Book One of the Resurrection Trilogy and now optioned for film, from prize-winning author Michael J. Totten Welcome to a world turned to ashes. Annie Starling is missing her memory of the last eight weeks–the most devastating in history. It started in Russia and went global in a matter of days, the most virulent virus the world has ever known. It’s stripping its victims of every last thing that … of every last thing that makes them human. And that’s just the beginning. The other survivors are no less dangerous than the infected.
She meets Lane, who stops at nothing to assert power and control over everybody who’s left; Kyle, who dreams of building a new world upon the ruins of the old; Hughes, who lost the ability to feel after burying his family; and Parker, who threatens to tear himself and his companions apart.
And when her memories finally return, Annie discovers a terrifying secret that could change everything–but she can’t tell a soul what it is.
Praise for Resurrection: A Zombie Novel
“For fans of World War Z and The Walking Dead, Michael J. Totten’s Resurrection is the novel you’ve been waiting for.” – Scott William Carter, author of Ghost Detective
“In the tradition of The Walking Dead, Michael J. Totten delivers a must-read with Resurrection. Action packed with a wicked twist, this is one book I couldn’t put down.” –Annie Reed, author of The Patient Z Files
“Resurrection dragged me in from the first page, with fast-paced, suspense-filled action and multi-layered and totally believable characters. Painting a vivid and gritty picture of a post-apocalyptic Northwest, Totten puts us into the minds and emotional struggles of a group of mismatched survivors forced to band together for protection even when they’re on the verge or ripping each other apart. He also wrote one of the scariest passages I’ve read in any horror or suspense story…so be warned if you’re afraid of the dark, or water, or both.” – JC Andrijeski, author of Rook

This book was gripping right from page one. As zombie novels go, this was one of my favorites. Immediately after finishing this book I went on to the next in the series.
Again, i have to leave a review. I had read a couple negative reviews of the book, that i completely disagree with, hence my review. I got this ebook free on Bookbub. This book caught me right from the get go. It was one of those books, that you just can’t put down. One of those books that you stay up to 3 a.m., just because you cant put it down, and the kind of book that you can’t wait to pick back up. The main characters in the book are very personable and their different personalities, make them very interesting and easy to like. There is a twist in the book, that i haven’t read in the hundreds of other zombie fiction ive read before. The book has lots of energy throughout, and definitely keeps your attention from start to finish. Its not just abt violence and kill shots, but also how ppl would/can survive if the plague actually could exist. I highly recommend this book, if you are a lover of all things zombie like i am. I am now going to go and buy the 2nd book to this series. Try this book out, because I think you will love it as much as i did.
No the best ZA but also not the worst. I’ll probably get the next two. This series is good because it actually ends. Many ZA series just keep going on and on with no conclusion.
I loved this book bought the second and about to buy the third!
Great read and offered an alternative view from zombie side
A very good book and kept me reading it to the end.
Totally enjoyed this book and I hope they make it into a movie. I highly recommend it. I really hope Annie makes it through in the next book but I wouldn’t shed any tears if Kyle doesn’t. An apocalypse with zombies and an unexpected twist – my favourite kind of book.
It was a very emotional book to read but very well reten and well thought of.
I am still reading this book, it gets to me and I have to put it down awhile, then go back to reading. Still reading.
Page turner , I like!!!
wow. just wow. I need to read more in the series. easy to follow characters. didn’t see where some of it was going which made it more interesting to read. I’d recommend it for an original take on the zombies and the possibility of immunity. looking forward to reading more in the series!!
I like zombie books, ever wonder what you will do when it hits, or riots begin as it seems America is getting closer to mass rioting, zombie books seem to do this for me.
*Spoiler starting in the second paragraph
This book was definetely a page turner, but there are some things that bothered me. My biggest problem is with Carol: she shoudn’t even be in the story. Yes, she did do some things, and had a memorable moment with Annie at the start, but not much would have changed if she wasn’t present. She barely had any dialogues, barely existed, and in the end I could not care less about her. She was just there.
Also, the relationship with Annie and Kyle seemed… forced. They had only exchanged a few sentences in the beginning and they were arready touchy-touchy and interested in each other. Their relationship didn’t progress, but rather happened in a second. Characters, such as Carol, and Patrick, are a bit too stereotypical, but I kinda like Patrick. Annie, predictable, Hugh, not bad, Patrick, predictable but interesting, Frank, you know, he ain’t that bad, and Kyle, boring. Although a lot is said about Kyle, he doesn’t seem to have a personality, but maybe that is just because he is young and naiive. Either way, his world revolves in Annie, arguing with Patrick, Annie again, never apologazing. The first part was too fast.
However, the second part is the best.
After Carol is gone and they move to the islands, the story gets from simple to a page-turner. The relationships between all of the characters are well understood, the characters change drastically throughout their journey, and we get to learn more about the “things” and the outside world. GOSH DO I LOVE THIS!
In a way I feel Kyle changes drastically after his little trip to the islands, I hate him now, but hey! At least I can feel something towards him. I have a complex relationship with Patrick. Sure, the man is not bad, he just has incredibly annoying flaws, but I have an idea of what triggers his aggressive behaviour, and he geniunely cares for everyone, and tries to change. Hugh’s role in their group is solid, and he is perfect for it. I want to know more about him. Annie doesn’t interest me as much still, but she is having some improvement, as well as her relationship with Patrick.
Her relationship with Kyle is dry now and I totally agree with her. Good girl.
Boy did I enjoy this! I want to know more about them. This book kept me inversted all the way through. I am exited to learn more about the “things” and how they think, as well as how society looks in different places.
Nothing because it won’t lemme read it
I normally do not enjoy zombie anything, but this book was phenomenal! I finished it in 2 days. Its realistic, original, and full of twists! Loved it!
i think it is cool
it totally suxed
I couldn’t stop reading this book. I can’t wait to read the next one in the series.
I love the walking dead tv show and this is similar but with a little bit of a difference. The Zombies in this is just as scary as the ones on tv. Good Page turner.
Scary
