Real estate agent Jenna Meyers is in a good position to work a side job as a private investigator searching for the money stolen from a bank. On a routine visit to a potential listing, Jenna discovers a grisly scene in an abandoned home. Her first thought is Squatters. A closer look reveals the house had been used as a place of torture. A chance sighting of someone lurking in the woods nearby … leaves Jenna fearful for her life.
When Sebastian McKinnon catches wind of the torture site, he vows to protect Jenna, convinced the victim tortured could have been his missing father. If the maniac conducting the torture thinks Jenna saw him, he might come after her, giving Sebastian the chance to capture him and learn the whereabouts of the Iron Horse Ranch patriarch.
Together, Sebastian and Jenna struggle to find answers and stay alive while a fire storm builds in the Crazy Mountains of Montana.

I really enjoyed this read. This is the fourth book in this series and as there is an overarching storyline going on here, I do recommend that you read these books in order. I think that Sebastian and Jenna’s book was by far the most gripping of the series so far. There is an intense blend of mystery, danger, suspense, drama, emotion and romance in play here that will keep you on the edge of your seat and reading past your bedtime. I’m eagerly looking forward to book five.
4.5 Stars
This is book 4 in the Iron Horse Legacy series and it features Bastian McKinnon and Jenna Meyers. She’s his younger sisters best friend and she’s been in love with him since their high school days. He’d been in love with someone else but she died in a car accident before they graduated. He vowed to never love another after that. He joined the Navy, became a SEAL and never looked back. Back in Eagle Rock to look for his kidnapped father, Bastian never counted on seeing Jenna and the protective impact she would have on him. Their chemistry is sparking from the beginning. It’s like their attraction was natural and they stepped into being a couple seamlessly. Like he finally figured out that he’d been in mourning for much too long and the perfect woman was right in front of him.
This is an amazing story line with equally amazing characters. I am so invested in these fabulous characters and their missing father. The clues have me on the edge of my seat! I can’t wait for the next book!
This is another great addition to this wonderful series about the McKinnon family whose patriarch has gone missing and whose four sons all military men have returned home to help in the search for him. We have already had Angus, Duncan and Colin’s story and now we get Bastian’s (Sebastian) Can you see the thread in the names someone likes the alphabet.
Bastian is a Navy SEAL and after losing his one true love in a car accident when he was only eighteen he has sworn that he will never marry anyway the life of a Seal doesn’t blend very well with marriage it would have to be a special kind of woman to survive her husband been missing most of the time. He and his brothers are searching for their father unwilling to assume that he is dead after all he is ex military and as tough as they come. Then they get a new lead Jenna Meyers a local real estate agent as discovered what looks to be a torture site in a cabin she was checking out could it be where their father was held. Jenna has history with the McKinnon familt she is Molly’s best friend and always had a crush on Bastian but he never looked at her that way he only had eyes for Laura When her ex husband almost beat her to a pulp it was the McKinnon women that cared for her during her recovery. When her discovery puts her in danger it is Bastian who will step up to make sure she is safe, and in the process he will start to look at her in a whole new way as he finally found a woman strong enough to be the wife of a Navy SEAL. Now can’t wait for the next book in this wonderful series will Molly end up with Parker or is that just a red herring on Elle’s part.
I was lucky enough to get a copy of this book through BookFunnel and I voluntarily chose to review it. This is an awesome book. It is full of suspense. I don’t do spoilers so you will have to get this one to find out what I am talking about. Elle James is a favorite author of mine and I have been reading her for a really long time. I know I will get a book worth my time and money when I see her name on a book. Go get this one it is worth it!!!
SEAL’s Vow is a fantastic romantic suspense by Elle James. Ms. James once more takes readers on a wild ride with this well-written book. Bastian and his family are still trying to find their father. Jenna is a new real estate agent and when the people she was due to show a house to never arrived, she went exploring for extra cash from an insurance agency and stumbles across a scene that could only be the site of where someone was tortured. Bastian and Jenna’s story is cover to cover action and suspense, drama, humor and sizzle. Don’t start this book before it’s time to start dinner, or your family will be eating a late dinner, this book is hard to put down. I enjoyed this book and can’t wait for my next book by Elle James. SEAL’s Vow is book 4 of the Iron Horse Legacy Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from Bookfunnel. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The stories just keep getting better. Sebastian and his brothers are getting closer to finding their dad. Sebastian has known Jenna as his little sister’s annoying friend. She sure has grown up. When her life is in danger, Sebastian will do anything to protect her. It is all tied into his father’s disappearance. But how? While looking for his dad, he has to keep Brenna safe too. Can he keep his heart out of it or will he have to surrender to the inevitable?
I loved this book. Bastian is a Navy Seal on leave to find his father. Brenna is a realtor with a sideline of private investigator. This book grabs your interest on page one and doesn’t let go. I stayed up late reading it because I couldn’t put it down. Bastian and Brenna are great together, very likeable. This book is loaded with suspense, mystery, humor, romance and deep emotions. The places that they go are described in a way that makes you feel like you’re there too. I received an ARC for an honest review and I loved it and think that you will too. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
SEAL’s Vow by Elle James is the fourth book in her Iron Horse Legacy series. The overriding arc of the missing patriarch of the McKinnon family continues. The plot line progresses to set up the final resolution. I greatly admired the two main characters Jenna Meyers and Sebastian McKinnon. Both are strong, very likeable characters. I liked seeing Hank Patterson and his Brotherhood Protectors as part of this story as well as Sebastian’s brothers and their mates. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series.
Book 4 of the McKinnon family whose father has been missing. The book continues with the family looking for him. This book is Jenna and Bastion’s story. The characters are great plus the interaction of them all is good. You’ll see some of the Brotherhood Protectors which is always great. Will they find their father before it’s to late? It’s a great read that you won’t want to put down till it’s done. Can’t wait for book 5 !
I have enjoyed this series, and this story is a good addition.
If you haven’t read the previous stories, the series centers around the McKinnon brothers whose father has been missing for weeks . Likely kidnapped in the mountains, they will stop at nothing to find him.
Jenna Meyers has lived in town all her life and is friends with Molly, the only sister of the McKinnon’s clan. Jenna recently left an abusive marriage and is trying to make a name it as a real estate agent. When she encounters a dilapidated cabin, and goes in to investigate she not only finds blood but men are determined to harm her.
She escapes and she goes to inform the sheriff she once again. That’s when she sees her teenage crush, Sebastian/Bastian McKinnon. A Navy SEAL on leave.
The attraction is immediate but both have a great deal of baggage.
The plot was engaging, and the characters interesting. My one issue with the story is the insta-romance between Jenna and Bastian. Mostly from Bastian’s POV. That said, it was an entertaining story.
I suspect Molly will be getting her story soon, likely with Parker and hopefully, the senior McKinnon will be found alive.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
So enjoyed this book. Great storyline, love the characters and the interaction between them and the supporting characters. Jenna and Sebastian make a great pair. Definitely recommend reading this book along with the series. Each is a standalone with an overall them throughout.
