Language a bit much
Really loved the characters in this book.
I enjoyed reading this book. Loved the plot and characters.
Quick read and enjoyed the twists. Looking forward to getting into more of Piper Davenport’s books in this series.
I love piper and the dogs of fire series
I enjoyed it
it was definitely a page turner, I would continue to read the next in the series .
This is a sweet romance with multifaceted characters, solid writing and a strong story arc that kept me hooked to the end. If bad boys are your thing, you’ll love this series.
Good story with complicated characters. I have read several books by this author. She does not disappoint!
Not worth your time. No plot. Just a frame for sex
This was my first Piper Davenport book and it was awesome! I really wanted an MC book and this was perfect because it wasn’t as violent as other MC series or at least this book wasn’t. I still need to read the others in the series. I loved Maisie and her British sayings and Hatch who couldn’t help but save and protect Maisie and Poppy and anyone else in their world. Really loved this story.
Yet another story in this unbeatable MC series, loveable grumpy Hatch meets his Sunshine. The best bit is that there is also a novella due out too.
Book 6 in the Dogs of Fire MC series, this book is about Hatch and Maisie.
I love that this book is about an older (late 30s, early 40s, so mature but not too old!) couple that have dealt with life’s ups and downs. They both think they have a good life, despite having dealt with their own tragedies. And that may be, but there is just that little something that they don’t realize is missing……..
Hatch is an auto mechanic that raised his younger siblings after his mom’s death. He seems gruff and intimidating, but he’s really a big teddy bear with those he loves. Maisie is a widow with a preteen daughter. She has been alone for a long time and thinks she always will be. She is strong enough to be an amazing mother, a CEO, and a great friend.
A chance meeting, followed by a scary situation brings them together, despite initial reluctance on both their parts. There is enough action and drama to keep anyone interested.
This is a great story about finding love when you least expect it, and having the good sense to grab on with both hands!
Another great story from Piper Davenport! I have enjoyed all of the Dogs of Fire series and this one did not disappoint! It was very refreshing to have hero and heroine that were not really young or have a huge age difference. I would read the rest of the series to fully enjoy the book. But if you are looking for a Alpha male and a sassy heroine then this is the book for you!
Hatch meets Maisie after her car breaks down and he helps her out. Neither is looking for a relationship, but fate conspires to keep them in each other’s path. I really enjoyed the way Hatch was so protective of Maisie and her daughter Poppy, as well as his sister Cricket. I love the flashes of humor mixed into the intrigue and drama. I hope to read some more about Hatch’s family, and I can’t wait for more of the Dogs of Fire.
I have tried to avoid spoilers, but I kept finding myself having to delete things in the review that had me excited, thrilled, wanting to share. .
Dear Ms. Davenport, I hate you. I love you. I can’t get enough of you. You are my kryptonite. I should have known better than to begin reading last night. You used your magic with words, grabbing me and holding me hostage until you chose to let me go when the story ended.
I will admit I have a weakness for the author’s books no matter what name she writes under. Piper Davenport proves that MC books don’t have to be filled with illicit sex to interesting. (Don’t get me wrong, there is sex.) MC books don’t need to be dark, filled with violence to hold the reader’s attention. MC stories I read have to be plausible and keep me wanting, no needing, more. Road to Peace is that and so much more.
Hatch, Sergeant at Arms for Dogs of Fire, is looking for anything but love. After raising his brothers and sister he has earned a good life. After his wife destroyed him; he deserves peace. Hatch thought that was enough until he met Maisie Mann. “She was like the first ray of sunshine after the rain” Best line EVER!!!!!!! Hatch had me after that.
Maisie wasn’t expecting Hatch or the feelings he stirred. Widowed ten years, she was content with her life, or so she thought. Maisie knew there was something between them, but she couldn’t, wouldn’t act.
When the worst happens, Maisie’s daughter calls Hatch in a panic. The brakes failed. The car crashed. The airbags didn’t deploy. Maisie is hurt and unconscious. (Can I just say that Poppy is a really sweet girl.)
Hatch thinks nothing of going to their aid. He will not leave Maisie’s side. He will care for them. He will protect them. He will not rest until he knows that they are safe. The question was who wanted Maisie, the CEO, dead. The suspense killed me. My curiosity got the best of me. I didn’t need sleep. I needed resolution. Oh My!!! I didn’t see it coming. Maisie definitely didn’t see it coming.
Drama filled the pages. Maisie’s world turned upside down. Hatch never let go. He and the club were there through every twist and turn. Together they find their Happily Ever After making a very ecstatic reader.
Another great story from Piper Davenport! I have enjoyed all of the Dogs of Fire series and this one did not disappoint! It was very refreshing to have hero and heroine that were not really young or have a huge age difference. I would read the rest of the series to fully enjoy the book. But if you are looking for a Alpha male and a sassy heroine then this is the book for you!
really enjoyed this story, even with the very difficult part to read for me. It was so real. so much emotion. So much love. this whole series is great
Road to Peace was an interesting novel. The easy-to-read and entertaining plot was filled with romance, intrigue, and lust. Furthermore, the author created an upbeat tone throughout the narrative by using vivid details. Overall, I enjoyed reading about the main characters, Maisie and Hatch.
