Great read! Well written with real life misunderstanding and messy feelings. Great book to read when you have a short amount of time to just sit and enjoy. I would totally recommend
They where friends in school and Olivia finally worked up enough nerve to invite Weston to the school prom and he turned her down. She went away and formed a new life for herself Now she has returned to their home town and is rescued from a car accident by non other than Weston he is now a local firefighter The attraction is still there so begins a dance between them as they push and pull at one another Will these two ever admit their feelings for one another will they ever get a HEA You need to read to see.

OMG!! I love second chance romances. I really enjoyed reading this book. I fell in love with both Wes and Olivia, but their relationship was an emotional rollercoaster. I had a hard time putting this book down. Highly recommend.
A captivating, page-turner emotional second chance romance story. Well, described characters. A well-written book, I enjoyed reading. It was a pleasure to review.

Olivia had a major crush on Weston back in high school. She even went as far as to ask him to prom! However, things did not turn out the way she wanted and they ended up not having the relationship they both so badly wanted. Fast-forward sixteen years and they are now both established in their careers and still carry that torch for each other.
Rescue She is a second chance romance filled with angst, romance, smut and all the feels. There were times when I wanted to throw my iPad across the room because I was so aggravated with the characters. Then, there were times I was flipping the pages so darn fast to find out what happened next.
Smut. Sex. So. Much. Sex! It is like when these two finally meet again they cannot keep their hands off each other!! I never thought I would say that a book had just a tad too much sex.
Overall, Rescue She was a great read with all the emotional aspects. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
This is a totally new to me author, but one that I’m sure I’ll be following in the future. I’ve always enjoyed books about those in the emergency services finding their HEA. There is just something about the ones that give so much to their community finally finding love that makes me happy. This story is all of that, and so much more!
Olivia had a wonderful life, amazing parents, until her mother got sick and died when she was a teenager. She lost her way for a bit, until a new guy started at her school. He was a bit of a loner, and she tried to befriend him, only to get her heart crushed in the process. Life moves on, and years later, they are reunited. But the issues that kept them apart then, are still hanging around.
This book was absolutely amazing! Lots of chemistry, plenty of laughs, and more than a few tears combine to tell a story that I couldn’t help but love. Olivia and Wes were so perfect together, and I couldn’t help but cheer for them right from the beginning. This book is a definite must read for anyone that loves a steamy firefighter romance!
This story is an emotional rollercoaster ride to romance.Weston/Wes has been in love with Olivia/Liv since high school. He broke her heart to keep her safe from his abusive father. He was afraid his father would hurt Olivia to get to him more.Wes tried his best to keep the bruises and scars hidden. Now sixteen years later he knows he’s still in love with Liv.She will always be the only woman hel l ever love.Wes is a firefighter EMT.When Liv tries to break up with the guy from work she’s been dating he talks her into giving it a while longer for him to prove that they belong together. She finally agreed even though she knows she will never love anyone but Wes. One night Liv goes shopping for a dress to wear on her double date with her friend and her friends husband and the guy she’s dating. On her way home it’s foggy and a deer runs out in the road she hits her breaks and her car spins out of control hitting a tree.Wes is on duty with his best friend Grant this night Was is working firefighters not emts,as he uses the jaws of life to get the unconscious woman out of the car he can’t tell if he knows her because her face is covered in blood. But as she pulled on the backboard he sees a birth Mark on her he knows it’s Liv the only woman he’s ever loved. Now he vows to do whatever it takes to get her back.
It was a fabulous book from author that I have never heard of before. Since I have never heard of this author before this was such a treat to discover a new author. I enjoyed this book so much.
This is the 2nd book I’ve read written by Kara Liane; she has done an great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

A second chance story of a man who believes he was not worthy of the woman he loved and who he lost sixteen years ago. Olivia is in a car accident and Weston who is a firefighter saves her they realize that they both still have feelings for each other. But she is with Jarrod. I enjoyed reading how this story progressed and everything that happened in it. A book I would recommend. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the first Kara Liane’s book I’ve read and it won’t be the last. This book is about second chances between Olivia and Weston who fell in love in high school. But Weston was dealing with issues at home and pushed her away and now he’s back. The characters and storyline was well written. This is a sweet and heartwarming story, a must read.

I have read everything Kara Liane has written, from her debut book, until now, and all I can say is WOW.
This book is well thought out, well written and well executed.
Wes is deep, troubled and all tangled up inside (why do I love that so much?) Wes has a bit of an issue with emotions, and rightfully so. So much, that he has pushed his love of Olivia to the side in an effort to save her from him. (Seriously, why do I love troubled heroes SO much?)
Olivia is just wonderful. As much as I love me a good, troubled, deeply wounded hero, a good heroine really makes or breaks a book for me. And Olivia was just my cup of tea. Strong. Soft. Loving. Determined. Honest. Bold. She was never a doormat, though she wore her heart on her sleeve for West and carried a torch for him since they were teenagers.
Wes made me nuts sometimes. He just couldn’t see a good thing standing right in front of him. It’s like I wanted to shake him by the shoulders and tell him to snap out of it (Moonlight anyone?)
Kara combined sweet, heat, secrets, swoon-worthy romance and amazingly well-developed side characters who need their own stories (cough cough) and I seriously couldn’t gush about this book enough.
Young infatuation for each other and goes down to a simmer for 16 years. Only to flame up high after he saves her life so many years later. It is such a sweet, emotional, exciting read. One I enjoyed very much and highly recommend. I was given a review copy on hidden gems and voluntarily review it.

This is a new author to me, and I will certainly be looking out for her work in the future. Weston and Olivia met in high school and did not confess their feelings for each other. Now 16 years later Olivia is in an accident, and Wes is a first responder. Can these two have a second chance at love? No spoilers; this is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed. This is a good story which has me intrigued and hooked throughout, and I look forward to reading more from this author.
Sweet, sexy second-chance romance
Wes and Olivia clicked instantly in high school, but his family life prevented him from pursuing anything more than friendship. Separated after high school, it’s not until many years later that their paths cross again and give them a second chance. There are quite a few obstacles that they have to overcome before they get their HEA, but their devotion to each other never wanes, even when they’re not able to express it.
This was a bit of a slow burn love story, with a sweet HEA and epilogue. The secondary romance was also very nice to watch, and I’m very glad the author included it alongside the main story rather than spinning it off in another book. This was a captivating book, one I know I’ll read again. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Olivia had a crush on Weston in high school so when she ask him to senior prom he turned her down she felt he didn’t return her feelings but actually he was shielding her from his terrible home life. Sixteen years later when she is in a accident he is a firefighter who response and they reconnect but she is in a relationship that is not what she wants and finally she breaks it off. Can Olivia and Weston make a relationship work after all those years apart?

High School the time most find their first love. this is no different for Olivia and Weston. Olivia has just lost her mother to cancer and has lost her way until Weston moves to town and its love at first sight. Weston new to town doesn’t have a great home life and doesn’t want to bring the only bright spot Oliva into his terrible life. The only thing he can look forward to is firefighting. 16 years later Oliva is in a horrific car accident and Weston is saving her. Can their love still hold or will their past get in the way?
This is the first book that I have read by this author. This is a fairly quick read and it was easy to follow. It was a bit slow at times but it always draws you back in. I love books about first responders. There was not a lot of parts about that specifically if that is what you are after. The story does revolve around the love story that spans the 16 years. I am not disappointed in the book it was good overall. I would recommend it. I look forward to giving other books by this author a read.

In real life how many people lose out on the love of their life just because they think they are not worthy of the other person. Doubt is something everyone feels and it is wonderful when doubt can be sent out the door. This sweet romance has two people who have known each other since school both are attracted to each other now the only question can they get their act together. Love the characters Wes a firefighter and Liv are two great people and as you read you will want them to have that HEA. This is a book you really should read. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

This is the first book from this author that I have read. I chose it as I adore reading romances with first responders. This one didn’t disappoint either. I absolutely fell in love with Weston and Olivia. The secondary characters were quite wonderful as well.
The book was written in my favorite dual POV format. It was very necessary here especially regarding Weston’s side. I have never had anything like what he suffered though happen in my life. It helped to see his side of things and the reason behind some of his actions.
What a wonderful story. This book is for people over 18 (or mature readers). I look forward to reading more from this author.
