This is the second book in a series. I’m really glad that I didn’t have to wait for this book, after reading book one. It picked right up with new threats against Ella and Connor. The villain in these books was truly heinous. I love a good villain. I also really liked the secondary characters, especially her brother. I hope there is more to come in this series.

This book continues from the First Book, Scripted Reality which i would highly recommend reading first.
Still Hurt by her ex boyfriend Donovan Bell’s actions, Ella is now coming to a place where she feels she can move on with her life. Her feelings for Connor are growing and the chemistry between this couple is bubbling like molten Lava ready to explode !!!! Yet again just when things are going great, Donovan rears his ugly head. Ella is feeling on edge when he tries to contact her acting like they are or should be still together. Things take little twists for the worse with his threats and stalkerish behaviour. Can Connor and Ella survive? Is their new found love strong enough?
Quite a lot happens in this book and i’m not going to give anything away. I definitely found myself more caught up in this book, and some super little twists i didn’t expect. A couple of side characters, particularly one almost stole the show !! Connor definitely stole my heart in this book, and Ella really is the kind of person we all want to be !! Well written and a super read !!
Book two starts where book one left is hanging. Elle trying to avoid the ex love she has shared the last five years with; Donovan Bell. A guy that took everything from her leaving her destitute. In true fashion Donovan returns and tries to win Elle back but she has already moved on with Connor, Donovan’s best friend!
This book sees both Elle & Connors characters grow both as individuals and as a couple. We thought Connor was such a down to earth guy but Karen rips our heart open when we learn of his heart breaking past. These characters were a great match as they healed each other before moving forward to claim their HEA.
There are a few twists and turns you don’t see coming and this makes the story more interesting as it avoids predictability. I was more invested in the second part to the story than I was the first. I thought Elle’s character was a bit weak and fickle but I felt she redeemed herself here.
All in all it’s a lovely heart felt romance and I would thoroughly recommend it to those that want a little drama, angst but nothing too heavy.
This is a continuation from Book one. Book one must be read first.
The stort picks up where book one ended. Donovan is still showing his true colors. Ella now realizes how much better off she is without him in her life. Connor has his own skeltons in his closet that come out thanks to Donovan. Can these two get back to the place they were before secrets were revealed?
I enjoyed the charity work that the characters take on. Shows them what real people go through and love how they find a way to help.
Donovan was a big part of the first book, I would have liked to see a little more with how he was handled. But this was a great book and I definitely will be looking for more from this author.
In Scripted Love by Karen Frances, book two in the Scripted duet, we get the conclusion to Conner and Ella’s story. I truly enjoyed reading Scripted Reality, book one, however, Scripted Love blew me away. It was a touching story with all the feels.
First, this is the second book in a duet, so you must read Scripted Reality first. Second, I am so glad I got to read both books back-to-back, because as soon as you are done with the first, you want to get your hands on the next one. It seemed as if Ella was finally ready to move forward with Connor by her side. But then their past returns to haunt them both. Suddenly Ella’s ex and Conner’s past put them in the spotlight. Can this new relationship survive?
I loved the conclusion of Ella and Conner’s story in Scripted Love and am looking forward to reading more from this author. We see Ella and Conner’s true strength, love and resolve. We cheer for them and swoon. This was an amazing read and one I highly recommend!
4.5 stars. Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
I’ve enjoyed this book as much as the first one.
I was really glad to read this as soon as I’ve finished Scripted Reality,I didn’t have to wait in order to know more about these characters and their future.
Ella’s ex boyfriend and agent has finally showed himself and his vicious plan to hinder her new relationship with the fellow scottish actor Connor Andrews and to make her life miserable.
I grew so attached to the main characters I couldn’t not to root for them,to be happy for their successes and to shed few tears when they felt hopeless.
This duet is worth reading,Karen Frances made a great job creating this perfect couple and telling their story.
This was an emotional conclusion to the Scripted Reality. I binge read this after doing the same to the first book, and thoroughly enjoyed the roller-coaster this book provided! This book provides the awe-inspiring conclusion to her first book.
This book starts with Ella facing her betrayer, and having to continually face his passive threats and resulting jabs at her life, love and livelihood. It was fantastic to see how Ella took her situation and crisis, and grew and found strength and a purpose. She takes Donovan’s betrayal and her family’s love and trust and turns it into a second purpose in her life. “My life has taken a completely different path and I can’t help but smile at how happy I am.”
Scripted Love follows Ella and her love Connor. Their the same great characters from the last book, but they face additional struggles as they try to work through their lives. But along the way they meet new friends, keep up with old friends, and rely on their family. All these characters are well detailed, give a needed depth and base to the story.
Connor and Ella’s relationship is put to the test in this book. Despite the challenges they face, their love stayed strong and true. No matter the situation, their love shone through and they had plenty of steamy moments to get them through the tough spots. None of them felt forced, it was all true and heartfelt emotional connection, romance, and sex! “Love is so hard to describe, but when you have it in your life, you find yourself grinning from ear to ear.”
Once again Karen Frances created an well written story that drew me in. The devastating details of not only Ella and Connor, but their families and new pieces of their lives make you root for them and wonder what you can be doing better. “I’ve realised lately that I have to make time for the things that matter to me…” I think that quote is something that everyone should take to heart. We all need to prioritize the things that are important. And this book reminds us that even fictional people have struggles, loves, and changing priorities.
I am so glad Connor and Ella were able to get their happy ending after the cliffhangar of the previous book. I love that their lives wrapped up nicely, but not too quickly and neatly. Life isn’t neat and tidy. The plotline and characters worked well through their troubles and life experiences and grew. “My life has taken a completely different path and I can’t help but smile at how happy I am.” I hope each and every reader has the ability and opportunity to be happy and content in their lives.
