This is my first time reading this author and what a tale she has weaved in this book! The plot is different and has a lot of action and twists and turns in it. It’s a fast-paced quick read that is pretty good. I can’t say I’m going to want to read it again, but I’ve also read a lot worse. I’d have liked it better if it had been drawn out more, as it does seem rushed at times. But if you want an action packed interesting short story then this is it!

The Stranger is a story about two friends on a road trip from hell. The story is action packed, but I found each character very unsympathetic. The bad guy was VERY evil but also VERY one dimensional. Overall the book felt rushed but never boring.

The Strange Stranger
by Blackbibliophile71
Best friends Evie and Sonya decide to take a road trip before Evie’s wedding. Along the way, they make some new friends, and have a little fun. One night of uninhibited fun turns their girls’ trip into a time of terror, reminding us of why our parents told us not to talk to strangers.
I thought the plot of the book was great, but the book itself seemed a bit rushed. The plot builds, secrets are revealed, but when the climax it reached, the book abruptly ends, leading us to wonder what will happen next.

This was a good read. My attention was held from the the beginning until the end. Sonya and Evie have been best friends for years since college. Sonya decides to take Evie on a trip through the desert, so Sonya can take pictures of the different scenery, plus she wanted them to have a girls trip together since Evie will be getting married to her fiancé Broderick.
When they stop to eat at a roadside cafe, Sonya sees a tall handsome man with eyes that just drew her attraction to him.
Sonya decides to listen to Evie to talk to the stranger and from there the craziness begins.
There are a lot of plot twist and turns that caught me by surprise. I could feel the emotions of the characters of being scared, mad, bewildered while trying to get out of the dangerous situation they were in.
I highly recommend this book to read, especially if you like thriller, mystery and suspense.

Psychos USA!
Wow, what a tale?! Lots of jaw dropping moments. I could see this being turned into a Lifetime Movie. The confession and the outcome weren’t realistic to me, though I was entertained by some elements in the story. In the spirit of everything that happened, I wanted a more bent ending.
