He has awakened to claim a mate, but first he must tame her. When the spell that put him to sleep was cast, Kellan thought his rest would last forever, but after centuries of slumber he has been awakened at last. Now instinct demands that he claim a mate and sire offspring with her to rebuild his species and reclaim their rightful place in the world.Mioruilt has the blood of dragons in her veins … of dragons in her veins and taming her will not be easy, but he wouldn’t want it to be. Even while he slumbered he dreamed of her… of all the things he would do to her, of how he would sternly he would punish her defiance and how shamefully he would ravage her.
Now it is time.

Mioruilt is a gift to her parents, who thought they would never have a child. After they’re killed, she discovers that she’s a dragon-shifter. Kellen is the second of the sleeping dragons to wake, doing so because his fated mate is near. I’ve been waiting for this book, and it does not disappoint. Kellan is strong, possessive and dominant, and he loves Mioruilt as passionately as he disciplines her. Even though he takes in her little ragtag band of women, making her mad in the process, he seems to be genuinely concerned for their safety and well-being. I love Mioruilt and her sassy mouth, even if it gets her in a heap of trouble with Kellan. I also love that she’s not afraid to use her fire. It was nice so see that Bridget is still as feisty as ever, giving Gideon a run for his money every chance she gets. I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.

This had a sad start but in the story we find a strong heroine Mioruilt who is Kellan’s fated mate. He’s dominate and doesn’t give Mioruilt a chance to breathe to think. He just wants her to feel their connection and to accept it. It is a good story about dragons. Well, dragons who have a dominant & “hand”.

I thought the story line was pretty good. When both Mioruilt and Kellan had been having the same dream, I expected the author to pick up where they left off not writing the same scene a third time.

This book started out pretty interesting, and then became just ok. I originally thought KU had provided a bad copy. There was a dream sequence in the book that was repeated so often, almost verbatim, that I thought something had gone wrong with the editing.
There wasn’t as much story as I have come to expect in Delta James books. By the time we got to the Dragon lineage, and sold alliance info, the majority of the book had to do with the whole “rutting” thing.
I would give this 2.5 stars.
This book is an exceptionally well-written action-packed, page-turning, romantic, dragon romance story with well-developed strong characters with depth. This story is stand-alone with action, adventure, danger, romance, and love. These characters are very well crafted. This is a must read story by a really great Author

Just finished Sealord, loved it. That Moiruilt becomes a dragon not know owing it will happen was awesome. That she behaves just as a dragon would priceless. But the discipline of her first landing made me laugh so hard it was embarrassing.
Kellan like all Deltas male characterso is all strong, dominating, spanking male, who rules with an iron will and a firm hand, buts loves just as fiercely.
Delta gives hints to the next books in the series that wet your hunger for more. This is the time in a series where I wish I had waited till read it until all the books were done. But now I can look forward to rereading them all when it is.
Don’t wait get it now, and if you haven’t read Dragonlord, or any of the other in this series don’t wait any longer.

I enjoyed the last book I read, but this one, while I enjoyed the plot, I found the constant “disobedience” of female characters annoying and it was a constant circle of reluctance. I skimmed over those parts. To me, it was overdone, but ill still be on the lookout for other books by Delta since I loved the first book I read so much.

This was a good read. I thought Míorúilt’s part of the story was particularly interesting and I thought the story between Kellan and Míorúilt was entertaining. While as a whole, I did enjoy this read I also admit that I was not happy with the amount of repetition that occurred in this book. I am posting a volitional, forthright review.
3.5 Stars
The story line and character work were good. The book had a fairly smooth flow to it. This book is repetitive and could use some refining and editing to get rid of the repetitive scenes since they do not add to the story, they just distract from it. All that being said, I did enjoy the book and was entertained by it.

This is a great read that is fast paced and entertaining. You are drawn into the story of Míorúilt, the only surviving dragon born female, and Kellan who claims her as his mate. Being raised by humans, Míorúilt did not know she was a dragon shifter until they are killed by marauding wolves and her overpowering desire to avenge their deaths causes her dragon to come forth. Now she is alone with no family and she strikes out on her own. Dreams become real and she finally meets the man sho has seen in her reoccurring dreams and that is Kellan. The sexual interaction between them is very erotic and at the same time it includes a lot of discipline as she has a hard time doing what she is told. There is a lot going on in this story that makes for a fantastic read. Loved this story and was sorry to see it end. There is danger lurking and no one seems to be aware of her. This story leads into the next book which adds to the mystery and the increasing danger. This is a fantastic read and I would highly recommend this book as a great read.
Good read. I have read all of Delta James’ books and must admit that while this was a good read, it was not great. For some reason, I just did not connect with the characters as much as I have in the past and found the storyline to be minimal until the end. I am, however looking forward to where the tale takes us next.
A captivating read from beginning to end! An exciting storyline that leaves you breathless wanting more! Sexy steam filled chemistry! Emotionally heartfelt, enjoyable and fun! One heck of a twisted, intense rollercoaster ride! An amazing must read!
Mioruilt, her parents are dead and something comes alive in her, protects her. And now she knows what the other half of her is. She flies to a cave in which she discovers that her parents once lived, and over time she takes in other women like her, wanting to be free.
Kellan has woken up, he believes it to be the time his mate is near. He flies of to his castle which is in need of repairs, meeting his beta who swears to protect him. After getting all fixed he then goes and gets his mate.
Both have been dreaming of each other, Mioruilt resistes and dosnt believe that she is his mate, and gets locked in a cell, while Kellan gets more things ready for the night. But Mioruilt soon runs but is captured by Kellan who in return shows her what naughty mates get when they run away from their mates.
A thoughly entertaining story, i just enjoy these books, they have everything a women needs in them, hot, juicy a dominant man who knows how to treat naughty women, and last of all women who are sassy and dont think they want a mate.
5 stars plus for a truely wonderful story
A great second book in Delta’s dragon shifter series as Kellan, the lord of the seas awakens, returns to his home and discovers his mate. As usual, a wonderful story, great characters and steamy in all the right places. Delta’s books can be read alone but are much more enjoyable if you read them all.
Caoimhe and Oisin bring a crystal egg from the cave they had sheltered in. When Caoimhe placed it near the fire, it hatched a tiny baby girl, Mioruilt. They raised her as their daughter until one day while Mioruilt is out wandering, her parents are killed by a rogue wolf pack. While being chased by those rogues, Mioruilt suddenly starts breathing fire and then turns into a dragon. She spends the next few years starting a community for women.
Kellan is one of the four sleeping dragons. Gideon woke up and found Bridget and now Kellan is dreaming of Mioruilt and eventually wakes. He immediately senses that his ‘true heart’ is out there and he finds her in Mioruilt. Mioruilt does not want to be claimed and does everything that she can to get away from the dragon lord. It doesn’t work and she becomes the mate of another arrogant dragon! These dragon shifters are worse than the wolf shifters! Mioruilt and Kellan find their HEA. Bridget and Gideon show up as secondary characters. We also have the set up for the next two books. I can’t wait for the rest of the series.

3.5 Stars A good read but not a unique story line
I enjoyed this book for the most part. Was it as good as the others in this series – nothing stood out. The other books in this series seemed to have much more of a story line that flowed throughout the whole book. I did not find this to be the case in this book. It seemed to totally focus on the relationship between the two dragons – one who we first heard of in the previous book “Dragonlord” and a female dragon who was unknowingly raised as a human. This seemed more like a preamble (set up) of a future story or maybe a couple of future stories. Normally while a book might lead you to the next book,, it still had its own story. This seemed to be lacking in this books. While it was an enjoyable read, it was quite not what I expected from this author.

I really enjoyed reading this outstanding, dark dragon shifter romance & it can be read as a standalone. It has a well-paced, strong plot filled with some unexpected situations & it certainly grabbed my attention within the first few pages & kept it until the end. The characters are strong-willed individuals with unique personalities that display a determination to succeed although the female character portrays realistic defiance & tries to avoid an inevitable future. There is good support from the secondary characters.
It is about: the second male dragon shifter & Lord of the Sea (Kellan) has finally awaken from his slumber with one thought in his mind & that is to claim his mate (Miorúilt) of whom he has been dreaming about but she is not too keen about this idea.
There is: dragon shifters, friendship, fated mates, action, adventure, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, tragedy, sanctuary, dreams, determination, confrontations, manipulations, defiance, threats, coercion, some dubious/non-consensual scenes, emotional turmoil, discipline, spankings, steamy scenes, contentment & a very interesting ending that is paving the way for the next book in the series. I enjoyed read this dark dragon shifter romance & would recommend it to people who enjoy reading this genre. I sincerely doubt that you would be disappointed.
Kellan awakes from his slumber. He immediately locates Mioruilt. He is persistent, she is resilient.
