MY TAKE
I have loved this series about four billionaires. It’s about four men who became friends as boys at a summer camp for kids with disabilities. Going into business has made them rich, but it hasn’t made their disabilities go away. And the money hasn’t bought them happiness. That came from the women who stepped into their lives. Now, the final friend, Jarrett, gets his love story! And it’s a delightfully touching and hilarious romance.
The cancer that stole Jarrett’s leg as a youth has already recurred once. That, alone, might have been enough to keep him from getting involved. But what really got him was when his girlfriend Carlie (Rylie’s identical twin sister) ditched him to pursue a singing career. The three had always done everything together and been close. When Carlie had gone, Jarrett hadn’t been able to face seeing Rylie. It’s been seven years since the spoke.
Jarret wasn’t the only one with a broken heart. Rylie was also in love with him. Now, seven year’s later, Carlie’s life is a mess. She comes dragging home to stay with Rylie who has just bought her own place. Things get really complicated when she crosses paths with Jarrett and finds out he’s her neighbor. And he’s excited to see Carlie.
Carlie’s all about getting back with Jarrett. He’s a billionaire, after all. When she finds out he needs a temporary wife so he an adopt a child with leukemia, she volunteers. But things are on a tight schedule, so when she gets sick and can’t make it to the quickie wedding, Rylie gets pulled in to be the temp wife. They can just annul it once Jarrett has the boy.
Except, it’s not that simple. It turns out he and Rylie must stay married or he risks losing the boy. What follows is a hilarious and sometimes heartbreaking journey of two people who are so right for each but don’t know. The side characters are a delight. We get to see the other partners and their families, so there’s a feel of a family union to it, especially the epilogue.
It’s a wonderful conclusion to the series.
I knew I would love this book and I did. I was sucked in right from the beginning and had the hardest time putting it down when life called. This book has all the feels. I was laughing, crying, screaming, cheering and sighing. Jarrett is such a great guy and Rylie is an incredibly selfless woman. Together they are quite the pair. This was a beautiful story and I loved Jarrett’s proclamation. It was perfect. I’m sad to see this series end as I have loved it, but Mrs. Dearen wrapped it up perfectly in the epilogue.
It’s official. Every book in this series has earned 5 stars from me. The characters are so unique and likable in this steamy-clean romance.
A fun engaging well written clean standalone romance that is part of an amazing series. This incredible storyline had me hooked page after page. It includes a beautiful heartwarming plot with laughs, tears, anger, communication and love all wrapping up with a great epilogue. I voluntarily read and reviewed this incredible ARC from this amazing author.
You may be able to guess the ending before you get to it. But the read is worth the trip. It’s satisfying to know that once in a while things work out the way you want them to. This is a great ending to a great series. The book can stand alone, but it will make more sense if you’ve read the other three, just so you understand the characters better.
The Billionaire’s Alternate Marriage is another hit by Tamie Dearen and the perfect conclusion to the series of Billionaires founders of Phantom Enterprises.
I loved getting to see Jarrett and Kylie’s relationship unfold through the curve balls that were thrown at them, as well as getting to know each one of them: Jarrett as one of the sweetest, most caring, generous and selfless men out there, and Kylie, as a sweet, funny, smart, strong, kind and also selfless woman.
Of course, as the reader is already used with this series, there’s always a sensitive issue within the book, and even though it was hard reading about Cancer treatment (both in the past to a preteen and in the present to a 3-year-old) and its consequences, I think the author dealt with it as was appropriate, as well as it helped the reader to see both Jarrett and Rylie facing the joys and trials of parenting.
This book gave me all the feels (from the tingly awareness to the gut-wrenching rejections, to the broken-heartedness of miscommunication, to the fuzzy feelings of the romantic gestures plus those kisses…), and kept me awake way past my bedtime, it was that good!! Oh, and I especially enjoyed the element of faith and prayer in this story. It was the perfect touch.
In case I haven’t mentioned this before, Tamie Dearen has become one of my auto-buy authors, and believe me, she doesn’t disappoint. So, even if this is the first book you’ve read by her, the story will grab you and won’t let you go till you’re finished with it. Besides, it’ll only mean that you have the other three books waiting for you as soon as you finished them. Having read them out of order myself, I know I’ll go catch up on Bran and Finn’s stories 😉 Happy reading!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
4 stars
The setting seems unrealistic. The worker class and billionaires live in entirely different neighborhoods. Especially neavou rich billionaires. Nonetheless, the story is delightful. The yin and yang between Rylie and Jarrett is mesmerizing as well as distressing.
I received a copy of this book as a gift. This is my honest review.
This was such a fitting ending to the wonderful Limitless series by Tamie Dearen! Jarrett was crushed by the rejection of what he thought was his one true love and thought he would never marry. Then he finds out his next door neighbor is her twin sister, Rylie, who has loved him for years since she first met him–before her twin swooped in and stole him away. When Jarrett needs to marry quickly in order to be able to adopt a child with leukemia and bring him to the USA for treatment, Rylie steps in to help but she feels badly for him because he married the wrong twin. Or did he? It’s complicated but in the end everyone gets their HEA. And the epilogue featuring all of the Phantom Enterprises guys with their families ties up the series in such a heartwarming way! You will love it! If you haven’t read the other books in this series you will want to! Highly recommend! I received an ARC and this is my honest and voluntary review.
I liked the humorous places in this book. I liked that this book gave place to many disabled people & I liked the outreach programs to help others. I liked the love story between Jarrett & Rylie. I like when the blinders were removed from Jarrett’s eyes.
This was a fantastic conclusion to a wonderful series!
I absolutely fell in love with Rylie. She was genuine, funny and kind and perfect for Jarrett. I really like Jarrett too! Although I was a bit mad at him for being so slow in realising his feelings, at the end I was cheering for both of them.
I loved Gabe as well! He was such a cutie and his interactions with Jarrett and Rylie were so sweet.
I loved the plot as well. In fact, I’ve loved the main plot of the whole series (which is accidentally married/ marriage of convenience) and I loved this one too.
I loved seeing all the families from the previous three books come together in the epilogue; that just made my heart melt!
Overall, I loved this novel and I would highly recommend it for all lovers of sweet, clean romance!
I received a copy of this novel from the publisher. This has not affected my review, which is my honest and unbiased opinion.
I loved this series.
Each story was different with familiar characters.
This book was inspiring to read.
The characters were so real and perfect for their roles.
The plot was so refreshing and could not put it down.
This author never fails me with her books.
I waited anxiously for the next installment of the “Limitless” series by Tamie Dearen and it did not disappoint.
I was invested in the story from the very beginning, and what a beginning it was. I could feel Rylie’s embarrassment as she meets the man she’s secretly in love with after nine years, in a trash heap. I cringed right along with her at the same time I wanted to laugh out loud.
The characters were well written with depth, and personality. Each one I could sympathize with, even those I loved to hate, or hated to love.
Jarrett was the perfect book boyfriend, except a bit clueless when it came to women. He had to deal with identical twins who had personalities from opposite poles, plus a petite Hispanic grandma who kept trying to play matchmaker. He could barely keep his head above water. I loved his desire to adopt a little boy with Leukemia, and his tender concern for him, which led to a fake marriage, or was it?
“The Billionaire’s Alternate Marriage” had me running a whole gamut of emotions as I stepped into the story. I couldn’t put it down.
I received an ARC Courtesy of the author and this is my honest review. I recommend this book.
Like all the billionaires in this series, Jarrett is an intriguing character. He has a prosthetic leg but lives life to the fullest. He’s generous with his wealth and compassionate. However, he’s got to be the densest man alive regarding his treatment of Rylie. I wanted to shake him until his teeth rattled! Rylie, however, brought me to tears; she values herself so little in comparison to others and Jarret’s careless words validate her viewpoint. Just as she begins to hope for more, she realizes her temporary value is in being mistaken for her twin. Jarrett has a battle on two fronts: overcoming Rylie’s lack of self-worth and overcoming his faulty perception of past events. The conclusion was happy but getting there was nerve wracking! I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
I have enjoyed following the lives of the four billionaires in The Limitless Clean Billionaire Romance Series. The storyline in The Billionaire’s Alternate Marriage has a lot going for it. There’s an international adoption to save the life of a little boy with leukaemia. Jarrett lost a leg due to cancer and walks with a prosthesis. Rylie and Carlie are identical twins and their differences add an interesting aspect to the drama.
The characters are difficult to like though, because Carlie is self-centred throughout the story and Jarrett, the billionaire, is clueless most of the time. Rylie does everything to keep the peace and to support those she loves while her own heart gets overlooked and even stepped on. Most of the events are told through Rylie’s POV, and if you’re empathetic like me, you’ll find it stressful. The miscommunication gets drawn out to the point of being ridiculous. The epilogue is a sweet conclusion to the entire series, but it also feels like a bunch of names are crammed into a few pages.
I received an ARC. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I found myself laughing one minute and crying the next. There is nothing sexier than a man with a young child who has done everything to adopt him so he can get medical care. When you mix in a set of beautiful twins who live next door you have an outstanding book.
This is the final book of the Limitless Billionaire’s series. Though I got frustrated at the lack of communication among the characters, I actually really liked the main characters and their interaction. Rylie and Jarret had a fun relationship.
The epilogue was an especially nice way to wrap up the series. A very enjoyable read and series.
I received an ARC of this book from the author, Tamie Dearen, via Bookfunnel and this is my voluntary and honest review. I loved this heartwarming love story about Jarrett and Rylie. Jarrett is a billionaire who is also a cancer survivor. Rylie and her twin sister, Carlie, have been friends with Jarrett for a decade. This is a great Christian romance with laughter and tears and joy. I highly recommend this great book that is hard to put down.
The Billionaire’s Alternate Marriage grabbed my attention immediately and never let go! Unrealistically, I never wanted to see this series end. This story is about two computer nerds who were best friends but have been out of touch for nine years. This story has it all – cute kids, well written characters and a heart warming plot. I really wanted Rylie and Jarrettt to get their acts together and actually communicate with each other rather than assuming they know what the other is feeling. It has a great epilogue, also. I highly recommend this book.
This has been a fun series to read. Identical twin sisters, one hot rich guy, what could go wrong? Tamie Dearen is a tease. I have been reading this book as she has teased us slowly with it, chapter by chapter. I’m glad to finally be able to get it all together and with the ending. I enjoyed this book and can’t help but hope there is a way to revisit this wonderful group of friends.
I’ve been waiting for Jarrett’s story and Tamie Dearen didn’t fail me. Riley never thought she would ever see the him again, and to find out he’s her neighbor! What bad luck. She has only loved him, Jarrett, for nine years while he has loved her twin sister Carlie for nine years. He needs a wife so he can adopt a son. He and Carlie make arrangement for a temporary marriage and things get switched up. Will it end up that Riley and Jarrett’s friendship actually evolve to more?
I highly recommend this as series or as stand alone.
I received a free advanced copy of this book, but this review is my honest opinion.
