It started with the insects. The mass die-offs had been a warning unheeded. Her job fixing the machinery in the Arc makes her aware of how close everything is to breaking down. The Girl Who Found the Sun
By Matthew S. Cox
5 out of 5 stars
The story The Girl Who Found the Sun by Matthew S. Cox is a post-apocalyptic/science fiction book that had me hooked from the first chapter and didn’t let me go until I had read the final page. The author has created a story that had me wondering what if and what would I do in the same situation. The storyline is amazing as well as the characters. You are taken to an underground refuge that is safe from the dangers on the surface. There are many challenges that this group face. One of them is that the machinery keeps breaking down and is close to collapse. Raven Wilder does her best to keep things running. She is intelligent, strong, independent, and is determined to make sure that her child will survive. She is someone who asks questions. She is dismissed by those in charge. What does the future hold for Raven and her child? Will she find a solution to the problems in the refuge before it claims her child? Read this book to find out. This is a story that had me wondering what was going to happen next. I grew to care about what happened to Raven, her child, and the others in the refuge with every chapter that I read. The book pays attention to detail and I felt like I was right there with the characters. Don’t miss out on reading this story. I highly recommend it.

Raven has been on the ARK as the Earth was dying off . Her and a small group found the shelter and time is slowly starting to run out for them . They will suffocate if the machinery start to fail . When her daughter shows signs of oxygen deprivation Raven will do anything to get her daughter safe . Even if it is breaking every rule in the Ark .
This story what can i say about them , they are well written and complex . Raven is a character that will have you cheering for her and also crying for her a few times . She is one that will stick to the rules until there is something to fight for and her daughter is the reason for her to start fighting. She is strong willed and intelligent and will ask the tough questions . I truly like her and her willingness to do whatever it takes to keep her daughter safe . I must say there are a lot of characters in this story that are all so well written .
The author takes us on an adventure in this book and you are on the edge of your seat most of the way through the book. I tried really hard to put this book down to do stuff but I just couldn’t the characters had me hooked and the story line had me sucked in from the beginning . Like all this authors work there are so many twists and turns you will have your mind blown most of the time . I truly liked this book and would love to see another book in the series so that I can keep up with Raven and everyone . Yes i got invested in the characters and loved every second of it . So if you want a story that will have you on the edge of your seat and have you thinking of what if that ever happened . Check out the book you will not be disappointed
This author is great at keeping you hooked on the story. Raven lives in the ark an underground post apocalyptic bunker built for 2000 people. As the only living humans they must live poorly . Raven fixes the machines when they break down. They are breaking down more often than her daughter gets sick and she is asked to do the unthinkable go outside but her father did it . The things she discovers and sees are astonishing. A must read.
The girl who found the sun is a creative story with vivid details that had my mind whirling thinking what if? Raven is a complex flawed but realistic character. She’s independent strong intelligent and will do what ever is necessary to keep her daughter as well as everyone else alive. I loved Tinsley, she gave me hope that everything would be ok
A great post apocalyptic book. Raven is an engineer who has to fix the machines that aids them to live underground in something that is called the ark. Until something happens where Raven has to go above ground. My only criticism at times it was long winded and drawn out. A good read.
I was fascinated by Raven’s world and all that was revealed to her along the way of her story. This book grabbed my attention and kept me riveted. It also serves as a good message to humanity: Pay attention and be good stewards.
