“Every experience God gives us . . . is the perfect preparation for the future only He can see.”–Corrie ten BoomCorrie ten Boom was a Dutch watchmaker who became a heroine of the Resistance, a survivor of Hitler’s concentration camps, and one of the most remarkable evangelists of the twentieth century. In World War II she and her family risked their lives to help Jews and underground workers … underground workers escape from the Nazis, and for their work they were tested in the infamous Nazi death camps. Only Corrie among her family survived to tell the story of how faith ultimately triumphs over evil.
Here is the riveting account of how Corrie and her family were able to save many of God’s chosen people. For 35 years millions have seen that there is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still. Now The Hiding Place, repackaged for a new generation of readers, continues to declare that God’s love will overcome, heal, and restore.
“A groundbreaking book that shines a clear light on one of the darkest moments of history.”–Philip Yancey, author, The Jesus I Never Knew
“Ten Boom’s classic is even more relevant to the present hour than at the time of its writing. We . . . need to be inspired afresh by the courage manifested by her family.”–Jack W. Hayford, president, International Foursquare Church; chancellor, The King’s College and Seminary
“The Hiding Place is a classic that begs revisiting. Corrie ten Boom lived the deeper life with God. Her gripping story of love in action will challenge and inspire you!”–Joyce Meyer, best-selling author and Bible teacher

This true story of being in Germany during the holocaust as a prisoner tells what it was like from the viewpoint of the author, Corrie ten Boom. As a Christian who was arrested for hiding Jews in her family home, she lets us know how she was protected by God and kept alive for His purpose during W.W. II. Worth reading.
Will hSAelp you realize how easy our Christian life is here in the U.S.A.
I have read this book more than once. A really good and thought provoking book.
Wonderful. Haunting. Hopeful. Read it!
True-life story about a Dutch family which shelters Jews during the war. Then they get caught by the Germans…
Corrie Ten Boom is one of my heroes. Her book, The Hiding Place, is based on her life. She was a watchmaker who became a spy during WWII. She hid Jews and saved many lives until the Nazi’s captured her and threw her in a concentration camp. Her story reveals God’s power at work in and around us even today. And her story of survival and forgiveness is awe-inspiring. The Hiding Place is a must read.
One of my favorite books of all time! To read about the atrocities these people endured and never lost hope or their faith. I wish it was a requirement in our schools as so many young people are not taught about the Holocaust.
A great biographical story that has become a classic. Corrie ten Boom and her sister decide to hide Jews from the Nazis during World War II and are eventually caught. It’s very hard to even comprehend the horrors of the death camps during the holocaust, but as these Christian sisters look to God for strength they lead others to hope.
Life changing
History always repeats itself..anything by Corrie Ten Boom is God ordained
This tells about how God helped her make it through her hard times.
This true story will forever remind you to thank and praise God no matter what your circumstances are. She is amazing.
I read this book years ago and after visiting thr TenBoom house, I felt I needed to read it again with new eyes.
Tragic true story
Reading The Hiding Place is truly an experience everyone should have in their lifetime. If you’re looking for a personal account of the crazy times during WWII, and not just historical fiction, I would highly recommend this book.

This inspirational story should be read by everyone.
Really gives the reader an idea of what happened during the Holocaust and how some people responded in a difficult situation
What a difference a biblical world view can make in the face of tragic circumstances. Great story of courage, faith, and innocence. Must read for those who are seeking cultural literacy.
One of my top ten of all-time.
