Ken Follett’s The Key to Rebecca took readers and critics by storm when first published forty years ago. Today, it remains one of the best espionage novels ever written. A brilliant and ruthless Nazi master agent is on the loose in Cairo. His mission is to send Rommel’s advancing army the secrets that will unlock the city’s doors. In all of Cairo, only two people can stop him. One is a … him. One is a down-on-his-luck English officer no one will listen to. The other is a vulnerable young Jewish girl. . . .

Classic Follett. Excellent.
Always like Ken Follett
Terrific read.. I read it several years and have read it again recently..
Good read. Typical Ken Follett.
This is vintage Ken Follett, a little formulaic, but an entertaining read.
Great story. Well written.
He writes a good story.
Wonderful story about a part of WW II that not many of us even think about – Rommel and the war in Africa against the British
Very well written and believable. Interesting historically regarding Egypt
Great plot
A very enjoyable book of fiction based on fact.
Loved it
A spy novel unlike any spy novel I’ve ever read. Fascinating, historical and again leading me to a different understanding of an era. The decisions and choices of each person are not only fascinating but lead to the outcome of the story, and as told, affect the outcome of the war in the desert during WW II.
Ken Follett is a master of character development and fast-paced action. It is hard to put any of his books down. The story was very realistic, but the characters were typically unpredictable. This combination keeps you from laying the book down for a minute.
This book is historical fiction written about World War II in Egypt. It was a good book informative and well written.
