My gravest mistake was falling in love with my husband. It crept up on me so slowly that I didn’t even notice it was happening until it arrived. I assumed he felt the same way every time he kissed me…every time he touched me.Until he proved me wrong.Kamikaze is dead so I don’t need him for protection anymore. Divorce is all I want now. I’ll find a man that will love me the way I deserve, that … the way I deserve, that won’t bring home two strange women just to hurt me.
I don’t need him.
Now it’s time to start over.

I really loved this series. Arwen was an amazing girl. Strong, smart, and refused to put up with something she believed to be truly wrong. Stood against enemies who wanted her dead fearlessly and was the guiding light to a family that was crushed from devastation. Maverick is a lucky man to have a women like her and has amazing qualities once he opened his heart and mind. I’ve loved every one of Penelope’s books and this series did not disappoint.
They just get better and better
I enjoyed this book the characters are interesting. The storyline was not as dark as some of her other books. The storyline is interesting and well developed you can never go wrong with Penelope books.
I really enjoyed this series. It’s not as dark as the others, but it definitely has appeal. The Devilles are like a lot of regular families with dysfunction. A lost love left the dad, Caspian, bitter and alone. This in turn left the children without both parents. Arwen is a strong leading lady. She was left penniless and forced to marry someone she didn’t love. Respect turned to love. Before Maverick knew what was going on he was head over heels. The story played out romantically and had lots of twists and turns along the way. Arwen’s strength pulled an entire family together and gave her and Maverick what they didn’t know they needed…each other. It would be so amazing for Caspian to fall in love again! Also, Lily deserves a happily ever after for herself. She seems to be heading back on track. Well written and lovable characters. Thanks, Penelope! You did it again:)
I absolutely love everything that Penelope Sky writes, because she never disappoints. I would have loved more chapters because the book was over way too fast. I absolutely would love to have another book in this series because I feel like there was some things that were left unfinished. I can’t wait to read the next book series.
After the ending of The Wolf and His Wife, I was so shocked it took me a while to put my thoughts into words.
How would Maverick ever redeem himself? Did he want to? Would Arwen walking away change his mind? Would Arwen still be in danger now she wasn’t living with Maverick? How would she cope on her own?
All of those questions were answered while reading The Lone Wolf. It still took me a while to turn my thoughts into words, as the last few chapters were so sad and sweet, I had tears in my eyes.
“His brown eyes were welcoming like a cup of coffee in the morning, the perfect temperature to chase away the frost”
Thank you Ms. Sky for another fantastic series. I look forward to the next.
I thought that it was a good summary of the story for Maverick and Arwen. I was disappointed that there weren’t many twists and suspense that kept you turning the pages. It was good but I was expecting a little more instead of the characters just slowly coming back together.
Oh Penelope you out do yourself every time. I really loved this series. So Happy for Arwen and Maverick. But best of all I’m so happy Maverick and his father are in good terms. No one wants to kill anyone anymore. Lily is better not in rehab. This really is a very happily ever after.
I truly enjoyed the whole series. I loved both Maverick and Arwens characters and the passion and deep love they had for each other. The story had action and suspense, and just the right amount of heat.
Another great book. It deffrent from her other stories. Great main characters it was great to see how much they changed and there love grow through the series.
I loved this extremely romantic finale to this series. I’m super sad that this series has come to end. They say you don’t realized what you have until it’s gone. Maverick got a dose of his own medicine he did the unthinkable to his wife Arwen. She couldn’t forgive and forget so she left. Now Maverick realize he made a huge mistake. I won’t go into details about the book but I will say that this is not your typical romance novels. But that’s what I loved about it. The struggle they both had to endure more Maverick then Arwen but to see him finally open up truly was amazing. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Yep! Arwen has packed her bags, loaded her car, and is ready to leave.
Maverick is in shock. He thought she would just accept he could mess around with other women when things were getting too committed between them. Nope! She has more self respect than that.
Money is a problem for her. She will not accept more than a few thousand euros from him. Just enough to get her settled. She is walking out with her things and planning to get a second job as a waitress in order to pay her new rent. This is not an ideal situation, but he has really broken her heart.
Now it is up to Maverick to come to realize what his feelings are for Arwen. He has been numb since his mother died, but if he wants Arwen, he must change and snap out of this shell he has built around himself.
All I can say is I love when an ALPHA man grovels!
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.
I loved this extremely romantic finale to the Wolf series. Arwen stood her ground with Maverick’s infedelity and became a better woman. Arwen moves on: new man, new job, new life. She’s making sure she gets herself a man who will devote himself to only her and love her the way she deserves. You’re definitely going to want to read how everything works out. Especially with Penelope Sky’s flair for the dramatic.
This book is the final book in this series. It is one that answers questions and gives you hope for the best out come for the characters. It will not be an easy journey.
Maverick and Arwen hurt each other so much, so deeply. Is it too much to find the love they felt and move forward? Will love be enough to heal and forgive? Conquer all? What about Caspian? Will he get his wish? Is a HEA possible? You will have to check out this series and see for yourself! A highly recommended read! I love these characters and their story. I was ready to throw my kindle a time or two with their antics. I had to know the outcome so I read this book in one sitting! Looking forward to more from this author! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book.
What a story Penelope Sky delivers. This picks up right where The Wolf and His Wife left off. Maverick did the unthinkable to Arwen. She could not forgive or forget. He was afraid of Arwen’s feelings and his own. So he sabotaged their relationship. But then he realized what a mistake he made. But Arwen, being the strong-willed person she is, did not just accept Maverick’s apology. I loved how these two rediscovered each other. I loved how the role of Caspian played out. This is yet another great trilogy from Ms. Sky. And the heat factor never disappoints.
This book has it all…lovers in crisis, a father devastated by loss, and the woman trying to bring them all together. Penelope hits all the emotions and somehow brings the characters back from the brink. Love this series!
Penelope has done an amazing job with this series. This last book in the installment had me in all kinds of emotions. The realistic issues of what her father in law goes through with heart ache, depression and anger. Arwen and Maverick are what couples dream of with going through such diversity and come out stronger than ever.
I absolutely loved this last story! I am so glad their love story turned out the way it did. I love the turn of events and change of feelings. It kept me wanting and needing to read more. Maverick is a man of his word and a strong character. Arwen is just what he needs to balance him out. The two make the best storyline.
Penelope Sky did it again! I haven’t read a book I disliked! She is brilliant, I’m so sad to see this series end I feel like the this series was short I wish she did a longer series like her first book. Anything she writes I will read she has me as a customer forever.
At the end of the last book, Maverick and Arwen were over. Divorce was imminent and hatred had begun. I hated Maverick for putting her through this and would have slapped him myself if I could. But can love conquer all? Will Maverick be able to redeem himself and win the love of Arwen? Does he even love her? Will Caspian kill her and put them both out of their misery? All of these questions will be answered in a complete emotional and sometime scary storyline. Once again Penelope Sky takes the reader on a roller coaster ride that I personally never want to get off of. Loved this series and cannot wait for the next masterpiece.
