“Every experience God gives us . . . is the perfect preparation for the future only He can see.”–Corrie ten BoomCorrie ten Boom was a Dutch watchmaker who became a heroine of the Resistance, a survivor of Hitler’s concentration camps, and one of the most remarkable evangelists of the twentieth century. In World War II she and her family risked their lives to help Jews and underground workers … underground workers escape from the Nazis, and for their work they were tested in the infamous Nazi death camps. Only Corrie among her family survived to tell the story of how faith ultimately triumphs over evil.
Here is the riveting account of how Corrie and her family were able to save many of God’s chosen people. For 35 years millions have seen that there is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still. Now The Hiding Place, repackaged for a new generation of readers, continues to declare that God’s love will overcome, heal, and restore.
“A groundbreaking book that shines a clear light on one of the darkest moments of history.”–Philip Yancey, author, The Jesus I Never Knew
“Ten Boom’s classic is even more relevant to the present hour than at the time of its writing. We . . . need to be inspired afresh by the courage manifested by her family.”–Jack W. Hayford, president, International Foursquare Church; chancellor, The King’s College and Seminary
“The Hiding Place is a classic that begs revisiting. Corrie ten Boom lived the deeper life with God. Her gripping story of love in action will challenge and inspire you!”–Joyce Meyer, best-selling author and Bible teacher

A great book of one family’s courage in the face of evil. Everyone should read this to ensure that another Holocaust never happens.
Gives true onsite to Natzie Germany and it’s treatment of the prisoners of war and Corrie Ten Boon’s faith in God helped her survive
I have read this book several times. My 7th grader is reading it now for school. If you are not too sensitive, I highly recommend it.
God can do amazing things even under the worst of circumstances. God loves imperfect people. Even, people that we think we should hate. Its God’s amazing grace that even allows Him to love us, imperfect as we all are.
a great book on the impact of the Holocaust on a family and their community as well as treatment and conditions in a concentration camp. Very faith driven true story of survival and the hard steps to move forward.
Corrie’s story is one of faith in the face of evil. Her story of being born into a family of strong faith is a testament to that faith when they are forced to make a decision which will mean heart ache and sorrow for all of them. The story of Corrie’s experience when jailed by the Germans and later moved into the concentration camp, Ravensbruck, is a truthful account of what it was to live and survive these WWII horrors. Particularly touching and haunting is the relationship between Corrie, her sister, Betsie and their father, Casper Ten Boom.
Very good book, a true story about the holocaust, excellent!
I read this book when it first came out decades ago. Parts of it still lingers in me. Today, antisemitism, hatred of innocent people is still around. Iran and its neighbors wants to annihilate Israel. Corrie ten Boom did a good job of describing the Nazis without hate.
I loved this book
From the very first page I knew these characters were moving to say the least. This story of a family “not Jewish” but kind hearted and God loving people who live in the war zone during ww2. The begin helping people and form an underground railroad, that helps hundreds of people to get out of nazi Germany. Filled with little sayings and ideas that strengthen faith in God for the character and the reader.as well. Never knowing what the future may hold is so hard for all of these characters, but they never give up trying!!!
Wonderful, simple telling of a complex story. Everyone should read this, especially younger people who are beginning to doubt the Holocaust ever took place. Every Christian should read this as a faith building exercise.
what it really means to be a christian and walk the walk
This should be a must read for everyone.
This book is so well written, the story is gripping as it’s about a family that tries to help others and keeps their faith during the most trying times.
What a heart wrenching story. Shows the strength of character in one trusting God completely.
Emotional historical account of God’s love and faithfulness in Corrie TenBoom life story helping to save Jews in WWII and surviving the Nazi concentration camps. Unforgettable read!
It’s a true story of her life during WW2 and her time in the consecration camps.
I read this book twice. I recommend it to everyone.
Really opened my eyes to what happened at that time to the Jews.
I read this book as a little girl, and have never forgotten it. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know the truth about Germany and the Jewish people during WWII.
