There’s a serial killer on the loose, bent on working his way though the alphabet. There seems little chance of the murderer being caught — until her makes the crucial and vain mistake of challenging Hercule Poirot to frustrate his plans …
I think I must have read this before, but I’m not sure when or if it was simply that I watched a tv version. Either way, there were a few points I managed to remember vaguely enough that when they turned out to be significant I wasn’t surprised, but I think that Agatha Christie did it again with this one- I was quite amazed to see how it all came …

If you’re watching the gripping new adaptation on BBC TV you’ll love the original – and if you don’t have a chance to see the new version, then just enjoy the first, and dare I say it, best version of this chilling Poirot full of menace and mystery

I resolved to read an Agatha Christie novel this year, and now I’ve read 3. I am well and truly spoiled. Agatha Christie was definitely of the less is more school of writing. There are no unnecessary descriptors, character building is only necessary if it furthers the plot, and the mystery is the most important thing. It’s liberating, but it makes …

Agatha Christie is one of the main reasons I write suspense today. Without fail, every one of her books is a masterpiece in sharp characters, twisty plots, and smart prose. The ABC Murders is so well-done that I’ve read it multiple times, finding new things to marvel at each time. Christie is called the “Queen of Crime,” and it’s no mistake.

Like comfort food for readers. Easy to read and understand what was going on. Loved the twists and turns. It’s not over until it’s over.

Most of this book was pretty exciting. The climax fell a little bit flat, but the mystery was really good and I was left surprised over different parts of the reveal.
Hugh Fraser’s narration of the audiobook was excellent.

There’s a hilarious thing when I was reading this book. Firstly, I’m a big fan of Agatha Christie and none of her books have ever disappointed me. There’s always something unpredictable in them that spices up all the plot. One night I’ve almost read it and only one or two chapters have been left. I felt quite interested but not excited of what I …

You can’t go wrong with an Agatha Christie if you want to be entertained and match wits with her detectives. Expect to be misdirected and amazed and enjoy it.
