Will Sarah solve another murder and save the lives of innocent people or will she become trapped in the snow and wind up frozen?
Sarah and Amanda are happily planning a girls-only week in Snow Falls while both of their husbands are out of town: an entire week to shop, laze around, bake brownies, and do girly stuff. But then a killer snowstorm arrives along with a whole lot of trouble. First, … arrives along with a whole lot of trouble. First, Sarah must take charge of the police station because half of the town is sick with a terrible flu, including the chief of police. Second, a dead man turns up in her coffee shop. Third, and strangest of all, three sweet and harmless old ladies claim they killed the dead man and an old Snow Falls family feud rears its ugly head. Sarah and Amanda tumble head-first into a strange case with more twists and turns than they realize.
Determined to prove the three elderly ladies are not the real killers—even though they claim to be—Sarah sets out on a troublesome path that finally leads her into the dark history of two families determined to avenge old hurts and long-ago thefts from the frontier days. Chasing down one lead after another with only Amanda at her side, Sarah begins to piece the puzzle together. Just when she is closing in on the answers, the snowstorm turns deadly, trapping her and Amanda inside the police station while the killer roams free in town. Determined not to give up and despite the storm threatening her life, Sarah must find a way to chase down the killer before three more murders happen on her watch.
This cozy mystery is a clean read: no graphic violence, sex, or strong language.

Whenever I’m in a mini-slump and can’t seem to focus on what I’m trying to read, I go grab a Cozy Mystery and BAM…just what I need.
I absolutely love this series. They are quick, corny and equipped with mysteries. Perfect for getting me back in the mood.
Family Feud Alaskan Style!
Another great mystery for Sarah and Amanda as they race to find the killer during the White Killer Storm gripping Snow Falls. Sarah tries to unravel the truth and save three sisters from being charged with murder. Warm, charming characters and plenty of suspense, twists and turns in this delightful Cozy Mystery. Enjoy!

The 10th installment of the Alaska Cozy Mystery is another great read by Wendy Meadows. Sarah and Amanda are put to the test with solving another murder in the midst of a severe storm. The drama surrounding the murder of a long time resident goes back decades and finally comes to an end. The ending as always puts a smile on my face.

This is a sweet or as sweet as a cozy mystery can be, The story is great and the characters are believable. This is part of a series and I recommend this book and the whole series.

Sarah, a former police officer, is like a magnet when it comes to danger and crime. So no one is really surprised that when the police force of Snow is out cold with either the flu or absent, so she had been deputized, a murder occurs and she has to try and find the culprit.
Seemingly crazy elderly ladies, and a possible murderer on the hunt for her – because of another case – and some members of the town resenting her as a new comer and as a person bringing trouble to their neighborhood, color the story interestingly.
Well written and entertaining.

A good cozy mystery, entertaining and enjoyable. It was a bit darker than usual and I appreciated how the writer was able to keep the tension high.
The mystery is solid, the cast of characters likable and fleshed out.
Even if it’s not the first instalment in this series there was enough background story to understand what was going on.
Recommended.

inter-clan marriages can make small town life a bit too interesting. it must be awful in a village!
ages old tales, and their twisted re-tellings and greed lead from accidental slayings to coercion, intentional theft and multiple murders.
Sarah puts her crime solving mind to use during yet another snow storm, and unravels a sad a twisted tale.
The love of friends and family, and a marriage built on love and trust makes a happy home for Sarah, if she can just let go of the dark and scary and hang onto the love and the happy.
An intriguing series! small town horrors meet small town happy!
A great KU read!

Sarah and Amanda are in trouble again. 10th in the series and still so much fun. I have been reading these, catching up with some previously missed ones, and they are all so good. Keep me laughing and sleuthing and cheering on these wonderful characters through the shenanigans they keep getting involved in. Great plot and I love Alaska.

As Sarah and Amanda plan a girls week with their spouse out of town. Well the best laid plan doesn’t always happen. With most of town sick with the flu, Sarah has to step up run the town. The girls find themselves knee deep in another murder with a family feud that has been going on for years. As always there is another snow storm that keeps the girls on their toes to solve their latest mystery.

Sarah and Amanda must abandon their “girls week” to run the police station when half the town, including the police chief, comes down with the flu. Then comes a blizzard and, of course, a murder.
This is the first book I’ve read in the Alaska Cozy Mystery series and there was enough backstory that I could follow along, so it can be read stand alone, but probably enjoyed even more starting from the beginning. The story was interesting and the killer wasn’t obvious. I liked that the storm was also a main character not merely a backdrop, and that I was cold the whole time I read the book!

Amanda and Sarah are planning a ‘girls night out’. A relaxing, girlie night with just the things they want to do. Ha! The best laid plans go so wrong! With their spouses out of town, half the town sick with the flu, that leaves the girls to run the town. Then they have three ladies come in and say they killed a man. But the girls don’t really believe them, even though there is a body of Mr. Cochran. While investigating, Amanda and Sarah are sorting through a family feud that has been going on forever. Then the snow storm hits! Just what they needed. Amanda and Sarah face all these problems with humor and style. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from Booksprout.
I’ve never had the chance to read the first 9 books, but had no trouble diving right into book 10. Great characters, fun back and forth remarks, and a murder to solve, in a deadly snow storm, no less! Who could ask for more?

Conrad is out of town and his fellow police officers are down for the count with a nasty flu bug. It looks like Sarah and Amanda find themselves deputized to run things for the next few days. When a (possible) murder happens on their watch, the ladies are left to solving the case on their own. Now they must sort through a century-old feud between two families and the confession of an unlikely trio all to determine if Mr. Cochran really was murdered or died of natural causes.
Sarah and Amanda are fantastic characters in this cozy mystery series. They are best friends who always use their wits, sleuthing skills, and luck to solve the mystery. With a touch of humor, tons of quirky characters, a mystery to solve, and tons of madcap adventure, I couldn’t put the book down until the very end.

In this one, Snow Falls is having a bad snow storm. Conrad has gone to New York to help a friend. The majority of the town is down with the flu. This leaves Sarah and Amy to man the police station all by themselves. They do rise to the challenge but they do end up wit a murder to solve. The murder involves an old family feud and stolen gold.
