Trevor Lincoln is the legendary tight end for Boston University’s football team. As the youngest son of a former NFL player, he lives a life of privilege with an endless stream of girls vying for his attention. He always gets his way.Until I come along.Everything about him irks me. From his crooked smile and sexy, dark hair, to his obscenely large trust fund. But when we’re forced to spend time … forced to spend time together, the undeniable spark between us blazes and resisting him becomes one of my greatest challenges.
Can I shut down his game, or will he tackle my heart?

Tackle by Jacob Chance was a sweet, swoony romance. I loved the characters and the storyline. It was a quick read that I finished in one sitting and a great addition to the Boston Terriers series! I will definitely be recommending it to everyone!
Well it’s official, Trevor is my favorite of the Lincoln brothers. It’s true what they say, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Because on the surface Trevor is a spoiled self centered player. However once you delve beneath the surface you discover so much more, just as Grace did. Speaking of Grace, she is one tough cookie that won’t take b.s. from anyone, even if he is super hot. I loved, loved, loved these two. I especially love how Grace didn’t just go all swoony and googly eyed over Trevor and stayed true to herself. This is definitely my second favorite book in this series, Drive is still #1 (Nick, need I say more), but Tackle is a very close second. I enjoyed getting to know Trevor and Grace better, and seeing some of the other character’s stories continue as well.
I can’t wait until Jock, Owen’s story, releases. This is an absolute must read series and as long as Jacob Chance continues to write more books about the Boston Terriers I’ll be reading them. #MustReadSeries #BestSportsRomanceSeries
When we first met Trevor, he was a cocky womanizer . Grace is the fiery one that makes him up his game. She doesn’t get affected by his charm and sexiness. Their relationship path is a fun read. The “Love you” scene was the sweetest thing!
trevor is amazing in this story, he’s funny and never backs down from a challenge. Grace is that very challenge. Her firey nature and mistrust in this playboy means she can’t trust that his feelings are true. Great read.
Trevor Lincoln has no problems getting women in his bed. After all, his father & brother are famous football stars & his family is rolling in money. So he can’t figure out why his charms are not working on Grace Duffy.
Grace can’t stand being around Trevor. Despite his good looks she feels because he’s had a privileged life everything comes easy for him, whereas Grace has always had to work hard & help out at her family’s cafe. And with Trevor sleeping with most of the women at school, she doesn’t find him charming at all. With their friends hanging out together all the time Grace & Trevor are always thrown together. As they get to know each other Grace sees she’s misjudged him & starts to fall for him. But when she sees something that puts Trevor in a terrible situation, does she trust him or will her imagination run wild & ruin them both?
Grace was a little hard to like because she was so mean & judgmental when Trevor didn’t do anything wrong. Trevor was patient & didn’t give up even when she was in the wrong. Another great story with the boys of the Boston Terriers. Looking forward to Owen’s story!
Tackle is the latest instalment in the Boston Terrier series. It is jam packed with fun, full of banter, with ups and downs and misunderstandings!
I admit; I found myself completely smitten with Trevor Lincoln. I was pleasantly surprised to realise I had completely misunderstood him. In the previous books of the series he is portrayed as a womaniser and a playboy. In fact, Trevor was a pure gentleman. His pursuit of Grace was relentless. But the more time these two work together and spent with each other Grace begins to realise that that there is more to Trevor than just an self-entitled jock. Through his hard work, kindness and sweet romantic gestures, Grace slowly begins to let go of her misgivings she had about Trevor. Ultimately allowing their mutual pent-up sexual energy to culminate into an explosive evening of scorching passion!
Overall, Tackle was an enjoyable read that moved nicely at a steady pace, had well-developed characters and a story that was believable. As always, I can’t wait to see what is going to come next from Jacob Chance.
Once again Jacob Chance has done it again with the Boston Terriers. We finally see the famous Lincoln son, Trevor and boy have to say he was great. I loved that no matter how different Grace thinks he is Jacob shows us he is much more. There is more to being a Lincoln son and Trevor is determined to prove he is not just another rich kid. All in all these two are great and cannot wait in the next Terrier story.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
Such a sweet story from Jacob Chance! Trevor, a rumored playboy, gets tackled by Grace in a coed football game and things are never the same after that. He falls head over heels, while she plays it safe. Can he win her over? Read Tackle. In fact, read the whole Boston Terriers series. Each book gets better and better.
Trevor’s and Grace’s story is wickedly awesome. It is unapologetically the best as these two sexy star crossed lovers navigate the uncharted sea of relationships. This book made me laugh, cry, cheer, and fall in love a true five star read! Can’t wait to start book number five…Jacob Chance is the best!

This standalone series has me hooked! Trevor and Grace are a sweet and sassy slow burn romance that will have you smirking more often then not with this banter. Knowing Trevor was never one to have the desire to settle on one woman and then have this pull towards Grace left me swooning over him more and more and the story developed. Grace is a woman that knows what she wants out of a relationship and because of past experiences her guard is up. I understand where she’s coming from and I’m so happy to see that decisions she makes based on what’s happening in front if her in the present day. Just like everyone else there are ups and downs and this story is no different. I was surprised with their ending, I didn’t expect that. This author has done a great job with keeping the story flowing strong throughout and having the dual POV was perfect, I enjoyed seeing experiences through both their eyes. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
One of my favorites in the Boston Terriers series
Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of Jacob Chance. The Boston Terriers series is one of my faves. Football, sexy heros and smart, strong heroines…what is not to love! That being said, I just finished Tackle and am totally blown away. I have been anxiously awaiting this read and it does not disappoint. Trevor Lincoln, seems to have it all; he’s not only a tight-end for the Boston Terriers, but he’s also sexy, wanted by the ladies and the son of NFL legend Lawrence Lincoln. However, having a famous dad isn’t everything it is cracked up to be. Trevor wonders if women want him for him or for his dad’s bank account. For that reason he keeps relationships casual and girlfriends are a definite no. Then he meets Grace Duffy, a fiery red head who is not only beautiful, but smart, strong, independent AND did I mention she also plays football for the Boston Terriers women’s football team? The chemistry between the two is instant and undeniable, but Grace has no interest in getting involved with Trevor who she assumes is a spoiled rich kid that has a new girl every week. But her resolve is waning as Trevor tries to get her to see that you can’t always judge a book by its cover. “Whatever it is you’re wondering. I can hear the gears grinding in your head, I’d rather just tell you what you want to know than have you speculating.” With each page turn I was falling more in love with Trevor and Grace, both individually and as a couple. The secondary characters are rich and well developed too. Tackle was fun, romantic, swoon worthy, slow burn perfection. 5 stars!!
Jacob has definitely hit his groove with another great sports romance in his football world.
Grace and Trevor have an interesting push-pull relationship that I enjoyed. She gives as much as he does. And they both enjoy their sport. It was great watching their relationship develop. I also enjoyed seeing the past couples, and can’t help but wonder who will be next to get coupled up.
