Boyfriend (n.)1) A frequent or regular male companion with whom one has a romantic or sexual relationship.2) A myth. A legend. Impossible to find. According to her eighty-year-old neighbor, Lizzie Donovan is looking for Mr. Right in all the wrong places. Though it’s made great fodder for her blog, Lizzie is finally tired of swiping left and awful blind dates, and she’s ready to take Mrs. … she’s ready to take Mrs. Skinner’s advice and find love the old-fashioned way. Goodbye dating app, hello grocery store, book store, dog park, and wherever else she might be able to meet a good man. And she really has nothing to lose. Not only will she be entertained along the way, but even if she ends up alone, she’ll always have her longtime best friend, Aiden, by her side.
Friend zone (n.)
1) A situation in which a friendship exists between two people, one of whom has an unreciprocated romantic or sexual interest in the other.
2) Location of Aiden Wallace.
According to his eighty-year-old neighbor, Aiden Wallace has been friend zoned. And that’s mostly his fault because instead of opening his eyes and seeing what was right in front of him, Aiden has spent the last several years enjoying the single life. But things have changed—he has changed—and now he needs his best friend, Lizzie, to stop shoving him into the friend zone so he can work at winning her heart. Until then, he’s stuck watching her string of dating disasters and wishing she’d believe him when he tells her he’s the one.

K.L Grayson is a new author to me but I will certainly be looking at this authors other works because The Boyfriend Blog is one of the best friends to lovers romances I have read this year.
I loved Aiden and Lizzie they stole a piece of my heart and I found myself hoping and wishing that this adorable couple with a wonderful friendship got the HEA they really deserved. Friends forever but now Aiden is ready to commit will Lizzie be ready to cross the line and maybe risk the friendship..
Oh did I forget to mention Edna the next door neighbor who at times stole the show …..
All that’s left for me to say is I highly recommend you one click this entertaining read.
This is my first read by this author and if all her books are as enjoyable and entertaining as this one was, then I definitely want to read more of her work!
The Boyfriend Blog had amazing characters that really captured my heart and their witty banter was second to none! I thoroughly enjoyed this book and loved Aiden and Lizzie!
What a wonderful friendship they have. What happens when you have feelings for your best friends in the entire world?! Im not going to tell you though, you need to 1-click the story to find out!
Secrets, sizzling chemistry and a great storyline that was right up my alley as far as books go!
I especially loved Edna, what a character she was and I thought everything that came out of her mouth was pure gold! This book was just so amazing and I really look forward to reading more from the author!
First of all, by reading THE BOYFRIEND BLOG, I came to an understanding of what a blog is. I know, you’re wondering how I got to be this old without knowing. I also understand that sometimes it’s much easier to pour your heart out to a faceless audience. And this is what Lizzie did.
I really like second chance stories, but isn’t one. It goes deeper, from age six to the present, and that’s a lot of age brackets to grow through and together! I liked how truly they were the best of friends and so in tune to each other’s likes, quirks and mannerisms, but each hadn’t come to terms with their own change in feelings. This story was full of laughter and love! Fun story to read!
A fast, easy read, this book was perfect for the beach or an otherwise stressful holiday season. How convenient, then, that it’s December! The story itself was cute and amusing, and the octogenarian neighbor was my favorite character (providing additional wit and charm). A fun diversion from reality- four stars
There’s nothing like a book that has you swooning through the entire story. And that’s exactly what happened to me with this one.
Aiden and Lizzie’s friendship was amazing. I loved how they supportive they are of each other and how much fun they have hanging together. I love their kind and caring hearts. But man, if I didn’t want them to realize they were it for each other. The attraction between these two is undeniable and the steamy chemistry pours out of the pages.
Then we have Edna, who is their neighbor and is also their matchmaker. This lady made me laugh all the time. Also, how much I loved Aiden and Lizzie’s families, they were so supportive and so happy for them moving forward.
Swoony, hot and sweet.
I love this friends to lovers story! It’s heartfelt and sweet romance with the most likable characters! All the secondary characters added so much to the story as well.
I loved Aiden and his patience and cautious care for Lizzie and their long-standing friendship. He was thoughtful and supportive and always therefor Lizzie.
Lizzie was witty and her blog post and experiences had me giggling and gave me good feelings that uplifted my spirits but I also emphasized with her disappointments. She took everything in stride.
Lizzie and Aiden’s chemistry was unmistakable!
This is a great read!
Sweet, funny and so much fun! Friends to lovers Lizzie and Aiden will melt your heart. Lizzie has had it with dating and starts The Boyfriend Blog to post all her experiences. You can’t help but laugh out loud at all she has been through with some of these men. Without giving the story away I suggest this read of Lizzie, Aiden and the others, especially their neighbor that I loved so much!
5 star review The Boyfriend Blog by K L Grayson
K L Grayson is a relatively new author to me. I really enjoy her style of writing which had me riveted from the first to the last chapter.
According to her neighbour Mrs Skinner, Lizzie Donovan is looking for Mr. Right in all the wrong places. Deciding to take her advice and get rid of the dating apps she has been using, Lizzie embarks on her search.
Aiden Wallace has finally opened his eyes and seen who has been right in in front of him for the last 20 years or so. Finally over playing the field, he wants to settle down, now all he needs to do is convince his best friend Lizzie to take a chance on him.
I loved the friendship between Lizzie and Aiden, it is strong and true. The fact that they both care for their elderly neighbour Edna, just added another layer to the story; Edna is such a great character and I loved her.
A friends to lovers story that was heartwarming and funny as Aiden is forced to watch Lizzie go on bad dates time and again. An entertaining read that will draw you in with characters you cannot help but fall for.
A fun and sweet friends to lovers storyline. I enjoyed the banter between Lizzie and Aiden. Their chemistry is sizzling. The supporting characters added to this story. Definitely worth the read.
The Boyfriend Blog was a really cute, easy to read, friends to lovers story. Lizzie and Aiden have been best friends for ever. They’re even neighbors hat live across the hall from each other. Lizzie starts a blog about dating. She goes on a lot of awful dates and always ends up at Aidens apartment at the end of the night. Aiden has gotten to a point where he is ready to be her one and only. Unfortunately for him, she wrote them off as a couple a long time ago after a misunderstanding. I really enjoyed reading their story. I enjoyed their witty banter, their relationship with their elderly neighbor, and watching them find the “one” in each other. Great, quick read that I think all romance readers will enjoy.
I love Lizzie and Aiden! This story is amazing. Lizzie gets set up on some really bad, sometimes interesting and hilarious, blind dates so she blogs about them. Whenever she gets home from her dates, she visits her best friend Aiden, and she tells him what happens. Aiden and Lizzie have been friends since they were children, and when they were growing up, a misunderstanding happened that made Lizzie keep her distance. She finally decided that she still wanted Aiden as her best friend, but even though she had feelings for him, she kept her guard up. There were some tense moments, sad moments, but mostly laugh out loud moments. I love K.L. Grayson’s books, this is definitely in my top five, and I highly recommend it!
The Boyfriend Blog was right up my alley! I love a good friends-to-lovers story, and this new book from KL Grayson fit that perfectly!
Aiden and Lizzie have been friends forever. They live next to each other and do everything together. And Aiden has sat on the sidelines watching Lizzie date. And date. And date some more. And he’s there after every date with coping supplies (you know, ice cream and such). But it’s getting old for him, and he’s determined to convince Lizzie that they’re meant for each other.
I absolutely loved Aiden!! I loved how he worked so hard for Lizzie; I think that’s ultimately what most women want. And while I loved Lizzie- and understood her hesitancy about Aiden’s former lifestyle choices- I do wish that she had had enough trust in him sooner. But who stole the show? Seriously, it was Edna. There’s nothing quite like an elderly woman who tells it like it is!
And let me tell you, I loved the ending!! KL Grayson has a hit on her hands!!
Liz started a boyfriend blog to talk about dates she went on and how it went. There’s only one problem she’s already in love with someone but afraid to take leap. Aiden was a player in college but now he’s interested in a relationship. There’s only one problem, he can’t get nerve up to tell her. Will they ever get a chance? Will Liz give up on dating and go after what she wants?
While I already know how good of an author K.L. Grayson is when it comes to more emotional and angsty stories, this latest release of hers has shown that she’s more than adept at lighthearted fare as well! I’d be hard-pressed to find a single thing about this book that I didn’t, at the very least, like. There was just so much about it that I loved–from the main characters who had such an awesome friendship, one with deep roots and memories created together, to the supporting characters, with a much deserved special mention to Edna, and the story itself. Sure, there are countless friends-to-lovers books out there, but Grayson has always managed to add her own special touch to her stories, making them feel different in the best ways possible. In a year that’s been quite heartrending for me personally, it’s books like this one that give me a reason to smile. I’m giving five stars to The Boyfriend Blog.
This book is the perfect combination of great writing, fun characters and a cute storyline!
The Boyfriend Blog is a fantastic friends to lovers story with a fun approach to the whole dating scene.
Lizzie and Aiden have been friends forever but after being the shoulder to cry on after every failed date Aiden finally decides he has had enough. It took a lot of convincing and maybe a bit of deception to show her that he has changed and is ready for commitment. Now, he has finally made the decision to go after her and will do anything to will her over.
Lizzie is writing a blog all about her dates as she tries to find Mr. Right, but if she bothered to look closely Mr. Right was right in front of her the whole time. She just has to get over past hurts and trust her heart again.
Favorite quote: Lizzie ‘I want a man with a good sense of humor, a dirty mind and a beautiful heart.’
This story was a fun, entertaining read that I know will put a smile on your face!
This was an adorable friends to lovers read. It was a quick and easy read that I enjoyed and I happily lost myself in for a few hours. This was angst and drama free which made for a perfect light read. It was sweet and sexy and a real feel good read. An enjoyable light hearted read.
I was provided with a copy of this book from the publisher. There was no inducement or obligation and I opted to leave a review.
