her to submit to him completely? This is a very well written and very detailed story. I always enjoy books by Ms. Brandon!
I received this book for an honest review. Felicity Brandon has a way of drawing her readers in with her stories and this one will have you wishing for your own Viking!! If you love Viking’s this historical dark romance book is for you. Princess Aurelie is left to defend her family’s castle that is being taken over by Prince Ander and his Viking men. She now finds herself his captive as well as slave. Will she survive this journey of self awareness and surrender to her desires? Will Prince Ander be able to bring her under his domination and control? This story is filled with danger, master/slave situations, consensual elements and loads of twists and turns that you won’t see coming. You will be captivated from the first chapter. This is a must read and I highly recommend this book, can’t wait to find out what happens next.
I thought I was going to read a good story but was disappointed when it turned out to be a BDSM book. I didn’t finish it.
