My childhood was perfect.
I’ve led a charmed life, and I’m not going to blow it now by picking the wrong guy.
I’ve got my sights set on my brother’s best friend.
He’s known my family for years. He’s reliable and kind and handsome.
Sure, he’s been avoiding me since I was six.
I’m a bit aggressive for him, maybe.
But he’s the one… right?
Jana Aston is becoming one of my favorite authors. She has wonderful characters.
Everly was so witty and funny and I love a happy ending!
Well written. A joy to read.
Entertaining book
Everly thought she had everything right in her plans for life. Sawyer is at the right place at the right time when he meets Everly. Everly kept you chuckling as she had no filter when she talks to someone. Overall I liked this book better than I did wrong the first book.
Love this series!
Loved it.
I absolutely loved this book! I laughed so much and couldn’t wait to finish. Jane is fast becoming one of favorite authors.
This book is about a young college student who has loved her older brother’s best friend since she was six years old. My problem with this book, as with all in the series, is that the women are so much younger than the men, as much as 14 years. This book seems to deal with the age difference better than the others. Everly is very mature for her age and has had her future mapped out since she was six. The arrival of Sawyer completely unravels her plans. There is a lot of unnecessary vulgarity since the sex is steamy by itself.
It’s a fast easy read with a charming guy and an obtuse girl.
Characters were cute but, way too much sex and sexual detail. Ewwww.
My 1st Aston read and I am hooked!! Love the characters, especially the zany storyteller!! If you like quirky and a little chuckle here and there, I highly recommend this read!! On to another of her books!!
Great read. I’d give it more stars if I could.
Oops! She did it again!
Jana Aston is no one hit wonder. So much so she has earned a permanent place on my very short automatic “one click” list. She proves that she’s here to stay with her sophomore effort “Right”. It’s a stand alone rom com that neatly dovetails into Ms. Aston’s hilarious, outrageous debut, “Wrong”.
“Right” is the story of Sophie’s barista buddy, Everly. When we met Everly in “Wrong” she was that oblivious, princess type friend we all know who is fun – up to a point. Full of outrageous, unsolicited advice, she was amusing but I questioned whether she could carry a book. Could Everly’s antics and her obsession with her brother’s best friend/her professor engage my heart and make me care about her story? The answer is a resounding YES! My fears were unfounded and the Everly we met in “Wrong” is just a small sliver of her personality. The off duty Everly is full of sparkle, heart, drive and dreams. She’s an engaging, amusing plucky heroine. I loved her unflagging optimism, even when her completely insane schemes are crumbling before her eyes. And the mouth on her is just mind boggling – she had me laughing and shaking my head, and wishing I had a friend like her around to brighten my days.
And then there’s Sawyer – the monkey wrench in all of her best laid, meticulously chronicled plans. Rich. Smart. Funny as Hell. And more. He loves her in all her outrageous insanity – and she’s finally met her match in him. But can she see beyond her plan to realize it? You’ll need to read and find out.
If you want to laugh out loud and smile so hard your cheeks hurt – you can’t go wrong with “Right”.
“But I’m open to trying whatever your thing is. Unless it’s anal. I’m saving anal for marriage.”
A very funny and light romance. I absolutely loved Everly. I want to be her!!! She is awesome: funny, crazy and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. She is a very colorful character! Normally I don’t read a lot of funny romances because I am more of a dark romance lover. But I was in a book funk and couldn’t get into any book I picked up, so I decided to try something light. I decided to give Right a chance and was pleasantly surprised how much I loved it. I was sucked in right away and wanted to know what would happen in this book. The major thing that made me love this book was that the main character Everly was just the most awesome person. The way she talked to her friends and strangers was very refreshing. This book itself was refreshing.
“Sparks do not fly. Chills do not run through my body. I do not suddenly recognize this man as my soulmate based on a handshake. Such bullshit. His hand is nice though.”
The author did such a great job with this book. Everly got herself in strange situations, I couldn’t believe how persistent she was. She really went after what she wanted, and she didn’t let go. I was glad the author didn’t drag it out. The first few chapters went back and forth between the past and present (VERY SMALL CHAPTERS!!) and gave us a great idea what Everly was up to.
Overall I really enjoyed this book but I did almost give it 3 stars because of something that happened in the last quarter of the book. It was a bit cliche. It added unnecessary drama. I think if the character handled the situation better I wouldn’t have minded it that much.
“I tap on the side of the glass and Steve waves his little fish fin at me while blowing bubble kisses. No, not really. He’s a fish, and they do absolutely nothing”
“Sorry, I had to buy you dinner,” I explain while I unwrap half of my brat, like a burrito.
“Why’s that?” he asks, taking a bite of his.
“My roommate insisted it’s the polite thing to do before I fuck you”.
“Anyway, why can’t I suck your dick tonight? You’re being unreasonable.”
I have read Aston’s first book, Wrong, which isn’t a necessary read to enjoy Right, but it does have a bit of an appetizer for the cray-cray that is Everly…and it is a well-written book if you enjoy humor, chemistry, character, and romance with a bit of erotica.
Everly Jensen is unapologetic joy in living. She is the kind of character who is just so sure of herself that she sometimes doesn’t let reality or propriety get in the way of her goals. But she also seems like a real person — not a caricature created for laughs. And the guy who falls for her seems to really the way her mind works…meaning he isn’t just attracted to her because she happens to be the protagonist and he happens to be super handsome.
There are a lot of great twists, pacing, and plotting. This is a fun, funny, and sexy read. Everly and her fella make a great team.
(I am curious about what Chloe’s story could be. She may be a quiet girl, but a lifelong friendship with Everly has to do things to you.)
Love, Love, LOVE!!!! I love this series! This author is really one of my new favorites for her awesome style of writing (love it when they aren’t repetitive) and the banter between characters gives me all the feels!
I really enjoyed this read. Funny, sexy, and quirky. Everly met her match and then some, and Sawyer is totally swoon-worthy. Highly recommend this book!
If you’re looking for a fantatic rom-com, Look no further – Jana Aston is for you!Love, Love, Love Right and the rest of this series! Jana Aston writes the most brilliant, hilarious, engaging characters and storylines. I was hooked when I read Wrong. I have since collected all 4 books in the series and the audios. These audios are honestly some of the absolute best every. Erin Mallon is total perfection.
In Right we get Everly & Sawyers story. We first met Everly in Wrong as Sophie’s roommate and best friend. She is such a hoot. Her perspective and way of thinking is one of kind. She is convinced she’s meant to marry one of her college professors. Tries to seduce and win him over but fails. Then we meet his brother, Sawyer – who coincidentally decides Everly is meant to be his. It’s frreaking hilarious how the tables turn. They are clever. Funny. Sexy. I couldn’t help but root for these two through everything life throws their way. Also as a bonus we get snippets of the characters from Wrong, Luke & Sophie too. Gah this series keeps getting better and better. Funnier. Hotter. Sexier.
If you’re looking for a fantatic rom-com, look no further – Jana Aston is for you!
Everly , Finn and Sawyer …this is not a love triangle . It is a funny, endearing laugh out loud romcom!
Everly has been in love with her brother’s best friend Finn since she can remember but he has always treated her like a little sister. No matter how she tries to wedge herself into his life it never turns out right. She has never had her sights on Finn’s brother Sawyer , he is older brooding and arrogant. Although he seems to have taken in interest in the lovely Everly . The chasing of the wrong brother may just lead her to the right one ! I loved their witty , sarcastic banter! They have an amazing sexual chemistry and watch in their relationship unfold was so Right !!!
Loved It !!
