“Every experience God gives us . . . is the perfect preparation for the future only He can see.”–Corrie ten BoomCorrie ten Boom was a Dutch watchmaker who became a heroine of the Resistance, a survivor of Hitler’s concentration camps, and one of the most remarkable evangelists of the twentieth century. In World War II she and her family risked their lives to help Jews and underground workers … underground workers escape from the Nazis, and for their work they were tested in the infamous Nazi death camps. Only Corrie among her family survived to tell the story of how faith ultimately triumphs over evil.
Here is the riveting account of how Corrie and her family were able to save many of God’s chosen people. For 35 years millions have seen that there is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still. Now The Hiding Place, repackaged for a new generation of readers, continues to declare that God’s love will overcome, heal, and restore.
“A groundbreaking book that shines a clear light on one of the darkest moments of history.”–Philip Yancey, author, The Jesus I Never Knew
“Ten Boom’s classic is even more relevant to the present hour than at the time of its writing. We . . . need to be inspired afresh by the courage manifested by her family.”–Jack W. Hayford, president, International Foursquare Church; chancellor, The King’s College and Seminary
“The Hiding Place is a classic that begs revisiting. Corrie ten Boom lived the deeper life with God. Her gripping story of love in action will challenge and inspire you!”–Joyce Meyer, best-selling author and Bible teacher

I can only say two words… NEVER FORGET.
Excellent book; hard to read the truth sometimes
The Hiding Place is a real test of faith and forgiveness.
I’ve read this several times. Each time I get more out of it! A must read.
Awesome true story about the Nazi Blitzkreig.
I must read so no one forgets what happened and the ability for faith to see a person through anything and to forgive
An amazing, inspiring and heartbreaking story of faith.
Amazing story
What a book! Tells Corrie’s story of how she and her family came to help the Jews during WWII. So inspirational and well written.
An amazing true story of good triumphing over evil, love over hate and faith in the face of despair. Highly recommend this inspiring true story of love and sacrifice in the face of overwhelming evil.
Truly awe inspiring.
A true story and filled with faith and commitment to caring for those in desperate need. of help. I have read this book before, years ago, but it is so inspiring that I was happy to re-read it. A five star for sure.
Excellent book
I have read & listened to Corrie’s story by other authors. In my opinion this is the best. It never gets old or out dated.
The love, grace and mercy that is written about in this book will change your life and make you want to be a better person.
This book is wonderful and a true story of Jews hiding during German Occupation. It is uplifting too, showing the risks that were taken and the goodness of man in an Evil World.
When you think the problems you have are big problems. This book made me realize even though I have struggles. My struggles are comforts compared to Ten Boom back in her days. Yet I complain and why?
I highly recommend this book. It is a wonderful retelling of how God’s love can help us endure the darkest valleys. There are parts of this book that I have returned to many times for the encouragement and wisdom it brings.
Unbelievable what went on during that time- just heartbreaking. This book was incredibly real but exceptionally inspiring.
“The Hiding Place” captured my attention from the first page to the last. Corrie ten Boom’s retelling of the injustice and horror of the Nazis to not only the Jews but to anyone who helped them and to so many others, is a vivid reminder of the reality of the war. Her book, however, is also a beautiful example of forgiveness that we can all learn from.
I liked this book so well that I am re-reading it, and I bought two copies for friends.
