I am from Chicago and did not realize how those building came to be. There is so much history and also the murder aspect.
I learned so much about Chicago and some of the people who influenced its development. The tie in to a serial killer is a bonus.
Story dragged along in some places but it was a page turner non the less. Hard to believe it was true it was so incredibly twisted.
I grew up near Chicago, and used to visit the Field Museum on a regular basis. I had no idea that was part of the 1933 World Fair. It was so interesting to read about all the work that was done to create this huge extravaganza. A lot of the buildings were basically facades that were only meant to last for a short time.
