From the author of the New York Times and USA Today bestselling novel, THE ALICE NETWORK, comes another fascinating historical novel about a battle-haunted English journalist and a Russian female bomber pilot who join forces to track the Huntress, a Nazi war criminal gone to ground in America.
In the aftermath of war, the hunter becomes the hunted…
Bold and fearless, Nina Markova always dreamed of flying. When the Nazis attack the Soviet Union, she risks everything to join the legendary Night Witches, an all-female night bomber regiment wreaking havoc on the invading Germans. When she is stranded behind enemy lines, Nina becomes the prey of a lethal Nazi murderess known as the Huntress, and only Nina’s bravery and cunning will keep her alive.
Transformed by the horrors he witnessed from Omaha Beach to the Nuremberg Trials, British war correspondent Ian Graham has become a Nazi hunter. Yet one target eludes him: a vicious predator known as the Huntress. To find her, the fierce, disciplined investigator joins forces with the only witness to escape the Huntress alive: the brazen, cocksure Nina. But a shared secret could derail their mission unless Ian and Nina force themselves to confront it.
Growing up in post-war Boston, seventeen-year-old Jordan McBride is determined to become a photographer. When her long-widowed father unexpectedly comes homes with a new fiancée, Jordan is thrilled. But there is something disconcerting about the soft-spoken German widow. Certain that danger is lurking, Jordan begins to delve into her new stepmother’s past—only to discover that there are mysteries buried deep in her family . . . secrets that may threaten all Jordan holds dear.
In this immersive, heart-wrenching story, Kate Quinn illuminates the consequences of war on individual lives, and the price we pay to seek justice and truth.

Get it read it I couldn’t put it down! So much depth and I loved the historical overview and how genuine all the characters were.

Really really enjoyed this story.
Couldn’t stop listening
I loved this audio book. It was well written and the narrator was amazing. The book kept me interested through out the entire book. It was very hard to put down.
Excellent story and well narrated, including many differing accents. I listened to the entire book while walking and it kept me enthralled and moving.
Reader was very good, accents were fun to listen to, very easy to tell the characters apart. Storyline was very interesting and kept me excited to get back to listening!!
Great book/audiobook. The narrator did a wonderful job. The story had me hooked from the start. Not a big suspense story, but riveting nonetheless. Highly recommend.
I really enjoyed this book. It was different from what I was expecting but I wasn’t disappointed. I was pleasantly surprised and it makes me want to see the Holocaust museum in D.C.
This book was a great listen. Well written and well performed. I listened as walking and didn’t want to stop. And interesting learnings too.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Not the usual type I read, but was very pleasantly surprised! The reader did an amazing job!
For fans of historical fiction, this book is a must-read. For everyone else, it’s still a must-read. Yes, it’s that good.
I wish I could give this book more than five stars. Lyrical writing combined with intriguing characters that are impossible to forget well after the story is done. A well-crafted mystery that draws you easily into the past and the tragedies that came out of the war, on all sides. I’ve read many WWII books but this one is, by far, the best one I’ve read yet. I can’t recommend this book highly enough.
Loved it! From the author of The Alice Network (which I now want to read). Told from multiple viewpoints and moving back-and-forth between decades. If you like historical mainstream fiction, don’t miss this one.
I dove head over heels into The Huntress and after a few chapters of getting acquainted with the characters and their journey, I was seamlessly immersed and eagerly looking for holes in my day where I could sneak off and read a few chapters. The story was well balanced between time periods and characters and I equally welcomed each chapter from the three different character’s points of view. I have a feeling this book will stay with me for awhile, playing through my mind, and in the end, I know that is a testament to the superior crafting of The Huntress.
I **really** enjoyed The Huntress. I haven’t been reading a ton of historical fiction recently, but The Huntress is making me think I need to pick up this genre much more frequently!
At the forefront, Quinn tells the story of a Nazi war criminal and the team that seeks to bring her to justice. But the mastery of this story is the way that Quinn develops each character’s story line — the female Soviet fighter pilot who flees the depths of Siberia to be at the front lines of WW2. The esteemed war journalist who struggles with a PTSD he doesn’t feel he’s earned. The young woman torn between choosing a conventional and adventure-filled life for herself in 1950s Boston. Quinn introduces us to their pasts slowly, so that we gradually become attached to each person and their stories, making their final collision so anticipated and satisfying.
On a separate note, I was totally enthralled by the “Night Witches” — the elite, all-female regiments of Soviet female fighter pilots. I couldn’t get enough of their stories, supplementing the huntress with lots of google searches about the real-life Marina Raskova.
If any of this sounds of interest to you, pick this book up ASAP!

A thoroughly immersive page-turner, The Huntress captures readers from the first page, leading them on an explosive journey that shines a spotlight on the horrors of war and the legacy it leaves for those who survive. Impeccably written, richly detailed, tautly paced, and filled with compelling and intricate characters, Quinn’s novel is both poignant and thrilling. This book will take hold of you and will stay with you long after you have finished. You don’t just read a Kate Quinn novel, you live it.
