Trevor Lincoln is the legendary tight end for Boston University’s football team. As the youngest son of a former NFL player, he lives a life of privilege with an endless stream of girls vying for his attention. He always gets his way.Until I come along.Everything about him irks me. From his crooked smile and sexy, dark hair, to his obscenely large trust fund. But when we’re forced to spend time … forced to spend time together, the undeniable spark between us blazes and resisting him becomes one of my greatest challenges.
Can I shut down his game, or will he tackle my heart?
can be read as a standalone

The answer is yes, you need to read this book.
I really like Jacob Chance books, they are very entertaining. He writes wonderful characters that make you laugh and sometimes cry. This book revolves around Trevor and Grace, he’s a football player that everyone misunderstands and you see how much he goes out of his way to show Grace he cares. Will she see that he’s trying? Or will she believe the hype as well.
Tackle is a well written, must read. All the Boston Terrier Series is great, but this one surpasses all the others. I can’t wait for more!
It all started with a fun game of football. The day she TACKLED him, was the day their fate was sealed. She couldn’t resist all his “Trevorness”.
Grace is on the women’s football team at BU. She goes to school, plays ball and works at her family’s cafe. She is a fiery red-head who knows exactly what she wants and what she doesn’t.
Trevor is a tight-end for the Boston Terriers football team. He’s a bit cocky and arrogant but has a sweet side that he likes to show only to Grace. He’s definitely just more than his famous dad’s last name.
Trevor wants Grace and he willing to do whatever he needs to make her his. Grace is about to test his dedication.
This was a slow burn romance with a whole lot of smolder!!! You can only fight chemistry for so long. Trevor was relentless in his pursuit, thoughtful with his wooing, irresistibly romantic and a little bit dirty! You can’t help but love him.
I really enjoy the Boston Terriers Series and continue to fall for these football hotties!
Grace tackles Trevor in a game of ball and not only does she steal his chance to score she steals his heart. Trevor has had a playground of willing girls but they like that he’s hot, he’s the captain of the Boston Terriers and he’s the son of NFL player Lawrence Lincoln. Not one of them want him simply because they like him, they are all shallow and like what he represents. His sights are set on Grace but she has already misjudged him to be the silver spooner who lives off his fathers back. Trevor isn’t so easily dismissed though he keeps on trying to break down her walls.
There are a few fundamental lessons included…don’t be judgemental, things are not always as they seem appearances can be deceiving, bullying is a really ugly trait and honest communication is paramount to any relationship or friendship.
Another addictive read! I love how feisty Grace is, she gives Trevor a run for his money. She is a bit stuck up, sweet and sassy all rolled into one, I even felt sorry for him a few times :). They had a spark from the start but she did not want to give it a second thought, school, family and football were what mattered most. As with all of Jacob’s books I could not put it down and was surely not ready for it to end. I definitely enjoyed reading Trevor and Grace’s story, and I recommend everyone continuing with the Boston Terrier Series I know I cannot wait for Owen’s story.
EEEEPPP! As usual, Jacob did not disappoint. He truly has an imagination like no other. I loved how the book started, everything in between and an even better ending! Trevor is a charming football player used to having things handed to him and girls kneeling at his feet. Until he meets Grace! Grace is football player for the women’s team with a spitfire attitude and red hair to match! Giving Trevor a run for his money Grace does her best not to fall for all the #Trevorness. Their banter is absolutely hilarious with LOL moments of awesomeness! 1-Click and meet your new book boyfriend!
I love this Boston Terriers Series; Trevor and Grace’s story does not disappoint. It’s a real life situation put into words. Both showing a toughness to protect themselves from hurt. Being the son of an NFL All Star isn’t easy, but Trevor knows what he want’s to do with his life and now who he wants to spend it with. While Grace the daughter of a very homestyle restaurant owner is guarded and tries hard to stay away from the one man she can’t stop thinking of. Their story is steamy, sexy and romantic. I loved the characters and friendships that continue to develop with each entry into this series. If you love football, you want to read this series.
The Boston Terriers series are booming! What else can you ask for? At this time of the year it is all about football, but in this story you get both sides of the game….what do I mean? Well my book world friends, you really need to read Tackle to find out! Besides the love of football, I also wanted to talk about the story line and the characters. You can read Tackle as a standalone, but if you fall for these characters as I have, believe me when I say you want to go back and read the others.
Grace and Trevor have become a fan favorite. We did meet them in Coach and I love their POV during the men vs woman game. These two were crazy impossible together yet they just fit. The story line flows with ease. The heated moments will light up any room. The sparring never gets tiring. Tackle will have you so reeled in that you can’t help but let the world around you fade away. Tackle was easy to fall for, and another one in the books that is a fave for me by Jacob Chance!!! Give Me More!!!
Loved it
Trevor and Grace is my favorite in the Boston Terrier series so far. Trevor knew what he wanted and that was a feisty redhead that fought her feelings for him. Love how this story developed.
My love with the Boston Terriers grows with each and every book, making me feel like a cheerleader for this series. Tackle is a book that will come at you full force and knock you down hard with the strength of the connection between Trevor and Grace. Two people who are from opposite sides of the fence but are more alike than they realize. Grace is a fiery redhead that judges Trevor based on his last name but when she starts to see a different side to him her heart and head are thrown into total confusion. As these two take position and ready themselves for the play of their lives called love, it might just be secrets and hurt that will bring them to their knees. Tackle is a story that brings it all, chemistry, emotion, fiery moments, the hot and steamy and lets not forget the romance. This 4th book is one hell of a touchdown.
I have been reading Jacob Chance since his first book and am a huge fan. Each book is better than the last and I simply devour everything he writes. And his Boston Terriers series is one of my favorites. I love the cocky and arrogant men he gives us and then watch them fall by the women in their lives! Tackle by Jacob Chance is the fourth book in the Boston Terriers series, however, each book can be read as a standalone.
Trevor Lincoln is a man used to getting everything he wants. He is not only the son of a former NFL player, but he is also the tight end for Boston University. Women fall at his feet. He comes from wealth and privilege, but that does not mean things are always easy for him.
I have to say I absolutely loved Grace. She was strong, determined and lively. And I loved that she also played football for the woman’s team. She comes from a home where she is loved, but things have not always been easy financially for her. Because of this she is fast to judge Trevor.
I loved Trevor and Grace. He was a cocky man, but he was determined for her to see him, really see him. He had a way of getting through her defenses. They had great chemistry and a strong connection. I am loving this series and cannot wait to read more!
4.5 stars! Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
This is one fantastic book, the dislike/love relationship Grace had for Trevor in the beginning was great, she is no push over-get him Grace-lol, at times Grace seemed so hard on Trevor and you felt bad for him but laughed anyways, well I did. Loved Trevor, he’s determination to win Grace is so sweet not to mention his hard work ethics to be his own person and man was telling considering in Coach he seemed like a rich stinker of a guy, the ending was a little surprising but so perfect for this story. Just love everything about this book and it’s hands down my favorite in the Boston Terriers series.
The Boston Terriers series just got better. Having read the first three books in the series, I just knew Trevor and Grace’s story was going to be extra special. May I say that the author, Jacob Chance, did not disappoint me in that regard. They story is truly special and totally worth reading.
Trevor comes across to many as a spoiled rich kid that can get anything he wants, simply because his father was a huge NFL star and he was born into wealth. But just because was raised in a wealthy home that shouldn’t define him, should it? But sadly it often has. Especially with Grace, a girl he really would like to get to know. But Grace won’t give him the time of day. Grace comes from a loving home but one that often struggles financially. This has her seeing Trevor through jaded eyes and she is always quick to judge and verbally spare with him and she definitely doesn’t want to date him. Can Trevor get her to give him a chance and see him for the man he really is? Can Grace change her preconceived notions?
This is a fabulous addition to the series. It’s an exceptional romance that will have you laughing at Trevor’s antics and smiling at the wonder of new/young love. 2 Thumbs Up for this heartfelt storyline, a 5 Star book that I highly recommend. You won’t be sorry you did!
I really enjoyed reading Trevor’s story. I loved the storyline and the ending was fabulous!!
Trevor is a rich kid, star of the Terrier’s men’s football team, and a ladies man, some even call him a playboy. When he meets Grace he stops messing around with women and actually puts effort into having a chance with her. Will all of his hard work pay off or will one night ruin all of his chances for good?
Grace plays for the women’s Terriers football Team and she is determained to not let anything or anyone get in the way of her goals. When Trevor takes an interest in her she isn’t sure if he’s serious or if she is just a challenge for him.
This is Book 4 of the Boston Terriers Series , but it can be read as a stand-alone.
I highly recommend this and the other three books in this series!
This story is absolutely beautiful. Trevor and Grace are two of the sweetest characters yet. I am a big fan of theirs. I was cheering for them the whole time. I love the nickname he gives her. The writing and flow of this book is remarkable. I absolutely recommend this book and series.
I have a desperate love for sports books and this one really takes the cake. I love that both Trevor and Grace played sports and because of that it was a pretty big role in the book.
From the moment I saw Trevor and Grace together I was infatuated with them. I loved how she didn’t really take him too seriously, but he would not take no for an answer. The way they fell in love was just super special in super adorable. She really made him work for it, and he just wouldn’t give up. I love how they got to be friends while he was trying to woo her too. I loved every minute of this book and every minute of them trying to get to know each other and the slowburn was so worth the wait too! Can’t wait to get more of the series.
This book has all the feels you can think of. Grace and Trevor take you on ride of what if’s and do’s and don’t of dating. They will have you laughing and smiling and almost crying.
Trevor with is sillness and playboy attitude and what he is willing to do to get the girl.
Grace with all her seriousness and her sassy attitude. Trying to keep away from him. Will they be able to get past everything and be together or will other things keep them apart? Can not wait to read more from this author
I love this author, very surprised that a man could write good steamy love stories, read the whole series and wish there were more
Another great book from Jacob Chance. Trevor is hard working in everything he does and that includes his pursuit of Grace. He puts in the work she really makes him work for it. Grace sometime annoyed me. She was rude and judge mental most of the book. Trevor does make her realize that she was wrong about him and he is a good guy. Overall the two of them are a good couple.
Iced is the newest addition to the Boston Terriers collection of books. It’s Ava and Oliver Ice’s story… by the way greatest last name for a hockey player.
Both Oliver and Ava had a rough go at love. They were both cheated on by their partners and they respectfully swore off of love and relationships till Ava needs a pretend boyfriend for a family reunion that her ex will be at….
I thought some of Jacob’s previous male characters were ” swoon worthy book boyfriends”, but they don’t hold a candle to Oliver. He’s a sexy hockey player, opens doors for ladies, caring, listens and a down right perfect man. Boydid his mamma raise him well!!
