The rules of Paradise are simple:Everyone must work. Everyone must contribute. If you leave, you may never come back. Paradise is the new world, to question that is to question the law. They have been drilled into us since the world ended and those bunker doors shut.So why can’t I stop dreaming of more? With my eighteenth birthday and the selection approaching, I must decide what role I will take … approaching, I must decide what role I will take within our community. But when I am betrayed by the very people I was brought up to trust and left for dead in The Wasteland this world has become, I decide to leave for good. Decide to leave the only man I’ve ever loved and the only home I’ve ever known.
Everyday will be a fight for survival, but for once in my life, I finally feel free…if only my heart would accept that.
18+ Reverse Harem Romance. Warning this book contains scenes and references of abuse/assault that some readers may find triggering. Along with graphic sex scenes and violence

I looooooved this book! This author never disappoint. She brings kicka** MC’s and complicated hot alpha dudes. I also love that it’s not all cupcake and roses. It’s hard, gritty and panty melting. Now I have two new BFF’s, Worth and Piper. Hopefully they’ll meet some day.
If you haven’t read Wasteland and The Summit, then hurry up and check out the series that came before this book. I promise you won’t regret it.
I Give this Book a 3.5/5 Star Rating, Listing as 3 cause there are more 3.5’s.
Cliffhanger(?): Yes
Relationship Type: RH > Reverse Harem
Heat : 3-3.5/5
Dark(?): I’m a Avid Dark reader so my rating will be different from others. 2-2.5/5
Romance: 2.5-3ish(?)/5, it’s building :), I’d say it’s more Affection but that’s just me.
Drama: 3.5/5
Suspense: 3.5/5
Pacing: Mid-Mid Fast
This was a pretty decent book, won’t give spoilers. But everything kinda felt short, like with the titles each chapter, I felt like I was almost encountering episodes instead, cause that’s actually how I kinda pictured them too.
Jumping into the next book.
I don’t think it’s possible for me to love this book more! I loved loved loved it so hard. As usual, I am leaving the cliffhanger warning here, and there are some exceptionally violent scenes with triggers. This is in no way a criticism, as it would be impossible to portray the atmosphere of the author’s world without violence.
Now, that’s out of the way, let me tell you how amazing Piper is! Piper is seriously the most serious competition for Taz, as she is equally amazing, strong, warrior, progressive, independent, determined, and nothing keeps her down. Obviously, no one has lived and survived through the hell Taz has been through, but Piper has the same strong spirit, and has survived her own share of horrors.
She comes from the isolated place of Paradise that we had a pleasure, or lack there of, to be introduced in the previous book. As the timeline goes, this story occurs sometime during the end of the first book (The Wasteland) and throughout the second book (The Summit). So back to Paradise, which is a disgusting cradle of misogyny and not in the cave man way of Wastes, where brawl conquers all, but in the old man rule way, where women have no rights whatsoever. I will not say any more on this topic and let the readers figure out the beauties of antiquated oppressive society.
Did I already mention how amazing Piper is? Well she decided to go break some glass ceilings and apply for a “man’s” job. Let’s just say that her best friend is indoctrinated enough to not give her any support whatsoever. And guess what, he is the sleazebag doctor from the previous book. He never grew on me. Fortunately, there are a couple of people outside of this horrible place who give Piper all the support and love that she needs. And she thrives and grows and evolves into a warrior that can rival Taz. And those two people, who I shall not name and let the readers discover them slowly, are equally fabulous as Dray. Dray rocks.
I am so loving this book, this series, and all of the characters, even the bad ones, because the author is a master of making realistic, well-rounded characters any reader can love or hate or adore or whatever, but they are so alive and present and evolving and amazing, they make the reader feel. A lot. The author is also a master of building and expanding her world, as well as creating the atmosphere of dread, horror, and violence. Fortunately, the author is a master of conveying all kinds of hot and steamy stuff, to make your heart stop. So overall, this is one of the best series out there and this book is a fantastic addition to it.
Books are best read in order, which is: The Wasteland (Their Champion Book 1), The Summit (Their Champion Book 2), The Forgotten (Their Champion Companion Novel 1), The Cities (Their Champion Book 3), and The Lost (Their Champion Companion Novel 2).
5 Amazing Stars!
What a wild ride! K.A. Knight never disappoints! The whole Their Champion series…and this companion series book in particular is absolutely amazing. Full of angst, suspense, revenge, heartbreak, twists & turns, and heat ! SO GOOD!!! It grabs your attention and interest from the first page. The characters and storyline was fascinating. Katie has really outdone herself! Bravo!
I absolutely enjoyed this book! Favorite of K.A. Knight’s so far (as I am slowly going through her backlog haha). I couldn’t get enough of Piper, I think she totally became one of my favorite MCs of any RH book. I thought she was fierce, funny, incorrigible haha and had a vulnerability and light that made me want to know more. I honestly couldn’t put this book down and am so excited for book 2 coming in February!!!
So let’s talk about Piper’s guys. Now that I put some pieces together, I can see her 3 being one of my favorite tandems in all RH. I think they provide what she needs and they are so different it makes it even more intriguing. I thought I would love Evan the best, but Archel I think took the cake in this one. Jago is a close second. I think I loved Evan when he was in Worth’s story but seeing his sorta prequel, I definitely want to slap him upside the head. For Jago, that big mountain of a man was super adorable in his vulnerable moments. What a dip though when he got mad and let her go out where she shouldn’t have been. I don’t blame him for what happened but he definitely needs to grow up and mature. I wouldn’t have been so welcoming if I were Piper when they reunite. Oh and Archel…..daaaaang. I don’t normally go for the dark, mysterious, sexy one, usually I go for the nerdier one so Evan in this case. His words and actions hit me right in the feels and made me swoon more times than I can count. Love them all so much, but Archel especially
Overall, the storyline was really engaging, made me connect with Piper and roll my eyes at her all at the same time haha. I loved the dynamics and cannot wait for the Captain to get what’s coming to them. Oh and I totally didn’t squeal and laugh maniacally when Eel got his comeuppance hahaha. I thought the training was cool from both Paradise and the Forgotten’s place, and the side characters really elevate this story. I hope to read more about them as the War becomes more prevalent and reaches them. I thought Piper did some major butt-kicking and will be awesome alongside Worth one day. Love, love, love this book. Highly recommend. One of my top 10 favorite RH reads of 2019
Amazing as always
I loved these books so much. At first I was miffed that a sub series was starting before the first was finished but I now need more of both. Archel has stolen my heart just like Dray. I can’t wait for more of this story.
I absolutely adore Pipers character. She is such a strong take no crap female with just the right amount of sass. The men in the story are compelling and I seriously want to know more now!
