A tragic and haunting story told by a woman who has experienced many heartbreaks including a near-death experience. How she finds her high school sweetheart after 20 years is quite an interesting story. I wouldn’t choose this book unless I needed to be depressed.
Surprise twist.
Everything and more to keep me reading loved loved loved the ending
This is an amazing and inspiring story with something for everyone! The story flow is amazing it’s like watching a movie instead of reading a book! A must read for sure!
I loved it and didn’t want it to end.
I want all of the series!
What a marvelous story and one that took my breath away.
Hit home for me with where my life is right now!
Very nice read, fast and kept your interest. I have ordered the next book in the series. I would recommend this book.
Loved the book
The Color of Heaven is a wonderful book, and like a wonderful book should it had me so invested in the main character that it was like I was experiencing the tragedy of her losses and the joy of the happy moments first person. I have not read the other books in this series, but as far as I feel this could be left as an amazing stand alone novel.
The Color of Heaven was an amazing book and an extremely fast and satisfying read. The twists and turns that Sophie’s life takes kept you involved and intrigued. I love finding a new author that keeps me interested in finding out more without disappointing me and Julianne MacLean does that. Now to start book #2 of this series.
I just loved this book, in fact I am reading the entire series. Such a beautiful story, read it and find out Julianne knows the meaning of synchronicity (my favorite word). I don’t want to give anything away, read this book and, you will be hooked too!! I am so glad I came across this series. I’m on #5, I’m glad there are 8 more to go!!
a bit too maudlin for me, but others may enjoy.
Many tears shed reading this book but it was great
The Color of Heaven is the first book in Julianne MacLean’s The Color of Heaven series. Sophie Whitman is a successful columnist when her world falls apart. This series is excellent!!
Great story that is easy to believe and that this scenario could happen to anyone of us. Didn’t want to put it down!
While I appreciate the story line too explicit for me.
It was a very easy read. However I had a hard time with the premise of the story; a bit too unbelievable. It was interesting but it fell short of being engaging.
Fast read about a life filled with circumstances nobody would like to live. Very predictable story.
