Why did I wait so long to read this?!?! It’s like The Bachelor meets dystopian YA fiction, but in the absolute best way possible. There’s jealousy, competition and friendship among the girls vying for Prince Maxon’s heart. And the blossoming relationship between America and Maxon feels so genuine and sweet.
I liked this book WAY more than I …
I just finished reading the first book in this series. Very easy read. I finished it in 1 day. I do not see a lot of similarities with this book and the Divergent series other than they are grouped by classes. I did like the book however and will continue the series but it is more of the young love stuff than action and fighting for ones …
I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!! I LOVE THE WHOLE SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a great mix of dystopian and caste system! I am so hooked on this group of characters! Fantastic world building.
I am left wanting more.
How have I not read this until now!?
This story was intriguing from the start and it held my attention through the end. It almost has a love triangle going on too which I love.
If dystopian young adult is your thing you will enjoy this story so much! I can’t wait to dive into book 2.
I loved this dystopian-meets-the-bachelor series. America is absolutely lovely, and while I’m team guy-that-doesn’t-get-the-girl, I loved this story (and series) so much. It’s got princess feels on occasion, friendships, there’s even some Hunger Games vibes with the news broadcasts they have going on over the course of the series. This was …
Read the entire series!! Loved them all!!
The Selection is about a young girl, named America. She comes from a higher level cast and her family is often in need of food and water. An amazing opportunity comes to her when the palace of Ilia announces the start if The Selection. that is where the Prince, Maxon Schreve, will get a batch of girls to date, and find a future wife for …
I read this whole book in a day. It was that good. It’s wonderfully written and interested me greatly. It is about a girl named America who lives in the future in a place called “Illea”. She enters herself into a contest to go live in the castle and win the prince’s heart. She makes it in. And, I SHIP IT!
I love revisiting old favorites, and this is such a creative (at the time) combination of the dystopian genre with the reality TV phenomenon, and even a little bit of the Cinderella story. A very brief synopsis: in a post-WWIV world where people are separated into castes based on wealth, privilege, and career opportunities, the royal family hosts …
Very good book. Unique with an amazing main character
I loved this book! I found all of the characters amazing! The book is written beautifully! The selection series has become one of my favorite series! The book was a huge page-turner and really keep me interested from the first page to the last! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
In this book you’ll find that you are in love with the characters! Great plot, romance, and twists!
I finished the entire series in 5 days, each day I read a book from the series and finished it. I just couldn’t stop turning the pages and I refused to go to sleep each night until I finished each book I was on. It was a series that I at first didn’t know I would enjoy, but now I find myself looking for books and series that are similar to this …
I never really thought of myself as a romantic book reading kind of girl but this book is amazing.
I just love these books. They are aimed at younger girls, but I couldn’t stop reading it, no matter what happened. I even had to download the audiobook because I needed to keep reading during my commute.
I’ve read this book so many times that I can’t count it on my fingers. It’s a romantic, page turner series that every teenager girl should read.
Loved it
It was a great balance of everything. This book was fantastic and I would read it again.
Amazing read that always makes you want to read more. I read the first three books of the five book series in four days. If that doesn’t tell if anything I don’t know what will.
