It’s the end of the world, and evil zombies have taken over! Try convincing Malchus of that when he can understand and communicate with them… who has a unique ability to communicate with zombies. They speak, he listens! He attempts to share this knowledge with his fellow survivors only to be shunned by them. Malchus may have bitten off more than he can chew. At least, that is how he feels when he tries to unite zombies and survivors in harmony.
Follow Malchus on his journey as he teams up with some rather unique friends and they embark on his mission. Will he succeed, or will he die trying?
The Journey of Malchus: The Zombie Whisperer Chronicles is a different take on the world of zombies and survivors. It’s a post-apocalyptic world being compared to Dark Tower and World War Z.

An enjoyable and different take on the zombie genre. Looking forward to more from this talented multigenre author.
3.5 stars equals good to me. This second book is better than the first and probably the third will be even better. Malchus’ life is a strange one yet so are the other zombie tribes. Yes, plural which means this got interesting quick. I love strange!
Zombies galore. This is a very interesting take on a zombie apocalypses series. Very unique. There is more than one type of zombie. Also some are quite intelligent. Great plot and fantastic characters. My favorite has to be Lily. She is fun, scary and crazy. It’s well written and will keep your attention the entire time. No sexual content but has a good amount of zombies and what they eat. I recommend it for teens and up. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Book One of the Zombie Whisperer Chronicles
How does one man convince the world that his way of thinking is the right way?
The Journey of Malchus is set within several post-apocalyptic settlements with different types of tribes, with different kinds of roaming zombies.
The whole world is thrown into chaos as zombies take over and survivors are left to fend for themselves. All they know is that zombies bite and make more zombies. To them, it’s shoot to kill and survive.
Not so to Malchus Dalton, he’s a hybrid, who has not turned even when bitten but thought crazy because of his unique ability to communicate with all kinds of zombies. They speak, and he can communicate with them. He attempts to share this knowledge with his fellow Lifers only to be shunned by them.
Malchus may have bitten off more than he can chew. At least, that is how he feels when he tries to unite the Dusters and Lifers in harmony. Throughout the book we follow Malchus on his journey as he teams up with some rather unique friends. Lilly, a 12-year-old bad ass killer that looks like a Lifer but eats like a Duster. Mandy, an ex-girlfriend that is newly changed into a Duster/Night Prowler mix. Patricia, who is thrown out pregnant from the Skull Clan. Can this group succeed on Malchus’ mission, or will they die trying?
Ok I know it’s a zombie apocalypse story, but it made me feel so good. I loved loved loved it! It’s a fresh and easy read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Chandra breathes new life into the world of zombies by creating a hierarchy of sorts. There’s the Wild Ones that are the mindless, typical zombie, living people referred to as Lifers, Dusters that talk garbled but interact with other Dusters, the Night Prowlers that deadly and only come out at night. Then there’s Malchus, a guy that has been dubbed crazy and living the life of an outcast because he can talk to zombies and understand them. Life on the road is difficult but he discovers he has more in common with the dead than the living as he makes it a personal quest to bring the living and the dead together, to live in peace. There’s plenty action, suspense, and humor that will keep you turning the pages just to see what happens next. I highly recommend this one!
Absolutely AMAZING! I don’t think I have ever got so worked up about a book before. My emotions were so into the characters and the situations as I read them, that I felt like I was actually in the book!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
You don’t want to miss this!!!
OMG! I love LOVE zombie books, movies, anything zombie related, this book was no exception. Chandra vividly describes each aspect of this book like you’re actually living in the book, zombies and all!
The zombies seemed really realistic! It was so realistic it gave me nightmares! But it was great because it inspired a story in me!
YOU HAVE GOT TO READ THIS BOOK! ESPECIALLY IF YOU LOVE ZOMBIES!
I really enjoyed this different take on Zombies. The author did a great job at unique characters and storyline. Really hoping for the story to continue.

This was great. A completely different take on the zombie genre. It has humor and laughs, and scary times too. I loved the storyline, and the characters. They were unique, and loveable for some. Others were hateful you wanted to get rid of. All to make a better story. I felt I was in the world with the survivors and the zombies and you are never sure if you can trust. A must read if you love zombie books!!
I don’t like zombie movies, but once I picked this up I couldn’t put it down. I feel in love with Lilly with her upbeat heart and love for funny. This is something I would read again
Okay. I’m not normally a fan of zombies, but I thought I would give this book a crack. Elements of the book made me cringe and was everything I hate about zombies. The story is well thought out, and the author has given some thought to how this story is anything but your standard zombie story. The ending is an unexpected shocker!
